Gracias. Volveremos.
Probably my fourth dinner at Voujon: usually with wife and friends but on my own tonight. Enjoyable meal as always. The service is good, the ambience nice and the food is tasty and plentiful. There's all the usual 'Indian' food but also plenty of unique and innovative dishes, some of which I tried tonight. Not sure what I ate but it was delicious, I'm stuffed and my pocket will survive the experience!
We were greeted with a very warm welcome . Great choice of menu. We had a wait but it was clear, when our food arrived, that it was because everything was freshly prepared from really fresh, good quality ingredients. Strangely, given the excellent food, it was very quiet. People need to get in there & try the wonderful food , then, the atmosphere will be so much better. We shall certainly return & will be recommending to friends and family.
Such a great atmosphere.
Came for lunch with two friends. Menu was brilliant, with some great choices to choose from.
Front of house staff were extremely friendly, very attentive to detail, explained where we could find the menus on the boards on the wall, what was on each dish, and they suggested some of their best sellers.
Two of us had the pork belly sandwich which came with the most succulent piece of pork crackling and the other had the roasted portabello mushrooms, which tasted Devine!
The chefs were happy chaps too, from greeting customers, to singing in the kitchen along to the music playing.
Ruby was on the coffee machine and I could not fault her pumpkin spiced latte! One of the best I have had! Thank you very much!
My wife and I went there to celebrate her birthday. The welcome was good and so was the atmosphere. The food was excellent and until then we enjoyed our visit. The turnaround came when the waitress, who until then was attentive and competent, told us that we had overstayed our time slot and basically she told us to leave now. This totally spoiled the experience for us and we will certainly never ever return to this place again. You don't go to Le Caveau just for the food but the experience, well until now.

So, we know this place and the food is very good, so much so that we booked a table eight weeks in advance for a table for two at 8.30 on a Saturday evening, the diary was brought to the table and we were the first in. I did change the booking three weeks before to a table for four… no problem! 3.42pm on day of booking called to confirm our table at 18.30 and when I pointed out it was actually 20.30 and I saw them write it in the diary the response was “I will try and change things round but as it stands we are fully booked”
Called me back and unable to provide the table we had booked. I accept that there may be an element of human error but this is quite simply not acceptable when we had guests who we had recommended this restaurant to with us. Where do you find a nice Italian at such short notice? Then at 1940 receive a call from the restaurant to say that they can now fit us in straight away! Not good enough, lost our business and absolute lack of confidence meaning we most certainly will not return
Genuinely the best smashed avocado I've ever had. I mean look at it... And trust me, it tasted even better than it looked! I was starting in the area for the weekend and looking for a nice healthy breakfast on a Sunday morning, something that's not ready to give where I live. After googling I have this a go and wasn't disappointed. They have a great selection of teas, coffees, and pastries, all topped off with a vibrant, fresh, and healthy menu, perfect for brunch. The only disappointment is that it isn't closer to my home!
Not from the area so had to rely on Google for recommendations and Bengal Lounge came up as the best curry house. Wow it did not disappoint. We had the seekh kebab and mixed starters. I then had the chicken Saagwala and my other half took a chance on one of the 'mad chef' specials no 4, pilau rice, special naan and peshwari naan. Food was fresh and tasty, great portions. Plenty of flavour and spice. Great service from Syed and Sid, made for a fantastic evening. Would call again and highly recommend
