Food isn't bad, it used to be my go to cafe for a sandwich whilst working, unfortunately the last 2 times I've been in I've waited over 35 minutes for a sandwich to take out, with lots of people that came in after me getting served first. I just don't have time to wait that long for a sandwich.
Won't be going no more .
Called in to this fab little cafe, met with a very warm welcome from the owner.
We had a lovely toasty , home made vegetable soup and shared a massive piece of banoffee cake.
Well we were absolutely delighted in both the price and the quality, all home made.
Well would highly recommend this lovely tradition cafe with delicious homemade food. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Disgruntled owner who can't do toast correctly, over priced cold weak americano, tea was expected to be drunk from a children's cup & saucer ,take your own mug & sachet of coffee if visiting 😉
Proper unspoilt traditional village pub with a real fire in the bar. On the day I visited they had three cask beers on offer, one of which was Draught Bass, which was the one I settled on. It was absolutely perfect. Having just bought a property in the area, I expect that this pub will be my regular local. I just hope they don't change / spoil it, as has been the case with many of this type of pub.
2020 Covid review
Opening hours seem stale now. There's hand sanitise on the way in. No wifi. You can message them by Facebook to reserve a table. They have only 4 taps of real ales but no bottle any more. Expensive for Donny, 1.80 a half or 3.60 a pint.
Old review
Lovely place with 10 taps and loads of bottles. Prices are expensive for Doncaster but there is plenty of choice
