Very sweet sugary ice cream. Good quality ish, limited selection of flavours. Was only 1 staff member working the entire day clearly overworked and thus overwhelmed. Hygiene of shop was pretty good aside from the fact the ice cream scoop was plunged into dirty milky ice cream water to “clean” it. The thought of customers and myself seeing that really put me off and made me feel sick, especially with that dirty residue dripping onto ice creams. Food hygiene standards need to be improved but aside from that a decent ice cream shop.

Freindly staff, a variety of Ice Cream and Sorbet, drinks being sold and toppings the option of pot or cone. Great place!

We visited here 2 weeks ago we bought a smarties ice cream with a sugar cone and a strawberry ice cream with a sugar cone both were delicious!! Staff extremely friendly we will definitely return on our next visit to skipton

This little place was a great way to finish up a day trip to Skipton for the kids. How can you go wrong with ice cream and kids. A girl on a nearby table had a waffle that looked great. Could do with a baby change. But coped ok thanks to helpful staff.

Right next to the canal and pie restaurant. After eating at the pie restaurant, this had to be our desert. Was not disappointed. Amazing ice cream and plenty of flavours. Just the thing for a very hot day. Reasonable prices too.

The server was really nice and served me and my partner with a smile. I have gone in a couple of times and it is always great service. She's well mannered and I will definitely be going back!

We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon in Skipton for ice cream and were delighted by the quick, friendly service as well as the massive scoops of ice creams! The rum n raisin is the best I’ve ever tasted!

I got an Americano to enjoy on the canal bank as I waited for my boat trip, and it was a treat. Just a pound, and served by a lovely, friendly chap. Next time I'll be indulging in some of the delicious ice cream on offer too!

I have visited several times when in Skipton as they have the best choice of ice cream flavours and the ice cream helping is generous and good value for money. The weekend person is very friendly and pleasant.

My partner and myself called in last week for an ice cream. When we spotted pistachio flavour we were very excited. We visit Wales on a regular basis and always find time to visit Glaslyn Ices at Beddgelert for their amazing pistachio ice cream. Unfortunately Fat Boys pistachio was a huge let down. We couldnt detect any pistachio flavour at all in our ice creams! The only taste we detected was an overpowering almondy marzipan type flavour. A real shame! The pistachio ice cream should never be classed as pistachio flavour! Almond or marzipan would be the correct flavour name. Will call again and try another flavour and just hope it tastes as advertised!

We sampled this lovely creamy ice cream and we were not disappointed, plenty of choice as well. The gentleman who served us was very pleasant and chatty.

My husband spotted fat boys as we driving up the side street next to Bizzy Lizzy's chippy. As we had had a very disappointing ice cream earlier in the day we thought we would try it out. Best idea of the day, the gentleman serving gave me a sample saying I should try first as it was quite strong. It was full of flavour and lovely and creamy. I opted for the double cone with 1scoop of strawberry and 1 of maple syrup and walnut. The scoops were big (which I didn't know beforehand) and only £ 2.40 bargain. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Picture the scene. It is the first really hot day of the summer in Yorkshire. After snow a week ago, mercury is now nudging towards the mid-twenties. You have walked the canal and are in desperate need of an ice-cream. Fat Boys did the trick, the owner/server was friendly and his prices were very reasonable around £2 upwards from memory. Their flavoured cones were really moreish and the salted caramel ice-cream was good enough that I'll be coming back again for sure. All in all, very happy and I hope you will be too if you visit.

Nice little selection of normal and not so normal flavours. Loved the ginger cake, black cherry and Malteser. Mint choc chip quite dentisty. Friendly. A good ice cream.

I have visited this ice cream shop on many occasions during summer and the ice cream is just wicked. Really nice texture & flavour with a good selection of cone sizes. Prices are reasonable. Yes you pay more than the local ice cream van which parks on the high street. However the quality is superior here so well worth it.

Some novel flavours made and served by Hetty. Of the three we tried, we have rarely, if ever, tasted any better. Hetty's enthusiasm for her ice cream and her willingness to tell us about the goodies used for the flavourings made it a very enjoyable experience, both when choosing our ice creams and eating them afterwards.

Called in here for crepes as advertised but unfortunately stopped doing them. Kids decided to have an ice cream and a crunchie shake instead and both said they were delicious. Good selection of ice cream all home made all looked delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Had a Bubblegum and Nutella Medium Ice Cream and both flavours were really good. The price is bad either for what you get so I was really happy with it today. Great place to buy ice cream I. skipton and the owners are very friendly. I just hope they find the 20p that fell under the counter when it fell from my hands

Was really looking forward to trying the ice cream here but was very disappointed. Had the candy floss, which was green with mini marshmallows. I am a real fan of ice cream and have tasted far better.

Not being far from the canal, we bought lovely ice creams which we took and then watched the world go by by the canal. Some great flavour choices but strawberry is to be recommended! Very creamy and the flavour was amazing. Great service too.

This place does THE BEST flavours in town sooooo good! The Turkish Delight with a scoop of Nutella ice cream added may cause a borderline orgasmic taste experience. If you don't equal an adventurous type they've always when I've been in had a Vanilla or Chocolate option but honestly if you go in just ask for the best flavours they have that day. Divine! Plus be a devil an add a flake you only live once.

The young people who work there deserve loads of credit. They are always smiling and are great with young kids.

Not your run of the mill ice cream, very adventurous flavors and wonderful staff. Could do with having at least some conventional flavors though!

I visited Skipton with my husband on Sunday and we decided to treat ourselves yo an ice cream, the girl working behind the counter was really friendly and smiled and laughed with everyone in the shop, she didn't get stressed with the large queue that was forming (despite the till being on the blink too). She allowed me to taste one of the ice creams as I couldn't decide (I can recommend the Apple crumble ice cream!) even though she was so busy we didn't feel rushed yet she dealt with each order really swiftly. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to skipton!

We stopped by to have some ice cream only to realize they sell coffee as well. From a vast range of flavours on offer we chose chocolate, vanilla, chocolate mint and coconut ice creams-all simply scrumptious. On top of that we got delicious freshly ground coffee (latte) at surprisingly good price (1.75). Lovely ice cream and coffee, good value for money and friendly staff really make this shop worth stopping by.

A well balanced range of smooth, very tasty, fantastic ice cream. Spoilt for choice. Shame they don't sell it in buckets!

A huge range of flavours here, and impressed to see the owner busy making the ice cream right there, literally from scratch, he was smashing up snickers bars for the snickers ice cream. Its really well priced fir the quality, & the coffees pretty good too.

When in for three ice creams which could have been five as we bumped into friends outside! The door was unlocked and the sign said OPEN there was no one in the shop at first a lad came down the stairs, saying he was closed! I explaned we wanted three ice creams, he looked at me blankly and opened the door.... I'm also a small business owner in the town, if it was my company I would have taken the business... Poor show won't be back.

What a great place this is. The owner could not be more helpful to a mother struggling with a toddler covered in ice cream!

We called in with friends and enjoyed a warm welcome with some tasty ice creams. Water was offered for the dog before we requested it. The coffee was good to. Recommended!

We called in at Fat Boys after spending a wet day in Skipton. As I'm not able to eat dairy I was delighted to find they did sorbets as well. I was even more delighted to find that a tub of mango sorbet was only going to set me back £1.70 and that all the extra toppings and sauces were free!
