The best restaurants in Hoyland Milton Barnsley Yorkshire and The Humber

A genuine local community pub. Great service, friendly cosy atmosphere. Only drawback is, no cask ales; but despite the name that seems to be the norm with Craft Union pubs.

We visited The Tavern for an evening meal for a large group. The staff were amazing with such a big order and were very friendly and accommodating. They were very dog friendly and had some really good gluten free options (steak pie to name one which was delicious). Due to the large table and our food taking a bit longer than the average order, (understandably with a table of 15) we were given Prosecco on the house for the group to celebrate a members birthday which was an extra special touch that was much appreciated. A great atmosphere and we highly recommend!

Breakfast was well worth the money, service good, i enjoyed the experience, will return and recommend

My first time visiting this pub today, I called here for quick drink, whilst on a walk with my dog. Really nice welcome, lovely staff, nice atmosphere. Would definitely like to come back sometime for food. Overall really nice pub.

Not the best food I've had from Galaxy, Pitta was hard, kebab meat was dry and looked like it had been microwaved, salad consisted of 1 small slice of cucumber, small piece of tomato n shredded cabbage, no lettuce. The chicken tikka in pitta wasn't much better. Tasteless coating on the chicken. pitta hard. The only good part was a separate side salad dish ordered instead of salad on the chicken pitta. Not nice at all. Ended up throwing it away. Very poor value and waste of money

Went for lunch yesterday with family excellent service bar staff and waitress brilliant food excellent great value for money

An excellent takeaway of crispy beef, Singapore rice and mixed Sweet & Sour. Fresh and not greasy, complimentary prawn crackers. Prompt service for collection.

Good pizza and quick service. Could have done with a bench or something outside as somewhere to eat it 🙂

Fabulous breakfast which was really tasty. Able to bring my dog in which is a real winner. Ladies all very friendly

Very very rude and foul mouthed people! They forgot items in my order and when I called to tell them they told me to F#€k off and put the phone down on me! I tried to call them back thinking it must be a mistake but they just continued to give me abuse saying I’m wrong and telling me to go F#€k myself! Food was cold and low quality anyway and we were all ill for a few days after eating it. I wouldn’t feed this food to the rats! Avoid

The food here is amazing! It’s a as authentic as it gets.

Unlucky to the person that ordered their food around now. Delivery drivers sat having a cig with your food sat on her passenger seat outside the takeaway
