The best fish and chips place on the east coast and in bridlington they do a old pensioners rate for you and the place is exceptionally clean plus they is a disabled toilet on the ground floor so we would recommend this fish and chips place to anyone who wants great quality fish and chips just to let you know the shop only takes cash which for me is fine

Went here as a couple of friends to keep us going. Service was really polite and friendly, the speed of the food arriving was quick and the food was beautiful. We had cod and chips with curry and chips, sausage and gravy, both meals were huge and tasted spot on.

Called here for fish and chips. Sat in the restaurant. The fish was lovely and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Very reasonable prices

Fantastic fish. I regard myself as an expert over the years being a norther brought up on fish and chips and I can' remember a better cooked fish with nice chips. Excellent service and value for money.

Always lovely food and fast service, I’ve been going for many many years and never had a bad one. Bridlington town has so many fish and chip shops on every street so competition is strong. I’ve tried others but always find Jacks superior so if open it’s my go to chippy. I prefer to sit inside and have them served. Just the best chippy.

So impressed with this place. We went as a group of 9 and sat upstairs.The service was excellent - a lovely older lady who couldn’t do too much for us. So accommodating! The fish and chips were perfect- amongst the best we’ve ever had. A large portion with curry sauce and hot drink and bread - good value for money. Would highly recommend x

Good Fish and Mushy peas, chips weren't the best, but plenty were on the plate. Didn't seem like freshly "rumbled in -house" but pre-packed ones. Overall value was good though, £11.99,Fish, chips, mushy peas, bread & butter and tea. Staff were very friendly and service was very quick.

Fish and Chips, what's more to be said! Fish and mushy peas were excellent. Chips left a bit to be desired, but they made up for it by putting plenty on the plate. I am unsure, but they didn't seem to be the "shop rumbled and chipped" version, but the "bought in" vacuum-packed prepared ones. However, the price was good, £11.99 for Fish, Chips, mushy peas, bread & butter. Bit surprised they didn't do lemon wedges. To go with the dish. Staff were excellent and the service was swift.

I absolutely love this place...its the very best fish and chip restaurant ive ever been to...i also buy take away food .... it's really wonderful quality..staff are so kind...and go above and beyond....i take my friends there...and tell everyone to go.......5 stars....

Massive portions, chips like my nana used to make. Asked for lightly battered and was perfect. Would ask for a bit more vinegar next time. Proper chippy

Jack"s Chippy is a top class fish and chip shop and restaurant. Tables upstairs with sea views. The food and service are tremendous. We had standard fish and chips, and OAP Specials. Fish was fresh and superbly cooked, chips, scraps, mushy peas and curry were all excellent. Best fish and chips in Bridlington!!

Warm and friendly welcome and then fantastic fish and chips, generous portions of proper old fashioned style fish and chips. Really tasty fillet bubbly batter and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this chippy.

It's almost 2 years since we last visited this fish & chip shop & they're still dishing up fish with raw batter. We thought we'd give it another try but won't be going again. £18.00 what a ripoff!!

Probably the best fish and chips in the world (to misquote that old lager advert). Quick and polite service in the cafe side, the fish was cooked perfectly and you have a choice of quantity of chips. Two regular, two small, fish chips and mushy peas, plus bread/butter and a large pot of tea left change from £40. Excellent value. I’ve docked a star because they are cash only and in 2023 many of us don’t carry much cash.

Fantastic fish and chip restaurant. The picture is of an OAP special. A standard fish was huge!! Great fish, super crisp batter, scraps, chips were great, excellent mushy peas, super service, highly recommended!!

We sat inside to eat. The food was great but the service was a bit lacking. We ordered 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals. 1 kids meal arrived with no chips (we had only asked if the sausage could be battered not plain so thats all we got on the plate) and we had to ask about the drink that should have come with the kids meal and point out on the menu that the kids meals also came with a drink. Id still go back again though.

Been eating here for over 20 years and the quality never fails to impress. Just the best fish and chips you could ever eat anywhere

We grabbed dinner here last night as a family of 3 and oh my goodness me the fish was amazing! No soggyness, lovely and crispy and really delicious. Chips were wonderful too.

Fish & chips with mushy peas tea bread & butter was good value for money and tasty. A bit noisey as the cafe is open to the take away area and staff were racing around trying to get everyone served as quick as possible. I have been before and will returning. That says it all

What a lovely Fish and Chip restaurant! Nothing was too much trouble half an hour before closing time. The Fish was huge and so fresh 🥰 with piles of chips and mushy peas - and SCRAPS yay! And a pot of tea. lovely warm comfortable table - it finished off my daytrip to Brid from Sheffield perfectly. Thank you! I will be back

We always eat here when visiting Bridlington. After a walk on the marvelous flat beach and extensive prom front nothing better than value for money traditional seaside fish n chips.

Decent enough fish and chips 3 times were around £26 Ate them on the tables outside and watched the world go by. Marked down a point for not taking card only cash Ridiculous in this day and age

We were in Bridlington for the day and wanted some fish and chips to get see us through to dinner. I wanted to just get some chips from one of many places along the seafront wife had other ideas. We popped in here we ordered 5 portions of chips and one piece of fish this cost 16 pound. The food wasn't too bad but the fish was very very greasey and thin the portions of chips were barely a handfull very mean portion sizes. In each portion you could have filled a wrap with them smaller than a 5 year old portion. Happy to take the money and then rip you off on your portion. Wife returned back there and challenged them they gave her a further real portion of chips with the excuse of didn't think you were that hungry and you asked for small chips. There was only one price so should be one size wouldn't use again

Great food, perfect portion sizes & friendly staff

I've read so many good reviews about this place so we went out of our way to give it a try. We very rarely carry any cash as the modern way is to pay by card. So it was very disappointing to be told just as we ordered that payment was cash only. There were no notices or signs to say this prior to ordering. Can't comment on the food as we didn't get any

Jack's chip shop is by far the best chip shop in bridlington. My wife and I and sister in law use them every week fish is beautiful and chips are the same. Give it a try you will not be disappointed

One of the nicest chip shops here, although finding them open is a trick, we’ve been back a couple of times and they’ve been closed. The food was nice and hot and well cooked. The fish was very fresh.

Simply the best fish and chips in the uk

I don’t normally write reviews, but this place absolutely blew us away. Not only was the food incredible (probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had) but the service was impeccable. They were so friendly and accommodating (we have two small kids and had to rearrange the restaurant). We spoke to a few other people in there; all regulars who had been coming a long time. One of them told us that the owner, Jack, had been frying fish for 42 years (since he was 13 years old) and it shows. All of that for ~£10/head! I will be going back whenever I’m in Brid, that’s for sure.

Went with family for lunch and had fish, chips and peas and coffee,it was very tasty and really enjoyed it all.I would definitely recommend this lovely place and will visit again in the future.

First class service and food will now be the one i use in Bridlington

Went with my husband and grandson for a day trip to Bridlington. The fish and chips was the best I’ve had in years haddock fish cake chips and mushy peas. The service was very good and they give us an extra plate for my 18 mth grandson nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely go back on our next trip.

Very helpful staff been disabled they could not help any better. The portions were large too.

This so far best chippy in bridlington. Me and my partner stumbled across this place and we really enjoyed our visit. We loved the decor and the staff where lovely and friendly. The food it's self was awesome. The fish was beautiful and the batter was perfect. Even the mushy peas was full of flavour! Keep up hard work We will be back

It might have been a higher rating had the member of staff that was working not been on her own. Food was ok, chips a bit on the overcooked reheated recooked side. Asked for coffee with meal, was initially brought tea. It was soon rectified though. Think the member of staff has been let down and due to her being on her own was struggling a little

I've been going to jacks for years and always been good but the time before last I got dried up chips that had been sat for a while and needed throwing. I complained and got my money back. I gave them another chance and received the same quality with fatty greasy fish. Would not recommend and won't be going back. Gone from the best in brid to the worse
