Excellent, efficient and attentive service. Food was fresh and plentiful. I would heartily recommend. We hadn't booked, just found it by chance - will go back and have already spread the good word to others !

We were walking through Skipton after mooring our canal boat and were on our way to a restaurant to eat when we saw it was happy hour. We had 2 amazing cocktails and the bar staff were so friendly, that after our meal we popped back for more. Relaxing atmosphere, comfy seating, very chilled background music, not too loud so you can talk, and some lovely cocktails

Thought we’d try this out as a friend from skipton had not been before, friendly staff . Self serviced at the bar got 3 large wines , £28 pounds later . We only wanted 3 glasses not 3 bottles!

Birthday bottomless brunch 17/02 it was amazing!!! The staff were fantastic, especially the lady serving us - nothing was too much trouble, we were never without a drink. The food choice was vast and well done, and the drinks selection generous. We will be back! Thank you!

Called in for a cuppa with my husband and the dogs while on a day trip, the staff were amazing, so friendly, they fussed the dogs and gave them numerous treats. Had a cream tea which was delicious, super tasty ( and warm) scones and a cracking cup of tea. Comfy seats and a roaring fire too, what more could you want?

Been here every year for my birthday bank holiday Sunday can't believe they have changed the happy hour times ....from 12-6 to 4-6 a great bar but won't be staying as long this year

An excellent place to discover while on holiday. On. Day trip,I came across this friendly little restaurant. Ordered a pot of tea and a cream tea. A lovely warm scone,great real clotted cream,and strawberry jam. A very nice strong,hot,pot of tea and all for under ten pounds.

Perfect drinks and great food menu, especially the antipasti platters. Lovely for pre-dinner cocktails.

Lovely find off the Main Street. Nice and cosy cafe\bar. Staff were very friendly and the food was excellent, just one small negative the bread used in the toasties could have been a better quality. The cakes were delicious. Highly recommend and we now have our usual place when we visit Skipton for lunch.

VSQ has quickly become our favourite bar in Skipton! Visited with friends and shared wine and an amazing meats and cheese platter (pre-ordered) early evening on a Saturday. All the food was fresh and delicious, the staff helpful and friendly, could not fault anything, lovely experience! Special note for the presentation of the platter which was so attractive that it is currently featured on the VSQ Facebook page!

We stopped by the bar recently on our travels. On entry we were greeted by a large dog. My wife is scared of dogs so was not a great start. The bar looked a bit dated and grubby. It didn't smell fresh and needed a good airing. They had stopped doing snacks and we decided to pop back a few hours later. On our return place had closed early for the night, all in all a little odd. We won't be trying again.

Quite a nice bar - table service which is great. Seemed to take ages for someone to come and take our order. Seemed clean and tidy.

Stopped for drinks and a snack. Located just off the main street in a lovely courtyard. Sat outside with the dog . Music good, smooth radio esq. Drinks excellent, well presented and lovely glasses. Had the sharing platter. What a dish! So much variety and so fresh. More than enough for 2. Even our dog got a treat from the staff, thankyou. Take the time to visit when you next go to Skipton. Will definitely return. Thankyou for great service, a friendly welcome and delicious food.

We were in skipton for a few hours wanted a sandwich .found gsq got a table outside great music playing although a little loud. Bit slow on taking our order we ordered cheese and onion sandwiches very nice bit pricey just two rounds of bread and a few crisps!!! But it was nice glasses of fresh orange were loveley overall enjoyed but £16.90 !!! bit much x

We called to Skipton and came to V.SQ, the girls there, Becca and Kasey were absolutely lovely very dog friendly giving our friends Scottie a great and petting her.We had cheese toasties,hot chocolate and cappuccino. It's a very comfortable and the decor and music is great too!They also cater for gluten free customers.I can highly recommend coming here.Thank you!

Very disappointed to pay £6.95 for a scone that was very dry and even a bit burnt in places. Also I requested latte with my cream tea only to be told I could only have tea or Americano. Staff were very nice and polite. Just a shame about the food.

This is an eclectic venue! From the four of us there were mixed reviews. Platter for two: well presented, huge range of items, def 5*!Chorizo and cheese toastie: unfortunately had to be sent back because there was mould on the bread. Replacement came instantly and was well-received. Beans on toast: we asked for the beans and toast to be separate and joked about how they couldn’t touch, but the beans still came on the toast. We didn’t complain. Coffees: when they came the waitress confused the flat white with the decaf cappuccino. Fortunately we realised! We had a giggle at the Christmas song being played in August!! This is clearly a well-liked cafe and there are local returnees. Some of us would return and others would give it a miss.

Picked some perfect days to visit. Managed to get seats outside with the family. Cold beers and wines. Good choice of nibbles/tapas and lunch. A very trendy place to visit with friends and family.

Nice atmosphere and looked really smart. Toasties were really lovely and so were the wedges. 2 kids and 4 adults, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, all had sandwich or toasties and 2 bowls of wedges and one scone cream/ jam, just under £50, perfectly reasonable. Welcoming and friendly and I would love to visit again with just my husband and leave the rest of the family at home!

Our go to bar for chilled and relaxing drinks. Really clean and very covid secure cleanest toilets in Skipton! All staff very knowledgeable and will assist and advise on the very extensive range of gins, cocktails and beer's available. We even learnt that some staff are attending a distillery in the near future. This certainly enhances the customer experience with their knowledge, experience, advice and guidance. Regular staff really helps.

Found this delightful gin bar by chance and what an amazing find. Popped in for a yummy coffe and scone, then went back later for lunch. The food was Delicious and so well presented, finished off with the recent addition of the yummy desert board. lovely friendly staff, nice atmosphere smart surroundings. Will definitely be visiting it again. Can't recommend it enough

Lovely couple of hours in VSQ last night. Cosy friendly atmosphere. COVID regulations strictly adhered to. Lots of space between tables. Very friendly staff.

Last night of our staycation, Sunday evening. We had spotted this little gem during the week down a side alley. The atmosphere and ambiance is very special. We had eaten so our visit was purely for a night cap. The drinks menu is extensive. So much so we took a sharp intake of breath! My first cocktail for 30 months and I enjoyed every mouthful! Porn star martini. My favourite. My husband had a parma violet gin. He loved it. We sat outside enjoying the evening. The heaters were on so you would never get cold. A special thanks to our lovely waitress who was working very hard as it was quite busy but she kept smiling the whole time. Sorry I didn't get her name to give her a mention. Excellent social distancing measures in place. We felt very safe.Highly recommended.

Great place for a drink and to relax. It your not into Gin they have a good selection of beer and wines. Staff very helpful and all procedures in place to keep you safe in these uncertain times. Give a go you will not be disappointed.

Went into this establishment as it looked so nice. Went to the bar to order our drinks went to pay for them and they refused our money, was it some fancy currency?.....no was Scottish. Apparently the owner will not accept Scottish notes as he was told by the police. So if you want anything from this place I suggest you check your money before you go in as there not too discreet in telling you either.

On a Sunday, before I start work at 11am, I arrive at 10.30, for a pre-ordered breakfast of a Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Bagel & a Cappuccino , which is always ready, freshly made, and over flowing with beautiful Smoked Salmon.

The staff are so helpful really enjoyed my gin. Lovely place to sit on a summer evening. Not bad prices to.

I can’t quite work out what this place is trying to be. In the main It presents itself as a blingy gin and cocktail bar where you can buy bar snacks, yet dogs are welcome, I’m as much of a dog lover as the next person, but the two just do not gel in my opinion, and that of course is all it is, my humble opinion, but I for one don’t want to go to a bar that charges 7-9 a drink and share it with wet dog, you’re either a pricey gin establishment or you aren’t. I fully appreciate businesses wanting to get coin from all walks of customer and turning business away is detrimental. Then my advice is loose the bling and the price tag and be a dog friendly cafe. I don’t think I would go there again.

Very nice Gin bar just what skipton needs. Very nicely done out and has warm feel to it. defintely worth a visit if out drinking and you like GIN!!

Sorry as far as I’m concerned an establishment that allows dogs into the eating areas cannot expect any more than two stars. This restaurant has a plentiful outdoor area for people that insist on bringing their dogs to restaurants, there is no need to bring them to tables in the upstairs seating area, we had drinks but decided against eating as the table next to us had two slightly wet smelly and agitated dogs.

Popped in for a drink this evening with my mum, on our way out for tea. We chose the bar as we’d been before and knew it was nice. We took advantage of the 2 gin cocktails for £10. Mum had the ‘pink lady’ and I had the ‘bramble’. It was quiet but the staff were attentive, asking whether we liked our drinks more sweet or a bit more sour to make them to our taste. The staff were knowledgable and the decor is beautiful. Really enjoy going to this bar.

Very chic decor and spacious bar area. Decent drinks menu. I tried the rhubarb and custard beer - not a particularly strong flavour but still decent enough.

Service was extremely speedy, we went there for coffee in the morning and enjoyed the place so much we returned for lunch later on. The comfy sofa's were lovely !

There's mainly gin on the menu here, but there are now a few other cocktails on the menu if, like me, you're not a huge fan. Staff are helpful at finding you something you would like and seating is comfortable.

We had toasties, which were skinny but beautifully presented ... accompanied by tea and a tasty latte on some very comfortable outside seating, along with many other couples enjoying the sunny aspect of this charming little square. More charm came from the two girls who looked after us there and later on engaged my wife, to her great delight, with their local banter and chatter. I have rarely had s more pleasant afternoon break than that of my day in Victoria Square, Skipton.

Visiting Yorkshire from London we stumbled across this funky champagne and gin bar in Victoria square, skipton. It was 30 degrees so the outside seating area was perfect. Deco was modern and classy and it smelt nice. Was greeted by a really friendly local lady whose bar it was. She had an amazing selection of gin from around the world. She was very knowledgeable and we chatted about gin for a while.

Very pleasant bar with outside seating. Extensive range of gins. Run by a very knowledgable lady who tells you about the gins and recommends mixers once you’ve got down to the gin you’d like. Reasonable prices.

My family and i were simply walking past when we noticed the menu. Feeling slightly peckish we decided to sit outside enjoying our favourite pastime of people watching. The menu was great offering things from snacks up to the 'bucks fizz breakfast' which we decided to sample.

Lovely location just off the main drag in Skipton, with tables outside in the sun, ideal on a sunny afternoon. Very impressed with the knowledgeable service - they really know what they’re talking about. The gin “menu” is huge but gives enough information to enable you to make a choice, and as I say the staff are very helpful. Great decor and atmosphere inside too. A really good place to have a drink.

We were visiting Skipton and looking for somewhere to have a lazy lunch. Found this place in a small square close to the town centre and it looked pretty cool. Tables outside in the sunshine were perfect but the interior looked really nice too and somewhere to come for evening drinks for sure. Staff were very friendly too and our drinks arrived pretty quickly.

We called in for a night-cap after spending the day in and around Skipton, and the evening at the Skipton Gin Festival. This is a lovely little (Gin) bar, just off the main street, and has a great atmosphere. The additional heating made it possible for us to sit outside, even at 10:30pm in April, and enjoy our night-caps in comfortable surroundings. The bar is very popular and the staff are very efficient and knowledgeable. I can definitely recommend V SQ if you are a Gin lover. (Other spirits are served too).

Visited V.SQ 22nd April and received a lovely warm welcome. Our 2 Westies were allowed in too which was an added bonus, and we were offered dog biscuits for them. Although we didn't sample the gin the carrot cake was amazing with lovely coffee and tea too. Very friendly staff.

The staff make this place great knowledge and friendly atmosphere and they obviously love their jobs. Interesting array of Gins including lemon sherbet and palma violets although not my taste.

Over 200 gins And lots of tonics as well as any other drinks including tea! Had a great time with a group of friends. Megan taught us so much about the different gins and types of tonic. Really worth a visit If your in Skipton.

Every time I go out in Skipton i try to call in here for a couple of drinks, gorgeous cocktails and the most gins you will ever see, what I feel makes this place stand out is how knowledgeable the staff are which is lacking in most bars, they are very friendly and great at recommending a drink based on your preferences if your not sure what to have The decor is lovely too and a little quirky, theres always a nice atmosphere.

This is a comfortable and friendly well stocked gin bar in quiet a location in skipton town centre. The selection of gins is unbelievable and the staff really know their onions on the topic of gin. If it's other kinds of drinks you like then there is a great selection of beers and wines along with top quality teas and coffees. I really enjoyed my Americano, possibly the best I've been served in Skipton. We enjoyed the cool and relaxed atmosphere with a very tasteful music selection piped over the sound system. On our visit it was a quiet Thursday evening but regulars we spoke to were obviously part of a larger and loyal band of fans of the bar. Although listed under restraunts this is mostly a tasteful bar that also serves a very reasonable range of food including snacks, cakes and other tasty morsels. To find VSQ start on of Skipton Main Street heading north then immediately walk into Sheep Steet. An alleyway off to the left leads into Victoria square. VSQ is just a few yards on the left , and recognisable by the stone columns that adorn the front of the building.

We love this place! Great for an afternoon or evening drink and the staff are always happy to recommend a good gin. Lovely atmosphere and comfy seats! We've spent new year here too for the past couple of years and always had a fabulous night.

I've been going to V.SQ since it opened and they have never failed to impress. The staff behind the bar know exactly what they're talking about and are experts in shaking up creative cocktails! Whether it's for coffee and cake through the day or cocktails at night, they're always so accommodating!

Called in to this bar. Apparently it's been open for 2 years but it had passed me by. The decor and sofas are amazing and we settled in. The guys behind the bar were so knowledgeable it was amazing, and they had all the time in the world for us to help us build a bespoke gin and tonic. Can't say enough good things about this place x forget Alexander's- this is the place!!!

We called in for a cocktail for my daughter's 30th birthday, she was a bit reluctant to go in as she doesn't like gin, but was pleasantly surprised by the choice of drinks once inside, the staff made us feel welcome and talked to my daughter about the different cocktails available, asking her what drinks she liked, before recommending one for her,she choose the the recommended one and it was lovely, and as it was her birthday she got a free shot! Which made her very happy, she even tried a strawberry gin! On the whole this place is only small but very cosy with nice seating and a relaxing atmosphere.

Popped in for first time last Friday with my mother. A lovely atmosphere with a really lovely young man behind the bar who couldn't have been more helpful. They do light snacks at lunch so chose a toasted sandwich and soup both excellent value for money and very nice. They do a mini scone selection with jam and cream u get 3 mini scones really nice. A comprehensive drinks list as well. We will be back

Lovely seating, very plush and luxurious but we sat outside with our dog. Water bowl brought without us having to ask, the best coffee outside of our house and very friendly staff.

We live about 20 miles away, but whenever we are in skipton we make time to come in here. Plush surrounds, chilled out vibe, and amazing menu of gin or non-gin cocktails and drinks. Lovely service from the hip bar staff. We really shouldn't be in here as it is past the kids bedtime but they make us welcome all the same!!

Had a terrible experience here - ordered several drinks, and none of them were great. When we complained with staff we were rebuffed and told that this is what we ordered. A shame, but won't be coming again.

Spent a couple of hours here dodging showers, well worth the accidental visit. Very knowledgable and helpful bar staff, extensive list of gins, really chilled out music selection. Even told us where to buy the gin Mrs W loved from in Skipton! Well worth a visit especially if you like to experiment with new gins.

Stopped for a bite to eat and cheeky afternoon gin. Toasted teacakes were delicious and filled a gap! The selection of gins was vast, with helpful descriptions for each. The one we selected was unavailable but our server returned with three alternate one's from which to pick. Opted for Daffys and we weren't disappointed. Will definitely return.

Called in here for lunch, nicely tucked away, lively but not heaving. As I wasn't driving I decided to treat myself to a gin and tonic, what a range of gin. Bar staff were very helpful in explaining the different types of gin from the more floral to the more conventional London dry types. They also mentioned that they stocked a comprehensive range of vodka too. We had lunch which was very well presented, I chose a cheese platter which came with four different cheeses, silvers kind onions, different chutneys and crackers with butter, there were plenty crackers yet the server said if I wanted more just ask. Very very pleasant and will visit again. I have ticked below that it is not a pub, this is a bar which is a cut above a pub.

The bar tender told us they had approximately 150 different gins and I believe him, even though we didn't try them all. This is a lovely bar, very plush and cool. Lovely decor and furnishings. As with everywhere we went in the Dales the staff were lovely and friendly. Great drinks, knowledgeable staff. No more to say.

We found this bar on our first visit to Skipton on Thursday and it was perfect for us. Bar staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable.. We came in here before and after the meal that's how much we loved it. The gin range was exceptional.. We have booked a holiday cottage in Skipton for December and can't wait to return here!

Have visited VSQ a few times. It is a great place to relax with a cocktail and have a chat and a catch up with friends. The owner and staff are very friendly. Service is great and it is just a bit different. we will definitely go again.

Still here in V.Sq (named after it's location on Victoria Square in Skipton). Couldn't wait until we got home to leave a review of this place, absolutely loving it. Spending a second afternoon drinking fab gins and tasty cocktails whilst my other half explores the wide range of bottled beers on offer. Soft background music, comfy seating, tasty snacks and light bites to eat, and super friendly and knowledgeable staff. What better way to spend a wet weekend.

So good we visited twice on a 7 day break! So many gins to choose from & very knowledgeable staff. Decor is very tasteful, they're dog friendly & if you like gin you'll feel like you've died & gone to Heaven!

I have been here with friends mainly. The staff are knowledgeable and patient when they can be. when it gets busy they have to move it a bit faster! Go with the recommendations - they have not got it wrong yet!

This place is certainly a hidden gem! The prices are so cheap, and their range of gins are exceptional!! We came on a staff do and we had the best time, the staff were so lovely, we will certainly be coming back!

I work around the corner from this place and its a great place to socialise and have something a bit special to drink. Lovely décor and friendly staff that are happy to tell you more about the drinks menu. Try the rock rose gin its fantastic.

Only recently found out about this place, and what a little gem it is !

Really lovely place and atmosphere but the barman was quite rude to my friend who asked for recommendations and also poured a whole 150ml bottle of mixer into my single gin along with a glass full of ice - some of us like to taste our gin! I ended up giving it to my friend who doesn't drink gin and ordering another with the Fever Tree on the side so I could pour my own. I recommend doing this every time.

Stopped off here for a break from the shops. Very pleasant surrounding with comfy seats. Nice wine I the most lovely glasses ( always makes wine taste better) A little pricey but a very nice treat.

What a fabulous night, visited with friends who hadn't been to Vsq before. Reserved a table ryder cup showing on the tv (one for the boys in the group) great music playing. We were served different gins and host Aimee explained brilliantly the different combinations. My favourite was the brockmans my friend loved the chilli gin another friend loved the gins with rosemary and thyme. Great experience. Great night. Great service can't wait for our next visit to Skipton.

I went to V.Sq with my family for a drink after a meal to celebrate our holiday the following day. I opted for a pornstar martini, which was simply described on the menu as "a very naughty night indeed". I expected to be served a classic cocktail the same, if not one similar, to others I have had previously. After watching the cocktail being made from a bottle of juice and vodka, I didn't have high hopes. However, they then proceeded to squirt a strange froth on top and then topped it with what looked like small white sweets.

This bar is a modern bar selling an extensive range of gins. The bar staff- especially Tom are extremely knowledgeable about the gins and how best to drink them. My friend and I went to an evening hosted by Brockman's gin which was an amazing few hours. It is lovely to see a bar like this in Skipton, the drinks are not cheap, but you get what you pay for including the lovely ambience around you.
