Oakley's Grill & Pizzeria in Craven

We visited with friends gin a Saturday night. The food was good with large portion sizes and the room had a good atmosphere.

Ate here tonight and had a truly lovely meal, felt compelled to write a review. A family of 4, normally a couple of picky eaters but they loved it, tried new things and we will definitely be back! The negative reviews below surprise me as we had a lovely dining experience, the staff were attentive, really friendly and we had no issues with our meal. We had the halloumi fries, the loaded fries, the cajun prawns for starters... All of which were delicious. Followed by pizza, the mushroom and spinach fettuccine and the chorizo penne... All were lovely. Definitely don't go off the few bizarre negative reviews, so glad we decided to risk it, and took on board the other reviews from people who enjoyed their meal here. The prices I would say were about average for Skipton, the portions were massive 😂 I don't know how we ate it. What I loved, is on the kids menu were proper meals, rather than the usual nuggets, etc. Wish I had taken a pic of my lad's pizza, a proper, huge stone baked pepperoni pizza! We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Loved this place. Fabulous service from start to finish and delicious food too. I had lasagne as my main and best I’ve had for a long time. Really nice atmosphere and so welcoming. Nice bottle of Prosecco to compliment the food. Highly recommend and will def return next time we are in the area.

My dad held his special birthday party at Oakley’s and it was excellent. All set up for us (40 people) upstairs, fabulous service (a big thank you to Pete, Lydia and Maddie!) and delicious food. Great place for families or couples, we’ve done both! Pizzas clearly freshly made on site, great burgers and the steak salad is so good! Naz has been our waitress on three occasions and she is brilliant, regularly checking in, remembering snippets of conversation and even joining in with eye spy! Thanks Naz 🙂

Absolutely beautiful burgers 😋. Good quality meat and very tasty. The only constructive feedback I would give is that their cheesecake, though very nice was also very small and expensive. I expected a decent slice for £7.95!! Instead I received a round, individual bun tin sized portion, definitely not enough to share and certainly not worth that price.

I want to thank everyone who helped from start to finish with organising this surprise party on saturday. Every single member of staff made it easy...from answering my many emails, helped set a menu for everyone to choose from. Every email was met with kindness, helpfulness and lots of patience haha. You helped accommodate my allergies and made sure i didn't feel like a nuisance. The whole team from waiting staff, kitchen staff, management were incredible on the day. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so friendly and helpful. They all had a smile on their faces. I honestly couldn't fault a single thing. I would 100% recommend you all to anyone who asks. Food was amazing, staff were too. Atmosphere was great. Not one problem at all. Thankyou for all your help making a wonderful evening out with friends and family PERFECT.

Oakley’s has become our regular Friday night dinner spot. Excellent, friendly service and really tasty food. Just a very pleasant, welcoming place to be.

A hidden gem in back alley of Skipton and it did not disappoint. From arrival the staff were very welcoming and service throughout was fantastic. The food was delicious and good quality, portion sizes were big! My wife was defeated and they boxed the remaining pizza for her; she is also dairy free and they have a dairy free/ vegan cheese for her. It wasn’t on the menu we had to ask (they are missing a trick there). They also offer gluten free options and good children’s menu. I had a calzone and it was extremely good!

Just called in early doors. We ordered olives and grilled breads. Served quickly by a really friendly helpful server. We also ordered 2 pizza ( an Hawaii and a mushroom). Again served promptly after a short interval. These were perfectly cooked rustic bases. Just the right thickness, with lean fresh ham, tasty pineapple and also mushroom and cheese all put together perfectly. A great experience, we will be going again worth the 35 mile trip there. Very disappointed when I first walked in I was totally ignored the chef rang the bell at least 3 times before the waitress came down . .I should have left before that . I said I would sit outside making the most of the dry weather . I ordered a pizza and a glass of wine . Hi, we met up for a family reunion , we went to sit down had a drink and ordered our meals , the starters came which where good, but unfortunately our main meals didn't. Two of our main meals came and the other 3 meals came about 10 minutes later, this ruined our family time as we all wanted to eat together. There was also a strong smell of food in the restaurant, they didn't put the extracter fans on , so I came away with food smelling all over my clothes. I wasn't happy 😕. 54 of us attended on Sunday 16 July for our end of season football awards celebration and Oakley’s were absolutely fantastic! To bring out 45 meals in such quick time without any issues is incredible, and credit to all the team these, especially Naz who is a huge asset to Oakley’s.

Ordered over the phone for a takeaway delivery as we have ordered many times in the past and enjoyed the food. However we were incredibly disappointed and dissatisfied ok this occasion. The ‘burger meal’ arrived with 6 chips accompanying it which were undercooked and the burgers were both ridiculously dry with no flavour at all. The only good part of the order was the cheesy garlic bread but the rest was awful. Definitely not worth the hour and 45 minute wait and the almost £30 spent. Won’t be ordering again.

CHEESECAKE Last weekend I ordered a 2 tier cheesecake birthday cake for my husbands 40th birthday (plus 15 individual cheesecake shot glasses with a variety of toppings aimed at children). They were all an absolute hit, the double cheesecake was devoured, along with shots in minutes and folk even went for seconds right away. Would highly recommend oakleys cheesecake, easy enough to find on Facebook and contact made with owner was simple, she recommended which flavours might work better and happily had the order ready in time for pick up on Sat lunchtime. I will definitely use them again when staying in the area and would highly recommend this cheesecake to others, it was delicious. Thanks again so much Claire.
