We were walking from Ilkley to Addingham when my dear hubby took a wrong turn 🙁 silver lining we came across this lovely cafe/ restaurant which saved me from straggling him ! We had homemade lasagna and a flatbread with chicken and salad - absolutely lovely. We sat outside which was great but did go inside to find a beautifully cosy dining room. The staff were lovely and attentive . We will certainly be back now we have found such a gem.

We went for lunch and ordered a jacket potato with baked beans, jacket potato with tuna mayo and a children's sausage roll with beans. When it came the sausage roll had been microwaved and was soggy this was not edible as it was also tough. The jacket potato with beans was really dry and I could not eat it, they were supposed to be served with a salad garnish and coleslaw which was so small it wasn't worth putting on the plate and the presentation was terrible. When I complained the attitude of the manager was disgraceful she did not know what was wrong and never has complaints. Bit of advice for her maybe listen to what your customers are telling you. I would definitely not recommend this place at all worst lunch I have ever had and the Manager would only refund the children's sausage roll. Overall very disappointing and attitude of staff bad.

Very disappointing food prices for quantity, ordered large fish and chips for £18+, I honestly dread to imaging what the small fish and chips look like, had bigger and better quality and servings in a Wetherspoon which is dismal. Massively OVER PRICED food. POOR Servings. The only thing good about this place is location and its beer. Sad fact of the matter is, they don’t care because they know the tourists will keep them funded no matter how cra* their servings are.

We came in on Easter Sunday for dinner at 6, we brought our two dogs with a reservation for 4 and it did not disappoint! Everyone was happy despite certain food requirements and dishes being changed they managed to cater to our needs. We can not recommend enough and would like to mention fin who took our food order and brought our meals, he was very funny and talkative and made sure we were happy with what we ordered. We all left very happy and will be coming again. Thank you x

Very disappointed. The mozzarella sticks were not homemade neither were the accompanying sauces. So easy to make these fresh too and really would expect this from an Italian restaurant. The pizza bases lacked in a pinch of salt. Pasta was ok but could have been so much nicer.

We were staying at the campsite round the corner and popped in here for a drink on Friday night. We got chatting to the current owner and asked to book a table for the Saturday evening. We turned up on Saturday and were seated. The menu is written on a big board on the wall and all reasonably priced. They have a varied menu and cater for all tastes. We both ordered the slow cooked brisket and a couple of glasses of wine. The food was really great and there was loads of it. We had been here before (the year before) when it was under different management which is why some of the earlier reviews aren't great. We would definitely be coming here again, it's quieter than the other 2 pubs in the village.

I have been a frequent visitor to this restaurant over many years, always drawn back by the consistently high quality of food and attentive service. Unfortunately, my recent visit on Sunday left much to be desired and was not reflective of the standards I have come to expect. Despite the restaurant being relatively quiet for a Sunday, the staff were noticeably inattentive. While the service itself was fast, it became evident that this may have contributed to the decline in food quality, as the meals appeared hastily assembled. The vegetables served were visibly frozen and cubed, a stark contrast to the fresh, rough-cut selection we had enjoyed previously. The roast potatoes also appeared frozen, lacking the crispness and flavour of freshly prepared ones. The mash was clearly pre-made and reheated, bearing none of the creamy texture associated with freshly made mash. While the Yorkshire puddings seemed freshly prepared, three of the four at our table found them excessively greasy. Additionally, two of our guests chose the pork specifically for its advertised crackling, only to be served without it. When we enquired, the waiter seemed irritated and unhelpful. After an extended wait, he returned with pork scratchings from a packet, which felt both disappointing and unacceptable. An honest acknowledgment of the lack of crackling would have been far more appropriate. This lack of care in the quality of food being served was made apparent and really set the tone of the standards you appear to now be holding. The challenges continued when we requested the bill. After waiting a considerable time to catch someone’s attention, we then had to wait over 30 minutes for a card machine. Despite its visible presence and staff frequently passing our table, it was ignored until we asked multiple times. It is disheartening to witness such a decline in both food quality and service. Having enjoyed so many positive experiences here in the past, this visit has left me reluctant to return anytime soon. Conversations with friends and family who have also dined here recently suggest that our experience is not an isolated one, with many sharing similar disappointments. I sincerely hope that the restaurant addresses these issues and returns to the high standards that made it a favourite choice for so long. Should I hear of improvements in the future, I may consider giving it another chance. Until then, I will be cautious in recommending it to others.
