Blacksmiths Coniston in East Riding of Yorkshire

Al entrar notamos lo limpio y nuevo que se veía todo el lugar, preguntamos cómo había ido la renovación. La respuesta "fue genial, pero fue hace 7 años. " Sobre la comida Solo tuvimos un entrante, una pila de pudín negro con empanada de salchicha y salsa de pimienta en grano y estaba realmente sabroso. En la tubería principal tenía el pastel de carne, ya que me aseguraron que era un pastel apropiado, no una de esas cosas tristes en una olla con una tapa falsa. Y créeme que realmente era un pastel apropiado con un atajo pastel encantador que encierra muy sabroso y filete magro con una salsa preciosa. Se sirvió con papas fritas caseras y verduras laterales. No he tenido un pastel tan bueno desde que visité el especialista Pie Pub (Piebald Inn) En Hunmanby. Mi buena señora tenía el Philly Cheesesteak Flatbread y estaba igualmente impresionado, filete magro encantador en una salsa muy agradable, de nuevo servido con patatas fritas caseras adecuadas. El personal era muy acogedor, amable y servicial. Para resumir Una comida fantástica a un precio muy razonable bañada con una cerveza real muy sabrosa en un entorno muy agradable y limpio. ¿Qué más podríamos pedir? Recomendamos encarecidamente una visita y sin duda volveremos tan pronto como podamos

Visité con mi pareja e hijo para el cumpleaños de mi hijo. Mi pareja y yo hemos estado un par de veces, pero esta fue mi primera visita de mis hijos, Mi pareja siempre va por el pastel de carne y mi hijo también pidió esto, yo pedí el stroganoff de hongos y esto era tan sabroso. Todos pedimos el mismo postre que era el pastel de queso Nutella. Fue agradable, pero no diría que sabía a Nutella solo chocolate. Nos gustó mucho la comida. Sin duda recomendaría este lugar. Buena comida. Muy limpio y limpio.

A reasonable place to eat if you're passing, food and drink is ok and service is fine, it maybe a little slow if they are busy.

I couldn't fault it! food was delicious, the staff were lovely and the service was excellent.

¡Excelente! Visitamos ayer por la noche y tuvimos una mesa bastante grande con 14 de nosotros. El servicio fue increíble. El personal no podría haber hecho más por nosotros. La comida estaba absolutamente deliciosa y cocinada fresca. Teniendo en cuenta que teníamos un gran pedido todo estaba caliente y cocinado a la perfección. Hemos visitado un número de veces antes y nos encanta aquí! Sin duda recomendaría!

We was a table of 4....food and staff where outstanding.. They even put the heating up when we asked.

Dined end of 2024 Average pub food and average value....6 pieces of scampi and small portions of chips + mushy peas for almost £16.Lemon meringue pie consisting of inedible thick,hard crust base + strange powdery topping and bland lemon filling.Yhe chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding were better choices.

MODERN INTERIOR, BUT STILL A COSY FEEL, GREAT FOOD

Has Sunday lunch for four people. The steak pie roast and beer roast were both fantastic. The cheese cake and sticky toffee pudding likewise. Big portions, fresh food and great value.

Aquí estamos de nuevo en Herreros. El mismo personal, el mismo gran servicio, pero esta vez probé el PIE. Bueno, déjame decirte que este pastel era el pastel de pasteles. Si este pastel se reencarnara como un coche, sería un Porsche. Si este pastel hubiera sido una mujer y yo hubiera estado soltera en ese momento, me habría arrodillado y le habría pedido que se casara conmigo. Sí amigos, así de bien.

Acabo de ir a herreros para una comida de Navidad con mi hermana. Excelente comida y servicio. Muy agradable noche. Estuve aquí una vez para mi cumpleaños, fue muy bueno. Sin duda recomendaría este lugar.

Good service but food could of been hotter, it was obviously heated up in the microwave.

Absolutely excellent for dining, was planning on stopping at the Gardeners but missed it and was turning round here. Seemed like fate brought me here so why not? Anyway, had a big steak, cooked to perfection. Wife had fish. We didn’t have to wait long and really enjoyed it. Will be back…

Great place, very good staff, great food and drink. Never been dissapointed at this venue.

Food was OK, not exceptional as I had heard great reviews, portion size on the small side unless you like chips !

What a lovely meal visited on a Saturday night for grandson's birthday from walking in to finishing our meal was spot on food delicious service no 1 staff very helpful definitely visit again

Decent food, had better had worse. The service was poor and could put a dampener on things if you let it. Reasonable price, plenty of room for larger groups.

Proper chips. Proper scampi. Proper mushy peas. Loved it. Great service. Sure the atmosphere will pick up later.

I was told by a few people how nice it was here but I was a bit dissapoiinted with the food. The lady that served us was friendly & helpful. For me I was not very impressed with the food, I had the lamb tikka, & it was very tough, with salad & fries plus two things chopped in a sauce think it was onion of a non descript taste, my husband had chicken in a cream sauce he said tasted very bland. Two main meals & two drinks each came to over £50 , for this price I expect to enjoy my meal, overall I wouldn't rush back

Visited on a Friday lunchtime. Great service, top quality food large portions friendly staff efficient service and reasonable prices. Specials board and great desserts A definite will go again experience

My wife had the Gammon very disappointed full of fat under cooked some of the chips were under cooked my wife does not like to complain but would expect better for the price will not re visit.

Went with great expectations left disappointed got the black pudding stack which was 2 thin pieces of black pudding and a burger then the steak pie which would have been ok but for the most disgusting gravy only able to eat half of it left the rest my wife had chicken Kiev which was a piece of bread chicken to top it all £5 for a poor pint of cask beer the whole thing was over priced complained twice to no avail paid up and left won’t be back

We went today as it was highly recommended and it didn't disappoint!The food was really nice and we will definitely be going back soon.

Beautiful restaurant bar that serves up freshly cooked meals. We had chicken a la creme and a Sunday roast. Accompanied by someone who is gf the staff made sure she was caterer for! We will return!

Food has always been very good here. I really recommend the steak! The rump is done exactly as you want it and tasty too, no sauce needed!

Having never been before i had no idea what to expect. The food was lovely and didnt take too long to come out. The only reasons it isnt 5 star across the board is; regarding the service the lady that looked after our group wasn't very friendly, most of our group felt that way. And the atmosphere, unfortunately when we entered we had to enter into a room where a wake was being held. Id have thought while a wake was on directions or signs to the other door would be a good idea. Both for those attending the wake not being disrupted by the public, and for the public to not have to walk through that kind of function. It was my grandfathers 87th birthday and it put a bit of a dampner on things unfortunately. We have all said that given the food was so nice we would like to come by another time and give it another try.

Staying at a local country park went past a couple of times looked busy so thought give it a go at lunchtime. Top marks from start to finish my wife and I enjoyed our meals and the service. My wife had the steak and ale pie I had the lamb tikka we will return this is what I give a 10/10.

We have been every so often for a few years now. It has always been enjoyable. The service has never been slow. The food has always been fantastic. Excellent experience. We prefer to avoid the busy times, but have occasionally been when full and still had a pleasant experience.

Large pub/restaurant, good menu with food standard to match. Very engaging staff above and beyond what you normally encounter. Well maintained and very clean, large car park and across from the pub a very good farm shop reasonably priced. Highly recommend a visit.

We visited here recently. It was my first visit and won’t be my last. I had the Greek flatbread which was delicious, and my party were also really happy with their meals, which included the gammon and the steak pie. The highlight was the raspberry cheesecake! It was absolutely gorgeous, best I’ve ever had anywhere. I’d order delivery of it if it was possible. The prices were on the higher side but you get what you pay for. The portion sizes were big and filling. The service was efficient and friendly. Can’t wait to go again.

This was our first visit to the Blacksmiths Arms and it won't be our last. We pass it regularly and noticed that the car park is always busy so thought it must be worth a look. Three of us had lunch at 2.30 today and it was excellent. Chicken Snitzel, beef stronganoff and Philly flatbreads - good platefuls and great food, couldn't fault. Very pleasant staff, plenty of space and nice atmosphere. Would recommend.

Excellent food . Admittedly a bit pricey . Especially the sweets . But can't fault anything else .

Rang and booked a table a week in advance, arrived early Sunday afternoon, we were shown to a table in the busiest part of the pub, asked if we could be moved somewhere quieter as my husband is deaf and finds it hard in a noisy area, I was Informed that was all they had or we could sit outside, seeing as there seemed to be plenty of empty tables we thought that was strange.ordered drinks and chose our meals, starters were lovely. Main course was very nice except for the steak pie which was dried out and hard to eat, I should have sent it back, the other main meals were very nice. We have been many times during the week and found the food very good so was disappointed today, service was very good.

Booked a family meal for my daughters 21st birthday, first time visiting and wasn't disappointed. 20 of us booked, pre order sent with a last minute change on the morning which wasn't any issue, all food came out together and was beautiful, all fresh, cooked perfectly, plus was homemade chips. Dave and his team looked after us all plus brought out the cake, nothing was to much. We had 6 children with us which wasn't a problem, great family pub and was lovely to have the family together enjoying a nice meal. Thanks team Blacksmith Arms we will definitely be back and recommending

Sunday lunch was bland,Turkey with dark beef gravy. We have had other meals, the first time you have it it's great, the second time different, not as good. It's a shame, because we really like the place. Just dissatisfied with the food. Sorry.

Our first time at The Blacksmiths Arms and it wont be our last. Popped in on a weekday lunchtime and the place was quite busy but the young girl found us a table and brought our drinks. I noticed they served a special for smaller appetites so went for the small fish, chips and peas. My uncle had the same and my partner had the Greek flatbread. The fish and chips are the best I have tasted in a long time and was more than enough for us, so glad I didn't get the large. My partner raved about her meal and even before we got home was asking when we are going again. The service was friendly and efficient, the ale was good and the food was top notch. Well done Chef.

Visited several times, staff are polite but fast. We had starters and main in 30 minutes flat, so felt rushed. Recently changed menu, so no mixed grill, before was lovely and its been removed. Thought we would try new menu and it has gone down hill for us. Shame as we wont be going back. Food bland

Lovely food as always. Service was not the best( except the young lady waitress) we booked a table for 6 of us( last week) ,only walk ins came in and their food order was taken( and food arrived) before ours . Very disappointing birthday night out.

We were so impressed with this restaurant. We were found a table when they were really busy without a booking, the food came really quick, and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. 5 stars on all counts

Its is a lovely place to eat. The pub itself has a lovely atmosphere, the decor is quite modern inside.There is soo much choice on the menu. We had between us, lamb tikka, which was amazing, chicken ala creame with crushed garlic potatoes & veg, steak sandwich which our friend had & highly praised it, & salmon & prawn linguini which again was beautiful. The sweets were to die for, I had raspberry cheese cake & I can honestly say it was the most delicious I've ever tasted, our friends had lemon meringue pie with raspberry icecream & sticky toffee pudding, absolutely huge portion. All in all, a very pleasant experience & we will definitely be going back again. Thank you to the staff at the blacksmiths Arms Coniston.

We had chicken Caesar wrap and Mexican chicken wrap - chicken very dry and virtually no chicken or sauce on either wrap - very disappointing - could have got better wraps from Asda !!

Went for a birthday meal with family, we go to Blacksmiths quite often. Usually excellent, but was a bit disappointed on this occasion. Had a steak to be cooked medium rare. steak was thin overcooked and leathery. Garlic potatoes weren't very hot, so overall not good. Rest of family enjoyed, so won't let it put me off.

What a lovely local village pub. The food was superb, fresh and tasty. I will be going again! Thanks

Excellent quality food and service - not too busy when we arrived about 3pm but was filling up by the time we left around 4.30pm. This was a Saturday by the way.

Lamb 'Henry' and the Aubergine Dhal curry were absolutely delicious! Perfect spot for dinner after a day walking. Staff were really lovely too. The front panelled room with the fireplace is the best room so request to sit there if you can!
