We have not been here for a long time, even though we live in skipton me and my parner got fish and chips each and a tub of gravy and a cold drink absolutely scrumptious fish perfect and delicious crunchy batter, chips just as good sat round the corner on a bench lovely.... Fish freshly fried for each customer Very very friendly polite family who own it and run it. Best chip shop in skipton. Defo be back soon. Thanks guys 💕 Lisa and phil x

Expensive but nice food, lady serving needs to improve custom relatiins, gentleman cooking was helpful, but as soon as you walk through door pounced on to see if you want fish, but when I asked for b battered sausage (for dogs) I got a short lecture as I hadn't ordered one, didn't know I had to, then when she got order wrong made to feel it was my fault, plus very expensive, can get same food with the a drink in most pubs

I have been going weekly for over 2 years after moving to Skipton and the quality of food is very high. By far the best fish and chips within a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Skipton.

This is now my favourite local chippy, I go regularly and have not been dissapointed. I like the fact that you are asked if fish required and if so it is fried fresh from your request. The staff are professional and friendly, it's a thumbs up from me.

£5.20 for a portion of chips that was barely enough for one, bad service as local customers were prioritised - didn’t even ask if we wanted salt and vinegar! Fish was put in with the sausage - didn’t ask if we had any allergies or wanted them separate. Terrible service and a rip off.

Wow what quality food and service. Food was cooked fresh and worth the wait in the long Q of locals.. fish sandwich was to die for👌

Haven’t visited this fish and chips shop on a regular basis but when we have been the food has been good served with a smile. This evening we had fish and chips and a fish with a scone. I can honestly say these were some of the poorest fish and chips I have ever tasted. They were so fatty I coujd not prise them from the grease proof paper and the fish was thin and completely tasteless. The chips were acceptable - at £8.10 for fish and chips it was a complete waste of money

Whilst in Skipton, we were recommended to try this place as we were told all the locals use it. We did try it and was very pleased indeed by the quality of the fish & chips. We got them open as there are some seats about 50yds away in a small garden area where we sat and enjoyed them. I can definitely recommend a short walk from the high street to try here if your visiting Skipton. The fish shop is just passed the Wetherspoons pub on the same side of the road.

I have bought fish and chips here for some time. Normally good. Today the fish smelled ‘Old’ and the normal large flakes of fish were fibrous and tasteless.

Visited again, but they were not as good this time, slightly overcooked fish. However the piece of fish was a thick piece and the chips were lovely. Strange way of handling cash......using a plastic tub, for customer to deposit in, but then instantly moving it by hand from this tub to the till?

I take my son here every week after school, we love it. The food, the price and especially the staff are unmatched in Skipton. Every time we go it’s busy with regulars which is always a good sign. The food has never been anything but great every time and the owners are really friendly. Don’t go elsewhere if you’re looking for quality food and service in Skipton 😁

Me and my partner use this fish and chip shop regularly. Got them on saturday 9th jan, wow what a portion the fish was huge cooked to order and plenty of chips and lovely thick gravy all cooked to perfection, crispy delicious fish 😁 best chip shop in skipton by far. Thanks guys 😘

Ordered 4 fish and 3 chips. 1 portion of fish and chips was £6.40. Served quickly and they were very hot. Great batter and chips and will return when next in the area

Fish and chips served with a smile. All orders are done when you enter and is worth the wait as nothing is over fried or dried out. If you don't want to wait, you can pre-order and it will be waiting for you. This is a family run business and because of this they have been able to remain open, through these difficult times when others had to close. They adhere with Covid-19 guidelines making you feel completely safe whilst there. 10 out of 10.

Nothing special about this place. Very quiet at 5 on Friday makes you apprehensive. No one in. Chips overcooked. Not the biggest portion. Not cheap either. Try other s in Skipton. Better stuff and not as dear

Lovely battered sausage and chips, friendly service, not open very long hours only 16:00-19:00 everyday! It’s cash only and if you want a big order ie more than 2 sausages or fish then call to order beforehand.

Got fish and chips today and 2 chips 2 teacakes, sausage and gravy...rang the order through, no trouble at all, all freshly cooked, piping hot and delicious, not our first visit, and def wont be our last. Staff very very warm and friendly. BIG recommendation.

Forget Bizzie Lizzie's, the tourist trap chippy. They are okay, but this is the best chippy in Skipton. Consistently great.

I can honestly say these are the best fish and chips I have ever had...... even my kids said how nice the fish was. Lovely thick juicy cod cooked freshly while you wait with a nice layer of crispy batter and fresh chips with beautiful thick curry sauce. No where else does fish and chips like these. I’m not a big fan of fish and chips but these are something else and I couldn’t wait to eat them as I knew we were over that way so had to have them. The staff are lovely a friendly too. Wonderful. We all left with full tummies.

We visited this month whilst staying locally for half term! The fish and chips were the best we have ever had!! Very friendly staff and owners that were very accommodating! Everything cooked fresh to order! Cannot fault! We will be back!

My brother was looking at this place longingly every time we walked by but they were either always closed or just shutting up for the night. We finally went in when they were just opening and were so pleased with the experience and the food. The owners were so friendly and accommodating. The piece of fish was enormous and very fresh, battered and cooked while we stood and chatted. They included ketchup and tartar sauce in the takeout, and the mushy peas (my first) were great! We would highly recommend this place.

I always come back here, fish fried to order, light crispy batter and great chips. Good drinks selection and fishcakes are also up to scratch.

Asked what I wanted as soon as I walked in and they were cooked immediately so I know they were freshly done and not left to keep warm until sold.
