Nice location, although on busy road. Friendly staff. Good service, nice atmosphere. A bit pricey for what we received. Meat chewy. Soup was nice.

Disappointing to be honest, only one cask ale on, WhatPub says five? Average Timothy Taylor on, didn't make me want another so we went onto another pub.

The atmosphere of the pub was lovely and relaxed, staff were very friendly. The food was amazing, I couldn't believe the size of the portions and it was delicious, I've yet to have a Sunday roast dinner match this. Sadly it was our last night at our Airbnb, otherwise we would have gone again.

Food was good here. I should have taken a photo of my husbands burger. It was the real deal. We went to nights in a row because it was near our accommodation and I knew I get something nice even though I am gluten free. I would recommend the chicken and creamed mushroom sauce. Very hearty.

We were visiting the area and came here 3 times in the weekend. Hand Pulled Beers and wines excellent with a reasonable price. We ate on Friday and the meal was spot on. All freshly made and delicious. Highly recommend the Buttermilk Curry and the Catalan Prawns. Staff really welcoming. Also had 'Bites' menu selection and the Whitebait was as good as I have had anywhere. Only minor downside is the premises are now a little tired and in need of a refurbishment, and the fire was out of action.

What a fab gem of a place this is. Stopped in by chance for lunch when passing through up to North Yorkshire and was delighted with the fab service from the lovely barmaid, the tasty, honest pub food and a great pint of Boltmaker. Will definitely visit again.

Do not waste your time or money! Just visited for a drink and quick mid afternoon snack. Too late for lunch but too early for evening meal. Ordered and paid for drinks at the bar and asked for a menu. Wasn't told anything was off the menu. Whole page of Sandwich options which appealed and suited what we wanted. Approached the bar to order to be told "all sandwiches are off the menu" Went back to the table disappointed and had another look. We decided upon a starter of Halloumi Fries and I would just have a kids burger meal. Ordered again at the bar no problem. 30 minutes later I approached the bar to ask where our meals were...only 4 other tables in the pub. I was told its being made now. A few minutes later the wrong order arrived. I was less than impressed; my wife's diabetic and needed to eat. A half hearted apology and suggestion that that was in fact what I ordered. When I stated what i actually ordered, I was told that that wasn't in stock. We decided to cancel that meal, ate the one and left. Unfortunately never to return. We are staying in the area and could have been back tomorrow for Sunday Lunch. Think we will give it a wide birth.

Superb food and service at reasonable prices. The signature M Burger, with Marmite Mayo was a sensation! Definitely recommend.

Been to the Masons four times now and never been disappointed. Called in for Sunday lunch and we were completely happy and satisfied. Excellent roast beef dinner. Piping hot and very tasty. A delicious dish of greens, lovely mashed potato, yummy roast potatoes, a huge Yorkshire pudding. Lots of delicious ingredients, plus to top it off, the most amazing tasting carrots! You won’t be disappointed with this establishment. The staff were polite, friendly and extremely helpful. Hoping to get a table for NYE 🎉 Thank you! We will definitely be back.

Visited for Sunday Lunch as previous experience was good however was extremely disappointed. After waiting 50 minutes for food it arrived barely warm. The cauliflower cheese which I paid extra for was in a bowl of what I can only describe as white water the cauliflower itself was small loose florets so either old or frozen. The glazed carrots were soaked in sweetness not glazed absolutely awful. The roast potatoes- well I'm not really sure how to describe them possibly been cooked the day before and warmed up. I did tell the young girl when she came to ask how the food was. After finishing I paid the full bill and left I was so over the experience. I do not recommend this dinner at £16 with an extra £4 for cauliflower.

Best pub in Ingleton (in my opinion) nice food and a choice of beers.

We were passing through at the end of our trip on a Monday we called ahead and they were super accommodating. They were busy but the 2 front of house staff were fabulous and managed it so well. The meals were HUGE! And not only were they big but tasty too! Starters are not required here you will be well fed! Highly recommended! Thank you for a great meal!

Last visited 2 years ago, boy oh boy what a difference, booked well in advance and 5 of us were looking forward to a Sunday roast. On arrival told only option was lamb, not lamb roast though as lamb was lifted from another dish and served with some cabbage and a Yorkshire pudding. Two of our party don’t eat lamb so they left to eat elsewhere, I wish we had joined them. To be fair the lamb and mash were ok gravy was quite nice, “roast potatoes “ were disgusting so went back to the “chef”, we were asked what was wrong with them and they were hard and tasted so bland only to be told they were cooked fresh and not frozen! , service was slow which was hard to fathom as there were plenty of empty tables, we can see why now. I understand that sometimes food sells out, but they don’t do walk ins so no excuses for pre booked tables, shocking, it’s bad when you can’t get a Sunday roast in Yorkshire.

Excellent pub indeed. Dog friendly and very welcoming. Very good quality ale. Very handy car park. Another great little place to stop by.

After a walk around the falls we headed here for a pub meal. Absolutely beautiful food. The most random lasagne I've had had which turned into the best. It will be well worth the 2 & half hr drive for the food again. Friendly staff. Lovely place.

Stayed here on an overnight exploring Yorkshire Dales. On arrival announced ourselves as no-one at bar we were greeted with "we are here...just wait". Taken to room up a very tight staircase, advised we could use the fridge outside the room & then left to it without a key for the room. Room lovely & bed comfy, fan provided great as it was warm. I love traffic noise but for anyone who doesn't...this place is on a MAJOR main road with trucks passing at all hours. We put water we had bought in the fridge & discovered the following morning it had been stolen! Advised the male host on departure & he didn't seem bothered. Nice place but customer service & security lacking

Popped in for a drink to find an order for 2 drinks was near £18!! When we looked at the bill we saw the coke in the vodka and coke was £3. I wasn’t made aware the pump for a dash of coke wasn’t working or the price difference! Would have ordered something else if made fully aware!!

Great stop off for a fantastic traditional Sunday roast

Took well over an hour to get our meals. Sounded like a right commotion from the kitchen. Food was very good. Excellent Ropemaker ale.

Second time visiting since the pub last changed hands, and again happy to say we enjoyed our visit. We'd booked our table online and noted that we'd have a dog with us. On arriving, it was busy around the bar but we quickly found the reservation marker on our table and settled down, before being greeted and our drinks order taken. Nice to see Beavertown Neck Oil on draught, as that's always a favourite. We both ordered the Yorkshire pudding dippers to start, followed by inside out chicken kiev and steak fajitas from the specials board. All food was tasty and fresh, we'll definitely be back next time we visit the area. Sorry to see a few tables reserved that no-one turned up for. A few small groups turned up and left after all tables were reserved, and we realised some reservations were still down over an hour after the reservation time, so there would have been space for those groups had the reservations been monitored. Hope this is sorted soon as we want the pub to do well!

Food was great but took too long to come

We had spent the day travelling in the rain and pitched up at a little farm campsite for which this was the nearest pub. Being Sunday we had hoped for a tasty roast dinner, but on arrival we were told that there were no tables available inside and no Sunday roasts left. We were offered a table in the drafty conservatory and given a reduced menu from which to choose. Because we were cold and hungry we sat down and had a drink whilst waiting for an inside table to become available. Eventually we were offered a table inside and we ordered and received our meal. There was nothing to dislike about the food, it was very standard pub grub. The best bit was that it was dog friendly, so our damp poodle was also welcome, thanks.

Although it was a very busy Friday night the food and service was very good 👍

I came in and had a drink but my main reason for writing a review is to review the toilets, they are some of the best pub toilets I have ever seen, clean and well kept I enjoyed the separate cubicles and the sink had good water pressure. The stall had a baby changing area and a bin aswell! The lighting was just right and they did smell quite good. The decor and interior design of these toilets has been well thought out overall I would say a solid 8/10 for toilets as there are a few scratches on the door and the carpet looks a little old but this is to be expected.

The food was delicious, big portions glad we didn't get starters, the staff were fantastic, friendly and efficient, they were really busy but chatted away happily while going about their work. I would definitely recommend and will be going back .

We are regular visitors to The Masons when we are visiting Stackstead Farm and staying with our school friends in one of their pods. Although it has changed hands since our last visit, the food is still very good and is still very popular with locals and visitors alike. It is nice they are dog friendly as we walk to the pub from the Caravan site, only about half a mile, and are always warmly welcomed.

Loves it, beautiful place, friendly staff and lovely meals. Will definitely go back on our next trip

Good food but a long wait for it ,40mins+ and the place was pretty empty I had the lasagna and my wife had a vegan meal with rice and bread which she said was flavourless, no desert as we had been there too long.

If your near Ingleton on the A65 don't pass this establishment!!, your missing the greatest food. The steak and Stout pie is to die for and staff are friendly.Will certainly vist again.

A little disappointing after reading the reviews and taking a chance on a new local eatery to be quite disappointed with the quality of the food. The chicken burger was an extremely thin piece of breaded chicken that was over cooked and burnt at the edges, chips, bun and fresh salad was of good quality such a shame that the chicken was such poor quality. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Fingers crossed it was just a poor choice off the menu tonight and may consider giving them the benefit of the doubt and returning in the future.

Rock hard Yorkshire puddings that shattered when you put the knife in. Potatoes that were overcooked. Waited an hour to get served. Would not recommend

Very limited food menu, didn’t eat here. Beer was okay. Ignore any photos of menus from pre-2023 as they are totally out of date.

Called in for a couple of pints around 6pm last week and the previous week no issues, sat outside in the sun. We got hungry around half 6 and after looking inside there was several empty tables and quiet so thought we’d ask. We asked for some food and the response was sorry we only take advanced table bookings only and no walk in people. The place was half empty! There was a table in glass room stacked full of empty plates and drinks and it was left for over 2 hours and and still there when we left. Called in this week too, 10 tables empty several reserved with names and times but half of the folk hadn’t turned up. Asked for food again and same response. No walk in people only booking only! This pub used to packed every night of the week tables rammed with food eaters and people drinking, it was very popular with locals How does a business carry on when you keep turning customers down and their money! It’s bonkers

Pie day on Wednesday. Literally the best chicken pie I've had. Literally the best stick toffee I've ever had. Came just as the kitchen was shutting and they served us. Server was friendly and fast. Good beers. Good price. 10/10

The pub is very nice and the staff were very friendly and polite. The front of house staff including the two young girls worked extremely hard. There is an extensive menu but only two main dishes for vegetarians. I ordered the Falafel burger and it was very dry, this needs to be changed by the chef who I doubt has actually eaten it. The only other option was a sweet potato and lentil dhal which I did not want although I wish I had ordered this. My husband ordered the beef burger which was quite greasy. Although our experience was not that positive I would revisit the restaurant if in the area but I would choose a different dish from the menu. Hopefully there will be more vegetarian options next time.

I stayed for 3 nights and ate there on the 1st night for convenience, I chose to eat there on the subsequent nights. I had a very adequate room with en-suite, that was very light and clean. The atmosphere in the pub itself was, well put it this way, if I lived around there I'd make it my local. ALL of the staff made me feel welcome, in short I would highly recommend this place to stay, eat and drink, don't be fooled by the menu it looks like it's pub grub but believe me it's way better than that. 5 star

Great little menu efficient service and food tasted fantastic. Had whitebait to start and the pie for main both delicious, so good I forgot to take a photo I tucked straight in.

Had the burger and the coleslaw is like nothing I'd had before. Might as well of just put a full jar of mayo on the side. I don't even know what was in the onion rings because It definitely wasn't what I was expecting. The fries that came with it, I could have cooked better in the microwave. I could comment on everything about the place, but I don't have the time. If you want rubbish quality stale food, get yourself there by my recommendation.

Family were celebrating a 60th birthday. The staff were all amazing.. So polite and helpful and special requests were accindated to make the day really special. Food and atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommended xxx

Unfortunately the pie and mash I ordered was pie and lumpy mash ! R kids burger had no sauce either ! The steak pudding looked like a stomach .

We have been coming to the Masons Arms over many years as we have had a caravan at Kirkby Lonsdale for over 40 years and have seen the pub ran by numerous owners but never have we experienced anything like we did this Saturday 18/03/23. We had invited family up who had travelled a long way to get to us so as a treat we booked a table at the masons for 7:45pm. We arrived unfortunately just before 8pm which although late we didn’t think to much of it as it was just over 10 minutes late. When we said we had booked a table the member of staff just told us the table is there but we probably won’t be able to eat so I reminded her we where only just over 10 minutes late so she decided to correct me and said, “well actually you are 15 minutes late”. So she went to enquire about this and came back and said we couldn’t eat now we were too late. Now correct me if I’m wrong if we had arrived dead on 7:45pm we would have probably spent 5 minutes getting seated, then we would have been asked if we would like drinks so would have waited for them then at this point handed menus to look through then eventually asked for our order which I’m guessing would have taken at least 20 minutes maybe more taking us way after 8pm So why were we so rudely sent on our way ?? Was a bit embarrassing as we had recommended them highly to the our family who was with us and this happened. Very unprofessional really we could have at least been given the option if we order immediately we would be ok or at least warmed when booking that would have to be absolutely on time but none of this happened so they lost the custom of all four of us. Needless to say none of us will be returning to the masons arms after this experience.

Great stop off for a great choice menu. Chose the chicken curry daily special and wasn't disappointed lovey and fresh. Friendly local free pub loved it xx

Popped in on a whim after a busy walk, perfect from start to finish. Our server, Hope, was brilliant. On arrival the team managed to get us a table without a booking, and we were seated just near to the fire, bliss. Home made food was amazing, Suet pie was divine. Every member of staff was friendly and professional, even the member of staff on his break who we talked to about a lesser known card game!! Boss lady treated her team amazing, thanks all

We booked in on the 29th December and had the Thursday steaks and cooked to how we like them cooked. Steaks were delicious. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a nice table in a quiet corner, which I appreciate due to having hearing aids plus the music was kept low, and we could talk. A very pleasant meal. Thank you to all the staff, including the staff in the kitchen

truly delicious food and amazing service. We were group of 24 hungry hikers booked in for Xmas meal on a Sat night. Christine and the team were attentive, friendly and all around gold star service was provided. The menu was quite extensive to chose from which was great. With their small kitchen I'm sure it was taxing to deliver such high standard food and service, so even more admirable performance. Plenty of veg and gravy was provided, at a fantastic price of £25 which in current days is really a bargain. The quality of food did not drop and plates were left empty... some had to cancel desserts after generous portions of main course. Well done Christine and the team! Had Sunday lunch and it was brilliant. Perfectly cooked and good size portion with a good variety of vegetables, potatoes, meat and Yorkshire pud. Service excellent and lovely setting.

The atmosphere within was nice and cosy for the cold ISH weather that was around at the time but it does get warm after some time , the food was simply delightful , nice portions and definitely delicious . The service was amazing as the staff was friendly and polite . But an absolute MUST. Is the deserts , this amazing place served the best chocolate fudge cake I've ever had and this is no exaggeration. I definitely recommend this place .

Came here for dinner with a friend whilst staying in Ingleton for a weekend. I was delighted to see several vegan options on the menu - I had a beetroot Wellington and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were exceptionally friendly and there were some good beers on tap. Lovely atmosphere in the pub too.

A well balanced family theme park with different zones featuring themed rides/activities. This time of year also sees the return of the Halloween special festivities including the very well managed haunted house featuring some well committed scare actors to add that extra flare. Overall everything in working order and prices all around industry and service expectations.

Arrived late at night called them for a quick take away. No problem food was amazing. Followed it up with a dinner in the restaurant the next night. Both our dogs came along and sat under the table. Very busy on Friday night so book to avoid disappointment
