Rudston Driffield in East Riding of Yorkshire

We arrived mid-week for lunch. We asked for the menu and were given a scruffy, poorly printed off piece of paper on a clip-board. Concluding that that was an indication of the standards in that establishment we left.

It was a dreadful night, stormy and pouring down. We arrived after an horrendous drive, the welcome was warm, lovely food and warm atmosphere and the wine was fabulous. My only disappointment was the desserts I'm sure they were lovely but very traditional, I prefer something a little lighter. Lovely young man behind the bar. Thanks to all.

We have visited The Bosville Arms many times for Sunday lunch and always had a good experience. We have brought family and guests here and recommended it highly. However, today was not good. Having all ordered the beef we were then told there was an hour wait, so we all changed our orders. We then waited an hour for our food to arrive! The chicken was dry, the carrots could not be cut with the knife provided, all the veg was hard and there were black lumps in the mash. Whilst this is disappointing what really lets it down is the attitude of the staff. The young person taking the money just shrugged and said sorry. When the waitress came to the table to take the plates I explained again, she looked incredibly bored, eventually huffed and said 'oh, I'll tell the chef', then gave the sneeriest tight lipped pseudo sarcastic smile. To say they weren't interested is an understatement. We will certainly have to think more than twice before eating here, again. What a shame.

The 2nd time we have visited the Bosville Arms and was as great today as it was our previous visit With my partner being coeliac, finding the vast majority of the menu offering gluten free options was amazing! GF fish and chips was very tasty, fish more like a whale with tasty home made chips and mushy peas and home made tartare sauce! I had the the pie, filled with huge chunks of beef and on very tasty pastry with mashed potato and seasonal veg with delicious home made gravy! Will definitely visit again when passing through to visit family in Bridlington. If we lived local we would certainly be in here every week!

We had small Sunday lunch 2 Sundays on the trot. Plenty to eat The beef could do with cooking more my husband doesn’t like it pink. The chicken was very good.

I have just spent 2 nights at The Bosville Arms and would have no hesitation in recommending it. Sara and her team do a fantastic job in making you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.

We had a really nice stay here. The rooms are clean and functional, and the staff are really welcoming and helpful. They serve a great pint of Timothy Taylor too 😉 Would recommend to anyone looking for a clean and simple place to stay

The Bosville Arms were outstanding in hosting my mum's wake last week. At a really tough time Sara dealt with everything; she was a kind, attentive and compassionate host. She opened the pub a little early to offer coffee/tea before the church service as some of our party had travelled 100 plus miles. I left various photos of my mum and a beautiful display was made next to the buffet area. The buffet was top class, home made and presented beautifully. Everything ran to time including a toast to mum. Some of our party stayed into the early evening and given that it was a busy Friday we felt at ease and not under any obligation to leave by a certain time. All the team were so helpful and kind. Thank you for making our friends and neighbours so welcome; mum would have loved it!

Stayed overnight here…this is a community run pub, the manager Sara was so helpful…we had a wonderful dinner on arrival with traditional beers on tap, the staff were lovely and friendly, our room was a ground floor room , cosy and warm and immaculate , tea and coffee making facilities too…the bed was very comfortable…breakfast the next day was a choice of cereals, tea and coffee, warm croissants, excellent full English with toast, highly recommend a stay here if in the area

Had an amazing b&b stay at Bosville. Helpful, friendly staff, huge portions of superbly cooked food; we had fish and chips & gammon and chips cooked to perfection plus I can highly recommend the berries and vanilla cheesecake and apple crumble! The food was so good that we went back later in the afternoon for lunch before heading home! Our room was lovely, cosy and warm with complimentary tea/coffee/hot choc & biccies. Despite the wind and rain howling around Yorkshire last night, we slept really well in a warm, comfy bed. Breakfast was cooked to individual preference using locally sourced produce and was absolutely delicious! We have just arrived back home and are already planning when we can go back for another stay! Thanks to all of the staff who made our stay so special ❤️

Good choice on menu. Best fish batter ever!! Would have liked some bread with my prawn cocktail but would still order it again. my daughter took her pudding home for later as the fish was very big but she couldn’t resist a pud snd the lovely waitress made a brilliant job of packaging a take home one for her. Nothing was too much trouble. Was lovely to come into a proper pub with people enjoying themselves . Everyone friendly, food great, and everyone working were lovely. We will be back

Lovely little country pub great food and the younger members are staff did a great job, the older woman behind the bar with short grey hair was rude and abrupt, she spoke to us and some other customers in a way that was simply disgusting, she also treated the younger staff in a manner that I’m surprised they didn’t walk out, what a shame would have been a nice lunch otherwise, won’t be back

First time here today for a meal with family, landlord very friendly food excellent beer excellent dining area very clean and welcoming.
