Excellent beers 🍻, Food is really good 👍 and the staff are friendly.

Went for the pie,mash,peas and gravy. The pie was very good as was the mash,the gravy was abit watery for my liking but plentiful. My other 4 diners were impressed by their meals,although the beef was very nice it wasn’t plentiful. The veg was nice and tasty ,all in all decent. Prices average for nowadays as everyone has put their prices up but this food was home cooked gear so deserves credit. One other point ,the menu leaflet was poor ,covered in food and drink stains.

Had a wonderful Sunday afternoon in here couple of weeks ago with friends, great Sunday lunch, at a very competitive price. Live singer wasn't to my personal taste, but overall an enjoyable afternoon for two colleagues and myself

Local pub, lovely atmosphere but ordered Sunday lunch and it was very poor. Veg consisted of 3 dried parsnips, : roast potatoes and 2 small pieces of broccoli. It is my local pub and has just been taken over. I so wanted it to be good at it is so convenient but will not be returning for Sunday lunch.

Jade at "The Hase" gave us a warm welcome for a family get together (myself plus my sisters and 2 of 3 brothers-in-law) on Friday 28/10/2022. We were lucky to have a fairly quiet Friday meal, eating, drinking and chatting, and only needed a nod to Jade for her to give us her full attention. Be warned, however, food service is only available Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from noon and just through the afternoon. Portions were generous, and only three of us managed a sweet before coffee (or tea) was served. After more than three years without being able to all meet in one place, it was a lovely, friendly, venue to get together, and thanks to all the staff on duty who made the visit such a success. We went to The Hase for the first time today and can definitely say we will be back. Myself and my partner had a lovely Sunday dinner (chicken was cooked perfectly, literally melts in the mouth) and our children had a jacket potato and chicken nuggets with chips (proper homemade chips!) Our youngest doesn't eat well so the lovely landlady brought him a little bowl of chips which was so lovely and thoughtful. Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon

We were looking for some were different to have Sunday lunch. We certainly made the right choice. The staff were friendly and the surroundings were very welcoming. We ordered at the vegetable soup for starters, when it arrived it looked perfect and appetizing served with a bread roll and butter. On tasting the soup was nice and hot and completely full filling a perfect starter. The main course we ordered was a traditional roast with beef our choice of meat. Our main course arrived and looked delicious the presentation of the food on the plate looked perfect. Once again the food was hot and really satisfying in fact wonderful. We were eager to try a starter even though we were edging towards very full, never mind let's ' Push the Boat Out'. We ordered treacle sponge and custard. It arrived steaming hot with a generous jug of custard also very hot. On indulging on our desert it was lovely and we did not want it to end. All I can say is we believe we made the perfect choice, and would like to thank the staff at The Hase for making our Easter Sunday very enjoyable. It won't be long before we will be visiting again.

Found this lovely place for something to eat and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff from the moment you walk in to walking out were really nice. Very chatty and extremely polite. The Hase is an excellent pub next to Hessle Church. There is a wide range of beers and lagers on offer including three cask conditioned hand pulled real ales, something a lot of pubs can't manage so full marks to the landlord. It is a bit of a tardis it looks small from the outside but it goes back a long way. The pub sells excellent food at reasonable prices, the staff are very friendly, a great pub for a drink or a bite to eat. Highly recommended.

Wouldn’t let my group of of 3 in on Xmas eve, Emma hardy MP walks in behind us and the landlord lets her straight in though, absolute joke how they treat customers, the landlords a joke.

Lovely pub, had my partner's 30th birthday party here, it was a great night. Buffet was excellent, the dj was great and Mary the landlady was so nice and helpful. Would definitely have another party here.

Nice traditional pub with a good choice of well pulled beers. Food is home cooked and very nice.

We had the homemade steak pie Sunday dinner that came with mash, roast potatoes,peas, parsnips, carrots, cauliflower a Yorkshire pudding and lots of gravy absolutely beautiful.

Visited during Hwssle fest, very busy but very organised.

Great ales friendly atmosphere. Had Sunday dinner was delicious. Pete and Mary landlord and landlady make you feel very welcome. Like part of the family.

Good range of beers and ciders. Pretty busy because it was Hessle Feast but it wasn't too long of a wait. Prices were okay locally comparative.

Proper pub, just the place to relax after band.

I visited with my mum. I had the baked potato with cheese, served with salad and coleslaw. My mum had the fish and chips. It was lovely. The only criticism would be that I prefer the coleslaw on the side of the potato, not in it. Just a personal thing.

Pub has a good atmosphere, staff really helpful, my meal was good, but the other fish and chips not as good as before. The drinks - excellent.

The staff we're lovely but the Sunday dinner was not great at all. The pork chops wasn't nice, veg was not aledente but rather raw. Its a shame that the food for all 6 of us let it down.

A little gem. A place to either have a quiet pint or chat with the locals. Good selection of real ales.Great food as well.

ln the hase on Saturday,i heard a man say" its very relaxed in here ,yes it was.An older lady maybe the manager ,came over asked us if we wanted drinks ,she had no mask on then had the cheek to ask me to put my mask in my pocket and not on the table.If she is exempt from wearing a mask she should wear a visor to protect customers,stricter rules should be put in place no matter who you are .

Called in after a walk over the Humber Bridge and surrounding area . Sunday dinner was fantastic , and very reasonably priced . Good real ale and drink selection and a smashing atmosphere. All staff were very friendly and I just wish we had a pub like this near us . Will return in the near future. Andy Mac Rotherham

Only popped in for a quick pint. Nice selection on offer . Very pleasant staff. Food also available but I was only in for a drink. Toilets were immaculate. Looks to be a very well run pub. I noticed there was entertainment which is nice to see.

Staying in the area for a few weeks with work, I stumbled upon the Hase and have been back every night since! Made to feel really welcome by all of the staff and they serve excellent quality home cooked food, the chef is passionate about his cooking and it really reflects in the food. I'd highly recommend you try the Hase for yourself, I know I'll be a regular when in the area.

Visited the Hase for the first time at the weekend and was so glad I did. We had lunch and drinks which were reasonably priced. The food was amazing and the service absolutely second to none. We were made to feel so welcome by all the staff and we will definitely be returning soon!!

Landlady and landlord plus all staff on duty so fantastic. So happy to help you with whatever you require. Whole atmosphere totally welcoming. If not going to Stanley's would of had food there. SMELT, LOOKED great. Tomorrow as they do Sunday lunch. Put on food also for the Rugby only asking for donations which we did even though we did not have any food but loved the why. It’s with a heavy heart that I write this review. The Hase pub has always been my go to destination for all my family events and nights out for many many years, however, this is no longer the case. A pub that used to be warm and welcoming has taken a nose dive to be somewhere many people don’t wish to visit due to the behaviour of the landlords of this pub. The landlords come across to be friendly and kind people, however there seems to be another side which is not becoming! Like many others I have witnessed and experienced the ‘regulars only’ atmosphere... being made clear that there custom is more valued and preferred over any other...but my question is... how do new people become regulars if they are not welcome?? The beer is far more expensive than other pubs in the square (which are often busier in a good way!), there is no parking and as mentioned above the welcome is usually better elsewhere. It’s sad that this place has changed so much and I only hope that readers take this on board when planning the visit somewhere is Hessle ... perhaps try Granby or Admiral!

Beautiful meal came here with my aunt, we had gammon egg chips and peas,a portion of onion rings. It was perfectly cooked. Staff were lovely would recommend the hase

We ate here enjoying the Xmas meal menu. 25 of us! The service was exceptional and Mary made everyone feel at home. Tables beautifully decorated. I personally had a Pate starter followed by Turkey with all the trimming and cheesecake to finish. All home made and big portions. Simon the chef even came out to speak to everyone. Also had a wide choice of beer and spirits with even some cocktails on tap! Nowhere else will provide such hospitality

A BIG thank you to all of you at The Hase for making our daughters 18th Birthday celebration with her family and friends so special last weekend! We were so looked after and the buffet was fabulous and very much enjoyed, we drank and danced till early hours! From start to finish Mary looked after us and we then came back for one of chef s homemade delicious Sunday lunch the next day. Cheers to Peter, Mary and all your staff for such a great time. Ate here with the family on Friday night, food was great, all home cooked, all staff where very friendly and welcoming and was a lovely touch that the chef came and talked us through the specials. Recently moved to the area and will definitely be back soon.

Very good value for the money you pay, 6 choices on the board, so something for everybody's taste, we'll be back.

Good value food,relaxing atmosphere

I held my 50th Birthday Party at The Hase last night. Mary went out of her way to make it a memorable evening, from organising the dj to putting up the decorations and balloons to doing the food. The food I chose was a mix of hot and cold; curry, rice, hot dogs, chips and a finger buffet which was delicious and very reasonably priced. We all had a fab evening with lots of drinking and dancing. Thanks again x
