Wingfield Farm in East Riding of Yorkshire

It was a turkey and tinsel and the staff couldn't have done any more for us, they were so accommodating, to the point of really trying to get us in the Christmas spirit. It was our first time doing a turkey and tinsel and it certainly won't be our last. A lovely afternoon and everyone enjoyed their food.

Nice generic carvery. Plenty of choice of vegetables, gravies and sauces.

Irene was a very nice host, very welcoming and friendly.

Was in today for breakfast. Host was Irene, such a lovely lady. Very pleasant and helpful lady. A credit to your company. Food was spot on. And the pub was clean and tidy, very welcoming. Can't fault it one bit.

Party of 6 for Christmas Day 2025 all agree food was excellent, had to ask to go to carvery and for dessert as no one seemed to be waiting on the table, when asked service was very good, as a vegetarian I ordered the vegetarian carvery. Was very disappointed to find the spouts had chopped bacon mixed in the dish so my Christmas dinner was Broccoli, carrot, mash, Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes not good at £65 per head

We visited Wingfield Farm on Christmas Day a party of five, we sat in the adult area. The table was nicely decorated with name tags, Christmas table cloth and crackers. Our starters were lovely we all chose the carvery for the main course which you could go up for once you were ready. The carvery had plenty to choose from including different types of gravy. The deserts can be eaten in or boxed up to take away, we had ours boxed up and finished the meal with coffee and a mince pie. Irene and all the staff were very attentive and jolly, this was our first visit and we will definitely be back again.

Great choice of vegetables to go with roast. Yorkshire puddings were a bit tough and food could have been warmer but ok overall.

Very friendly welcome by Irene our host. The food was good, the veggie sausages were hard but the rest was good value for the price. Give the Yorkies a miss! The world needs more Irenes

Ordered 3 carvery meals and a chicken meal. The carvery was at a great standard, lots of choice and plenty of meat. The chicken meal was also good although the steak was a bit tough. Overall extremely helpful and attentive staff even though it was extremely busy. Would definitely visit again

We visited the venue on Monday morning, to which we where greeted by Irene, who was lovely and polite. We decided to go for the all you can eat breakfast which where a good choice and had plenty of options. While eating our meal we where ask by Irene if everything was to our satisfaction which we replied yes thank. On our way out after finishing we received many thanks from the staff,that was a lovely start to what where a very busy day for myself and my partner. Thank you

Very nice carvery, cakes a massive disappointment (style over quality) sponge very dense, stodgy and bland.

Food ok but Irene is amazing just the person you want at the front of house

No vegan option at the carvery. Nothing labelled either as vegan (eg gravy) or with allergens. Veg were largely cold and either over or undercooked. While staff were courteous and helpful, they all looked miserable. It was a nice gesture to offer the meal for free for which, thanks, but I wasn't impressed and won't be returning.

I recently visited with my mum and daughter for breakfast and was greeted by the wonderful Irene, Irene was lovely and polite and helpful for our full time there, we got the unlimited breakfast buffet and the food was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to return

I had such a lovely time at Wingfield farm. Was checked on by Julia and was made very welcome. It is my go to carvery and it never fails to make a good meal. Food is great, atmosphere is great and a whole round great time.

Poor service from lady in light top no walkings accepted no signage to inform people would happily waited for a table but feel very let down

Popped in without a booking for a brekkie after this place was recommend by a friend. We were made to feel really welcome by Irene as soon as we got through the door who told us how the buffet works and let us choose a table. Brekkie was absolutely banging, plenty out, all really tasty and fresh. Really like the bacon done on a griddle so it's got a nice smokey taste without the greast of being fried. Fresh coffee was yummy too. Place is really nice and clean, can tell its well looked after. Well worth a visit for breakfast, will definitely go back

I prebooked a quite adult table but was put in a very busy area.. Was told it's Christmas there are no other tables.. Yet we noticed on arrival an through our 2hr stay quite ground level tables was available and unoccupied.. Therefore with a dislocated hip I had to manage the steps.. The carvery was very good shame it was spoiled by the staffs attitude

Popped in to find the breakfast menu had finished but was still looked after by the lady behind the bar. She made sure I was fed with whatever was left over plus toast. Very friendly staff especially Irene who made sure I had everything I needed. Been here before for carvery and it’s spot on with much more than you can eat.

Lovely festive meal with the family Wednesday 27 December 2024. Food very satisfying, the staff did their up most to make us feel very welcome. Plenty of laughs along with their excellent service. Highly recommended. Special mentions to Julia, who looked after us from start to finish and kept us entertained with her great sense of humour. Allen and Olivia for keeping us hydrated with drinks and their politeness and always ready for us for the next drink. Look forward to our next time

My husband and I come at least once a month and the food is always excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Leanne , Julia and Riannan were our service staff during our visit. All were very helpful, informative around ordering , friendly and welcoming. Will definitely recommend

We often visit here as the food is lovely and the staff are attentive. Julia stands out for us as she is always cheery and engaging and fully understanding of my autistic and adhd needs. She makes sure that she provides a personalised service and always remembers us when we come! Tonight we witnessed Julia go above and beyond her role when a pregnant woman who spoke little English entered the premises, simply asking for a certain place. Julia saw the woman was disconcerted and arranged for her to be given a lift to her requested destination, the lady was elated at this! Wow just wow! They don’t make people like Julia any more and she is such a credit to Wingfield farm!

Came in with my daughter this evening for food and i can honestly say how ignorant 3 members off your staff were stood at front waiting to be seated 1 came over looked at us did something on the computer then turned away two other members off staff came uo looked at us stood talking i said excuse me looked at me then turned away so when i shouted over that we want to be seated she replied go speak to karen .. i come in all the time and have never experienced such rude behaviour.

Irene and staff are a joy and food is excellent - regularly use To Good to Go for breakfasts and can recommend - also the atmosphere is lovely and Christmas decorations very homely - never heard a bad word said about it locally!

My granddaughter had a 5 th birthday meal and cake on Sunday 17th November and Julia your waitress was so lovely she did everything she could to make my granddaughter Myla and the rest of us very comfortable and welcome thank you Julia xxx

my fault wanted the meal to be delivered at 4pm but for some reason it gave me 12.40pm tried to contact the restaurant by phone but to no avail but it was still nice and plenty of it

half portion, no yorkshire pudding, half carton of gravy. food is lovely but your better going in yourself as the portion sizes are awful and they don't send what's advertised.

Visited for breakfast today with my husband. Good selection of items on the buffet. All hot and fresh. Very friendly breakfast host Irene. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Very good value and we got nhs discount aswell. Hot drinks included with breakfast.
