We really enjoyed this American 50's themed diner in Whitby. The staff are great, and the food was lovely. The kids especially loved the massive, ice cream filled, milkshakes!
Shame I can't give zero stars. Restaurant took the booking, send an email the night before to confirm. We turned up place was well and truly closed and must have been for sometime.
This place was a standard buffet style restaurant with the really nice addition of cooking the meat at your own table, which made for a really interesting part of the meal.
The staff were able to accommodate for our group of 8, which is larger than what they usually take, without much fuss and allowed us to get straight into the food. The food itself was nice, there was a mix of some premade and precooked meats and noodles along with the raw meat we cooked ourself. My only downside to this would be that it lacked some freshness.
Are here early on a Friday night, pretty quiet to start with but soon got busy. Nicely decorated inside but it was a little chilly on a March evening. Prawn starter was disappointing and I wouldn't choose it again but the chicken chom chom main was very good and the naan was excellent. Plenty of options on the menu and a choice of a couple of draft beers. Service was good and staff friendly.
Wow, will be ordering again, 20 minutes early on a saturday night too, the food was that good it could have been two hours late and i wouldnt have cared
Sandwiches were fine, but generally unimpressive. We had the Dick Turpin (Reuben) and Harry Trotter (Pulled pork). Both felt a bit dry and served less warm than they should have been. Taste was good but not amazing.
We didn't stay here but stopped off for lunch on the off chance that they had a table for two available, they did. The food was very nice, as was the atmosphere and the staff were all friendly. Great place.
We booked a table for 5 people to celebrate my parents 62nd Wedding Anniversary. We had a really lovely meal, thoroughly enjoyable, especially the Mozzerella Fiorentina and the Salmone Americana. Friendly service, a good atmosphere and a special dessert when we asked if they had a candle to stick in the tiramisu!
Delighted we booked the Hawthorn for our stay in Haworth. Exceptional reviews prompted our choice and we can vouch they are deservedly given. We were welcomed, along with our dog, on a very wet Friday evening. Everything was perfect. The efficient, friendly service; lively atmosphere and delicious food made for a gorgeous experience. Thank you for a lovely evening! Xx
I used to be a massive fan of Lucky Fox but the place has gone downhill since under new management. I've tried to get my hands on some of the famous fried chicken 4 times this year and it's always closed despite going when it should be open. The staff clearly don't care about opening times. And if the opening times have changed, management should update the sign on the door. Such a shame that a Sheffield establishment is being run into the ground.
