Galaxy Food Bar in Barnsley

Not the best food I've had from Galaxy, Pitta was hard, kebab meat was dry and looked like it had been microwaved, salad consisted of 1 small slice of cucumber, small piece of tomato n shredded cabbage, no lettuce. The chicken tikka in pitta wasn't much better. Tasteless coating on the chicken. pitta hard. The only good part was a separate side salad dish ordered instead of salad on the chicken pitta. Not nice at all. Ended up throwing it away. Very poor value and waste of money

Absolutely terrible. All meat tasted cheap. £30 of food in the bin

We will order from here again as the food is usually great! But on this occasion, two of the pizzas were very overcooked (burnt underneath) unfortunately. Everything else was lovely though

Food is great, but it had to be reheated as it was luke warm when delivered

the food arrived 30 minutes late and was cold, which is a shame because it would have been very nice if it had been delivered as promised . However, cold food is not enjoyable and did not get eaten.

I bought a large mixed kebab. It was very bland . The garlic sauce did not taste of garlic.

Absolutely furming orderd from here tonight and the food must had been under-cooked cos since eating this my 5 yr old and 7 yr old as done nothing but spew I asked u to make sure it was all cooked im not happy at all start and look at your notes!!!!

unfortunately the order wasn't as we requested, and came without any sauce, salad or cheese despite these items being on both the order and the receipt.

Pizza and garlic bread well done and chips soggy and limp ordered twice on Thursdays both times the same any other night spot on must remember not to order on Thursdays

Food arrived cold and due to the food we ordered was unable to reheat this.

Tandoori was nice, the chicken wrap was poorly made with 3 thin strips of chicken in a huge wrap. The kebab meat was a decent amount on a small nan bread but arrived cold so had to re heat.

only dislike was the chips, tasted as though they had been warmed up in microwave not crispy at all my burger was great and missus pizza was spot on piping hot

Bhajis abd pakoras rock hard like they’ve been microwavesd. Couldn’t eat them

It was a phone order, me and my son had a mixed kebab, and a lamb vinda but made a bit spicy (tinderloo) level... absolutely fantastic guys!!!

Was the worst food I have ever had from there normally nice the burger absolutely stunk foul and tasted exactly like it smelt with didn't get eaten the salad on the burger and kebab was sour and also smelt bad,,not you're usual galaxy takeaway

Walked for miles because it was one of the few shops showing as “open” but it was totally closed. Update your opening hours!

Do yourself a favor and cook yourself a meal at home. Me and my partner have a takeaway as a monthly treat. Tonight we ordered. My partner got a meat feast pizza, a chicken kebab and I got a meat feast calzone with mushrooms. My partners food was fine. My calzone on the other hand was not, its was only half cooked. The last thing you want to find on your calzone is raw dough, not only that as stated I asked for mushrooms(paid exta) and yet I didn't find any. My partner called the takeaway and we got asked "How long have you had the order" like that makes a difference raw dough is raw dough. They said they would send another one out but I've definitely been put off calzones for a while. My partner explained that I didn't want another and they told us there was nothing they could do. £9.30 gone down the drain like that. Will not be ordering again and will be warning all my friends and family to stay away.

Made an order, I was very clear, asked him to repeat it...still came wrong!...both kebabs were very very small, wouldn't like to think what would come if I ordered small...when we ordered large...it took an hour & a half to come...id steer clear, won't be ordering again!!!...feel sorry for delivery bloke, he's only good thing to come out of the place

Donna meat, salad and chips delicious however tikka was awful n didn't touch my pitta as was soggy n wet. Shame as Donna is very nice.

All the food was nearly cold, pizza not cooked properly, southern fried chicken was like it was yesterday's warm ups so dry, takeaway was not bothered just said contact just eat where I ordered it from

When the food came half of the order was missing we tried calling the food place and no answer for 15 mins when they answerd they said they would call back then ten mins later the missing food arrived but was unfortunately cold

Very disappointed, chicken was black (also no breast meat) and had fatty stringy bits in it. Pizza was far too greasy to eat and the chips were cold. We threw it away and will not order again. Tried to call them and they said they usually use this cut of meat and no offer to do anything about it. Not up to standard.

over 2 hours for a delivery. not once but last 3 time. done with the place. gone down hill massively

it was showing that my food got delivered and it never did I ordered it and it showed that it would be ere just before 10 and it never turned up my husband as been sat waiting for it all night could I have a refund please as we never got our food

As always, the food arrived in good time and was great quality. We added a message to our order asking for the chicken pieces to be left off (as it was a set meal deal and we wouldn’t have eaten it but the price is still great without it) but they included chicken nuggets for us instead which was so sweet and thoughtful

First time we’ve tried here and first time I’ve ever wasted a take away. The chicken tikka was dry and didnt taste one bit like tikka and the wedges were tasteless. The fried chicken was over cooked and so was the chips. So disappointed such a waste of money will not be trying again

Not happy with meal this time, I ordered a special kebab which should come with a portion of chips which I didn't get, only 4 pieces of chicken which went in bin because they where overdone rock hard, only 5 pieces of lamb, I should have just ordered a normal kebab

Lovely curry had chicken tikka bhuna it was so tasty, one of the nicest I’ve had in ages. Never actually ordered Indian from here before!! So much nicer than the pizzas/kebabs. Although my boyfriend had a pizza and said it was quite nice. I also got a mixed chicken, seekh and onion baji starter such good value for money .

Most of the food was nice. However when I asked for salad in the burger I got a few pieces of perfect and two bits of onion.

2 hour wait!! We’ve ordered from Galaxy’s a few times now and the food has always been lovely. Hence why we keep ordering from here. However the delivery side is the part that lets you down. Ordered last night, said delivering approximately an hour later. Then an hour later said it had been delivered. So used the button that said order arrived late. I then got a text to say it would be with me within the next 5 minutes. 20 minutes after that I had to phone to ask where my takeaway was. All in all we waited 2 hours in total. The delivery driver was lovely, couldn’t apologise enough. Upon arrival the curry had spilled all over everything else in the bag. My partners meals were nice and still warm however mine wasn’t up to scratch. Had to reheat the curry in the microwave, Poppadoms were soggy and not even edible and the onion bahjis were over cooked and black. We will still order from here as the food is usually really good and the best pizzas around but something needs to be done about your delivery service as it’s massively letting you down. It wasn’t the first time we’ve had to wait up to 2 hours for our food.

Paid extra for stuffed crust pizza but the entire crust was burnt and inedible. The pizza just wasn’t nice at all. Chicken was bland and soggy. Asked for no sauce on burger but they put it on anyway. Wedges were seriously undercooked and didn’t taste of anything. Really disappointed.

Always nice food and customer service

Tasty food. Early delivery. Only problem we had was the curry had leaked all over everything was covered in it. Very messy trying to dish onto plates. But the food was good as usual. Better handling of the bags in future I think.

2hrs from order to be delivered. The meal deal I ordered I asked for sauce on the side not on the burger but the sauce was on the burger so I couldn’t eat it.

The Rogan josh curry was really poor, Very herby and not to an Indian standard at all. Practically no sauce. First and last order unfortunately. Kebabs was ok. Order time was good.

Order curry with chilli sauce collected order and chilli sauce had spilled all over my partner's burger when delivered and on the chips, which she wouldn't eat because it was all over the bag but other than that came on-time
