Ruby and Sophie are very helpful always on the ball what I like is I can see their name badges. You can see they enjoy their job. Good teamwork. Good service very helpful the ladies Are very friendly /helpful welcoming But the two lasts were excellent. The lady in the white top management I think. They are always very busy and love the atmosphere in her very quiet friendly atmosphere. Good food can't wait for breakfast. Love West Yorkshire. Love wakefeid. Its a beautiful place and hotel. Food in my opinion is bang on the money cheap and cheerful can't complain what so ever for what you pay staff are cheerful and helpful and a credit to the company my only criticism is that we ordered some starters to come at the same time as the main meal but come after we'd started our main was never going to be a 5 star as food quality isn't 5* but for what you get is deffo worth the money ...

Came for a family meal and the staff were fabulous and the food, delicious! I couldn't fault it. Great prices, nice and clean and very well presented. We all walked out with very full tummy's and smiles all round.

Was here for my sisters birthday ..i found the staff to be very friendly ...food was lovely and came within a reasonable waiting time especialy for a large number of 12 people ...kids loved the large play area and allthough £4.50 each to go it was worth it and kept the kids occupied ..overall its was a lovely experience and wouldnt hesitate to dine here again

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EAT HERE After previously eating out at other Brewers Fayres in the area, we thought we would visit this location for a group meal. At 7:30pm on a Saturday night, there was more atmosphere at a funeral. Out of the whole restaurant, there was only 8 people dining here - if you'd go anywhere else, it would be packed and would have to wait for a table. Most tables had reserved signs placed on them - seemingly to give the impression that it was a popular place when you could tell by the food and service that it was not. We found hair in one of our meals! The 'Chipotle Chilli Beef Topped Chips' were lacking in the chipotle chilli beef, as it came with what you would expect to get from a microwave meal, where you would have to defrost the sauce from a sachet. The 'Creamy Chicken & Pulled Ham Pie' was dry, lacked filling and the pastry seemed raw and soggy!!! The 'Smothered Chicken' was nothing special, it was 1 dry chicken breast with a dollop of BBQ sauce and 2 rashers of microwave anaemic bacon. All of us have walked away with extremely upset stomachs, my partner - who had the smothered chicken - has developed what we think to be food poisoning!!!!!!!! The staff were very quick to try and take our plates away, when we were all still eating. This disrupted our evening, as every 2 seconds, we had a member of staff in our face trying to take our plates whilst we were trying to eat.

Came for some dinner and were treated well by the staff, Luke was fantastic and Ruby on the on bar was great, would recommend.

We have been coming here for a while now and the only thing that keeps us coming back is the breakfast is great what let's this place down is the older staff/management poor customer service and very abrupt.

So refreshing to receive such pleasant and efficient service from all the team at this restaurant. It was great to see the staff actually looking as though they wanted to be working at the Wentworth, and enjoying their work which reflected in their approach and attitude towards customers. All credit to the manager of the site for building such a strong team, and also all credit to one particular member of staff called Ruby for the excellent and outstanding way she looked after us right from the meet & greet to the end of our meal. The good was pretty good too

We came to this pub for my sons 6th birthday because we like a brewers fayre and the ones around our area have all closed. (Premier inn) we were greeted by Luke and we asked if they'd bring my sons cake over after we'd eaten. The service from start to finish was fantastic. Luke then asked my husband what our sons name and age was about 5 minutes later they came out with a card, celebrations and avengers activity pack for him. We thought this was a lovely touch and made my son feel very special! Then luke brought the cake out and sang happy birthday with us and asked if we'd need a knife and plates etc. Absolutely amazing service and my son has come away feeling even more happy on his perfect little day.

The food is average at best, nothing amazing. We were a little annoyed as you can't go in and pick your own table and they cluster everyone together at one end of the restaurant while three quarters is empty. My mum is disabled and is very self-conscious when she eats as makes a mess, we ended up next to a table with a big group and this made her feel uncomfortable. We were also placed on a table with a corner booth which made it difficult getting in and out without disturbing another person. No other restaurant does this, unless it's a posh one, which this certainly isn't. It's noisy, and seems more busy than it is, but that's because they annoyingly group full tables next to each other instead of letting customers pick a quiet part of the restaurant.

Had a lovely family meal today, came after a football game (which we don't talk about, haha) Luke was amazing got us seated and was very helpful. He was lovely with the kids and was even nice when we left to travel back to Stockport. Thanks again Luke !! See you soon

Good quality basic food at a good price

Food good, staff very efficient and friendly,especially Pamela who goes out of her way to be helpful.

arrived 2pm on sunday, it was busy. recommend to book a table in advance. ordered sunday carvery, meats was in generous portion, not like other competitors servered small pieces, large carvery was £1.50 more and worth consideration if you are hungry, you could have many yorkshire puddings. we ordered from the value menu £9.49 for two meals, club sandwich and lentil hotpot were tasty. it was worth to add £1.50 up graded haddock fish and chips , we got full size fish and chips, that's only cost £6.50 less. the dessert £2.49 was also value for money.

Went on a Saturday lunch time when it was full of travelling Northampton fans, despite being busy the service was really quite good/quick and the lasagne was really quite good, well kept beer too.

What a scruffy dump! This place not only looks closed from the outside, it looks derelict and abandoned! The place looked in darkness, no A boards or open doors to guide customers in, even though it was open it didn’t look it. The outside is completely uncared for with overflowing bins, paths scattered with limestone, weeds, litter and dirty nappies!!!! Once inside the welcome at the bar wasn’t much better, the background music was too loud to be able to hold a conversation and the manager was conducting an interview in full view and earshot of customers. The company need to have a serious look at this dump. We won’t be rushing back!

Whilst the food at breakfast is really nice, we arrived as a walkin and was refused entry even though they have many empty tables. I went back to my vehicle and I could make a reservation!!! I have been to this establishment many times and it is the first time I have received this kind of service.

Yes again taken my children hear for food for hairs to be found in the food to be told the staff do not wear hair nets now beard snuds

Cheap and cheerful, food is ok. Our desserts never came out, had to ask a couple of times before the kitchen started preparing them (30 minutes after we finished our mains). We ended up cancelling them and got given a refund, extremely happy how they handled it

Came for an afternoon birthday meal with my niece and nephew who boasted about it being my birthday to the lady in the play area. This lady then proceeded to make us feel very welcomed and special as she brought a gift for the birthday girl. Food and service was lovely!

Not happy at all , Went to see my sister and husband the service is absolutely awful, we ask for hot water for my granddaughter bottle , but was refused, as we might burn her even though we told them that we had a flask that cools baby water down, we weren’t told that last order for food was nine clock , waitress was rude, and didn’t have much to choose from, will not be going back they

Great place, lovely food staff were brilliant.

We were a group of 4 adults and 1 child. A couple of pizzas and dirty chips were pretty good and service was with a smile. Our girl played happily with others and the play are was safe for a three year old. Nice lunch, if unadventurous.

There was several issues that could have been addressed by a more attentive workforce. The table top was sticky, the cutlery wasn't properly clean, the food was poorly prepared, not spoiled but certainly not very enjoyable. No atmosphere as the place was almost empty and I can see why!

Staff were rude and spent all their time just stood in a big group chatting. Service was slow despite being empty. Salad was brown. Food was mediocre, like bad school dinners. Toilets were absolutely disgusting and covered in poo with mess on the seats and paper all over the floor. Will not return. Would advise you give it a wide birth.

I had the veggie lasagne and it was beautiful, arrived at the table very fast. Unlimited soft drinks, what’s not to love - except Dr Pepper unavailable.

Stayed at the premiere inn next door for 2 nights as family of 4. Ate here both evenings and breakfast. Food was good value for money with a good choice. Service was good too. Big thanks to Pam and the team for looking after us 😊 would definitely visit again 👍

Staff were not very helpful, our table was booked for 5.45pm our friends were booked for 5.30pm we asked if we could sit near them, but the staff members said it was full and could not accomodate our request. The restaurant was probably half full. The photo shows it. The manager said she was expecting alot of people, not one party came in and sat where we asked to sit to join our friends. Ridiculously ran. No carvery on a sunday afternoon, which had apparently run out by 2.45pm, and food from main menu also had limitations as this too was not available. Our first and most likely last visit. However food was really nice.

Waited ages to order at the counter only to be told they'd ran out of Carvery, on a Sunday, at half 2!.

We went for lunch here today as a family of 6 and was very disappointed. Sunday lunch was average, carrots burnt, puddings cold and overall not great. I had a vegetarian hot dog which looked a week old but edible. I would highly recommend not ordering cocktails. As I had passion fruit martini that was served flat, not frothy. I also had pina colada which had no pineapple juice in and just poured over ice. When I ask for pineapple juice, I was told they don’t sell it. It wasn’t supposed too have that in. I was then rudely approached at the table to tell me it was out of a bottle and would have pineapple already in. I didn’t drink and will not be visiting again. Bad experience, rude staff, would not recommend

Food was absolutely stunning. Staff excellent attitude. Only down side was the 1hr wait for mains. Overall excellent.

Very slow service today, we had a 45 minute wait for our main, very slow service and it wasn't busy.

We stayed at the Premier Inn next door, so came and enjoyed the breakfast. It's great value, for £10.99 per adult, and my 2 lads got to eat free It's hot breakfast, cereals, yoghurts, fruit, pastries, drinks, fresh coffee etc etc. The staff are friendly and helpful

Flaking paint on ceiling above the table we was seated at .asked to move apparently all other tables where booked at 16:30 pm on a Saturday but restaurant sat almost empty so walked out. Think the place definitely needs a refurbishment. Awful to have flaking paint on a ceiling above tables. Yuck 🤢

Not bad - join the bonus club for better value. Just have one comment to make and that is to the restaurant supervisor - don’t ask if everything is ok if you are not prepared to do anything about it when there is an issue. Being told it’s out of your control is simply not good enough.

Stopped for a coffee and was welcomed quickly and efficiently. The restaurant was bust but the atmosphere was welcoming and good. The carvery looked very appetizing, fresh and I regretted not needing food! The manager, Craig asked if I needed help and seemed genuinely wanting to help. There was a slight malfunction with the coffee machine and Pamela dealt with most professionally and quickly. Very impressed.

Only stopped off for a quick coffee but very pleasantly surprised. A lovely atmosphere, staff friendly and helpful. Very clean, especially the toilets. Although not needing a meal the carvery looking really appetizingand I regretted not needing food. But BF I've visited.

Truly dreadful. Dy peas thin gravy and thin tasteless pies. What a joke! Don’t waste your money. If you are staying at the adjacent Travel Inn go to to McDonald’s next door. Even there you will get a much much better meal,

We had 4 meals between us. 2 steaks which were cooked perfectly. 1 smothered chicken, and a lasagne. All good was hot and came on warm plates. Cooked to perfection and service was great by all staff, on particular Kat. Will be back again.

I recently visited here with my 2-year-old son, and while I can’t comment on the food, I have to rave about their play area. It was a fantastic experience for my little one. The play area provided a safe environment for him to explore and have fun while I enjoyed a bit of relaxation. The staff ensured that the area was well-maintained , giving me peace of mind. My son had a blast, and it was wonderful to see him so engaged and happy. If you’re looking for a family-friendly spot with a great play area for toddlers, I highly recommend it checking out

Unbelievable experience. Staying at the primer inn next door so booked so we could both have a drink. Got in there bar on the Saturday night around 8.45 got are drinks went to get second drink at 9.15 then being told the bar was closing at 9.30. Then asked to leave at 10.00 So on to Sunday, walked into bar at 8.40 thinking it would close at 9.30 again. That wasn't to be the bar was closed 8.30, yes I said something and got a drink. At 9.00 we where all asked to leave. There was around 20 people drinking. 5 more got turned away after me. Really wasn't expecting this on Easter weekend. First and last time that I'll be going there, shame as its a nice area.

Easter Monday afternoon at around 2.30pm and the place was empty. We now know why. It took ages for the food to arrive and when it did it was cold and half of it was missing. Very disappointing. We both had different meals but both were poor and definitely not value for money. We won't be returning.

After a long day three weary people wandered in for dinner ...it was 19.45 ... when I enquired about food I was told that if we ordered in the next five minutes food would be possible . I hurried the others along and our order was placed .... Lasagne . mixed Grill & a rump steak ... A large glass of Malbec , bottomless coke & a pint of larger Shandy ..... The Malbec wasn't the best I have had but it was passable, it was the bottom of the bottle so perhaps they don't sell much of it . The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time . Everything appeared to be ok ... the chips with the mixed grill were overcooked ( dark and very crispy ) the onions rings were also over cooked . The Lasagne was nice and well presented . But we were hungry so no complaints were made . Whilst we were eating our meal a member of staff came over and said that if we needed more drinks could we get them as the bar was closing at 9 ( 21.00 ) . I am slightly confused by this as the website clearly states that they open until 22.30... on the whole food was fine but sadly in my eyes the review reflects the closure at 21.00 hours . I would be interested in hearing the reason behind this

Had a lovely meal here whilst my great nephews spent time in the play area. Fish, chips and mushy peas were very nice.

We had a really nice family breakfast. Lovely food and with kids eating free it was great value. Welcoming and friendly staff helped make it enjoyable for all of us.

Not a bad place for a family meal, there is a kids play area, the food was average, it wasn't exceptional tasty food, but it is a large chain restaurant, also it's quite pricey for a family of four, the service was ok but you should book a table before your visit, also allow about 30 mins wait time after you order, before your food gets delivered to your table. The pudding is very nice but also very expensive and don't expect a big portion. They also give blue light and x forces discount.

We go here 3 times a week in the afternoon midweek lovely place and great food and offers all the time . We now have the sirloin steak most visits so tender cooked to perfection. Beer was tetleys now been changed to worthington still as good . Offers via email from Brewers Fayre arrive regularly with discounts and the bonus card points are fabulous we get a free bottle of wine once a week . A mention for staff member PAMELA who is usually around in the afternoon when we visit makes sure we are ok . Top marks to all the other staff as well .

The food here is typical chain pub fare, it's cheap and cheerful.

We visited last week when I think unfortunately the regular staff weren’t working. We got there about 4:15 and there was hardly anyone in. It took ages for our food to arrive and when it did it was overcooked. The fish was so dry. When I went back up to the bar to order my son’s dessert I was told there was a 30 min wait so we left and went to McDonalds for a McFlurry. Won’t be visiting again. First bad experience we’ve had at a Brewers Fayre.

As always Sundays is my favourite day of the week to enjoy the fantastic carvery from the Wentworth. The turkey is always so tasty and never dry with very generous potions thanks to Craig. We were welcomed by Terri with a smile who walked us to our table. Fantastic family atmosphere and smiley bar staff, Ruby and Rebecca!! The children in our party loved the play area. The young girl in the Play area, Sophie was friendly and very helpful. We will return

Visited the Wentworth this Sunday again as we do on a regular basis. The food and service is second to none. Ruby, Pam, Becky, and Rebecca was on the bar and floor today and as always it's a pleasure. All of them are so friendly and can't do enough for you despite being rushed of their feet and still find time to always smile. Was gutted to hear it was Rebecca's last day as she's moving on to pastures new. We will miss her after seeing her most times after so many years. We had the mixed grill and couldn't fault it. We upgraded the steak to 8oz and it was cooked to perfection so I don't normally say anything but today I asked for the name of the chief as I was so impressed so a big shout out to Windy, Abe, and the rest of the kitchen team as they are the back bone staff hidden in the shadows. It was just how I like it😁👍

We went for a children’s birthday party for 11 young children and we was given 10 mins to get the children to eat their food , which is hard to do as most was under 4 years old …. It does actually say it’s a 2 course meal ,which it’s not . The staff then tidied area for next kids party , they then had the cake and birthday song on the reception for the children which was laughable to be honest , after complaining to the manager about the whole charade I was just brushed off and was given no apology …….dont waste your money. You’d be better off just paying for the children to go to the play area and then take them up McDonald’s next door

Can use my Blue Light card on main menu food items for a discount. Nice modern comfortable Whitbread Ltd chain pub with a Premier Inn next door. Been going here regularly for over a year so we spend about £500pm on food and drink. I would say 90% of meals have been outstanding hence we keep going back. Only odd problems have been with some rump steaks being tough and hard to chew one was full of grizzle but had many that have been excellent and tender. Wife has the sirloin whish is always tender. The daytime menu ( 2 for £11.79 ) is ok and the club sandwich is perhaps the best on offer. Staff members Kate, Sam C, Pamela and Jodie all spring to mind as being so nice and helpful and a credit to the company. A few others too whose names I cannot remember.

We had a fantastic experience after a long 5 hour journey we were ready for a rest and something to eat, we were greeted by Sam the manager who then introduced us to Pamela our server that was the start of a lovely evening, a warm welcome and a comfortable place to sit lovely and warm. We enjoyed main meals deserts and the 2 for £10 cocktails absolutely fantastic value for money thank you girls for taking such good care of us we certainly will be back again!

Go here quite often and had some nice steaks . On our last visit this week was served at bar by Sam C and later at our table gor chatting to Pamela and Jodie . All friendly and made our visit perfect . Meals come very fast as usual and beer was good . The Bonus card is great you get a lot of points when spending money . 500 points gets a free bottle of wine which for us is once a week.

Had to change my review last year's Christmas lunch was fantastic this years 25/12/2023 lunch was a absolute waste of money 5 prawns in the starter bread dry . Moving on to Christmas Dinner the guy butchering the turkey gave me and my wife the small bits that fall off as cutting that wouldn't amount to a full portion for one ,sprouts hard ,roast potatoes burnt but mushy ,mash like butter, gravey was brown warm water .we go most weekends though the year and after this weekend we may not go back so dissatisfied after last year. The other staff who were working was really busy and we appreciate them been there but this is far from a Christmas Dinner that we expected after last years and the food we get every weekend . The waitress did come and ask if everything was OK we expressed our disappointment in the dinner she then said do you want more meat but we just wanted to get home sorry guys this was my honest opinion and having paid so much I felt let down
