What a view from this pub over the beach out to sea drinks were lovely didn't have food but it did look lovely.

Crab salad with new potatoes and salad was superb friends had chicken sizzler and gammon steak . Both demolished Would definitely recommend The conservation sea views add to the dining experience. Would definitely recommend a visit .

Very good little place. Nice drinks selection. Didn't eat but the food being brought out looked wonderful and we wished we had. Good view if you get a window seat. Feels more like a private club than a pub. Definitely worth a visit ☺️

As always a wonderful atmosphere, incredible location with fab sea views. The service is always constant, friendly and efficient. A wonderful venue for a meal or to have drinks. Can not recommend enough 💕

We called in the captain Williams for a drink. There was a wide choice of beers lager and cider, including two hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, which were in excellent condition when we called visited. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It's a large comfortable bar with excellent sea views. There is outside seating and a small car park.

Had Sunday dinner there it was first class & plenty of food. Roast dinner around 12 pounds & loads of it. Will go again.

Had a family funeral wake here and very hospitable, friendly. Great food and allowed dogs too which was a bonus. Highly Recommended

What a fantastic place this is. Me, my husband and 10 year old son had Sunday lunch here today. The staff were all very helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble. We were shown to our table then we got our drinks from the bar. The waitress then came over to take our orders. We each chose a different meat, the beef, turkey and honey roast ham. The meat was accompanied by Yorkshire puds, roasties, cauliflower cheese, brocolli, cabbage, swede and carrot and lots of delicious gravy. It was all home made, tender and tasty - one of the best meals we've ever had in a pub. We couldn't resist a pudding so ordered the marshmallow sharing board but couldn't finish it all so we were provided with a box to take it home! I would highly recommend this place. Five stars all round ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ apart from the rooms which I can't comment on as we only went in for a meal. The seaview is amazing too and in summer it would be great to relax in the beer garden with a drink or two. Thank you Captain Williams, we're definitely coming back! 😃🍽🍰

Sadly, we had the worst night sleep here. Extremely loud music from the pub going on untill nearly 11pm , could hardly hear myself think. And then one of our rooms was placed next to the boiler room , which was ridiculously noisy all night long, meaning absolutely no sleep . We had booked the rooms before the new year and the owners had deliberately not answered our messages to pay for the total bill in advance, knowing they would be putting their prices up when I had to pay in the new year. On check out not a single enquiry about our stay. Extremely disappointing.

Been before and had a lovely meal but this was our first Sunday Lunch which was fantastic. I opted for the beef which was plentiful and tender. The vegetables weren't over cooked and a big plus was it was all hot. Can highly recommend 😁

What an amazing evening we had last night with our staff party. Perfect location and lovely Christmas decor. The food was out of this work, big portions and cooked to perfection. The brownie was the best I have ever had! Thank you 🤗

We were visiting family & they booked for us all to have a meal, it's the first time we have eaten here & we were not disappointed. They have eaten here before & really like it. Three of us had steak pie & my Husband had the lamb shank. The pie was beautiful & I would choose to have it again. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. We were all too full for a dessert, maybe next time! We had a seat in the window which was perfect & watched the North Sea waves rolling in. Well done Captains Table. I keep forgetting to put photos on!

Mainly pizzas or kebabs, but the burgers we had were very tasty.

Enjoyed every minute the staff were friendly and attentive the views fantastic won't stay anywhere else in the future after staying here

Captain Williams is fantastic. Great location right on the sea front of Withernsea. Beautiful decor inside with plenty of seating. Great atmosphere even though the pub was full and staff were very busy serving meals. Meals were to die for. All homecooked food and big portions. Great selection of beers and spirits, and great cocktails. Hosts Darren and Rachel have done a fantastic job in the short time they have been there. All the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Best pub in the area without a doubt 😁👍

The cleanist pub I have ever been in, landlord very welcoming. Definitely going back tomorrow. If it was in my home town I would be in there all the time.

Smashing pub at the northern end of the promenade. Sit outside for views over the beach and to the sea. Large conservatory at the front, in case it isn't warm and sunny. Serving three cask beers, all from different independent breweries

Stayed in motorhome just on sea front. Visited for a drink. Sat by window overlooking sea. Very clean and management very friendly, and very clean and organised. Would recommend to anyone.

Amazing quality drinks and the service was amazing. The social distancing during COVID-19 was brilliant. Outdoor seating available, 3 tables to seat 12 and inside was decent. The sanitation inside was good... However don't sell food.
