Lovely little coffee shop out of town and close to Hyde Park. We enjoyed our Americanos which had a lovely liquorice element to the flavour of the bean and our cinnamon whirl pastry was delicious and extremely large :). A nice change to our usual spot in town. Will pop in again if passing.

I startled the staff with my seemingly strange order. “Could I have a Freddo Cappuccino”, I asked. Their response, “it’s not on the board, but we can try to make it for you”. How good is that for customer service? The resultant cold coffee based drink was above and beyond my expectations. What the barista at Coffee on the Crescent has created was indeed new. More an iced-whipped-flat-white than a standard Freddo Cappuccino. It looked sophisticated in a small glass and tasted beautiful. Coffee on The Crescent has so much merchandise to browse. It’s almost bordering on a trinket store. It’s a bright sociable place. A great meet up location for groups post park run or cycle ride. It has that “fit as a butcher’s dog” vibe.

The bright windows and positive energy draws you in and the warmth of the staff then hits you. The hot weather meant we opted for our first iced drink from Coffee on the Creasant.....wow! That really hit the spot, the perfect summer drink. No food this time, it looked appealing but birthday cake is waiting at home! Thanks Tim and the rest of the Team.

This is the best cafe in Leeds. The coffee tastes great, even the milk in the late is better than most cafes and tastes creamy. Dessets are also excellent, and not too sweet. Only downside is that it’s small for the demand on weekends, but that’s the price of success I guess.

New cafe in Hyde Park. Fronts right on to the A660 and has outside seating. They have a limited range of (very good) cakes. The coffee is very good and the food I tried was great. I'd recommend a visit. Update September 2022 - still a popular place, lots of choice. Licensed as well. Recommended. Update October 2023 - busy little cafe right on the road at Hyde Park junction. Outside seating in the grassed area next door. Very good coffees. Plenty of choice for food, hot and cold. Updated March 2024 - good coffee, nice cakes and pastries. Full agreement with the ban on laptops - too many cafes are hogged by the laptop girls...

This cafe is close to Hyde Park Corner, and faces the park. The airy interior gets plenty of light, but can be a little cold in the winter months (both in the morning, and afternoon). They do provide some blankets I understand. As well as drinks, they sell a range of cakes and pastries, including some vegan options. They are rather pricey, but probably no more than other similar cafes. Payment is by card only unfortunately. I have probably been here no more than a dozen times, in total. Sadly, I have mostly regretted coming here, as opposed to one of the other nearby cafes. Tim, the owner, kindly responded to my previous review, so I wanted to give them another chance, but I'm afraid I haven't been anymore impressed. I had a nice vegan sausage roll here once, but have found the vegan cakes too sweet. I never feel very comfortable sitting here, it can be cold, and the music choices often remind me of elevator music. Service is generally friendly, but perfunctory. Holding staff meetings in the cafe is undoubtedly a bad idea. The toilets are difficult to access, to the extent I avoid going. Tim says that his next cafe will have disabled toilets. On my last visit, I didn't find the service very good. I purchased a small glass of rather pale, heavily iced, orange juice, which cost £3.50, and a hastily-made Latte, which was £3.20, and came lukewarm. I generally take my coffee black, and have not previously had a problem. I shall look out for CotC2, and wish them well, but I'm afraid this is it for me. I only visit every couple of months, so I dare say they can manage fine without my custom.

A nice cafe with good coffee, atmosphere and service, but couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by the portion sizes given the price. For £7.95 you only get one slice of toast with some hummus, cucumber, olives and pepper. If these portion sizes were increased, the asking price would be more justified.

Ordered a coffee which was really tasty however it was noticeably under filled in the cup, not that I expect it to be filled to the brim but there was a big gap missing - I ordered it for take away and when I took the lid off to put sugar in I saw. My partner also ordered an iced matcha which unfortunately wasn’t mixed properly, with clumps of matcha powder in it. Besides that the service was slightly disappointing. The person who took our order barely spoke two words to us, seemed slightly annoyed and exchanged none of the polite pleasantries. Why would you not say anything after someone has wished you a good day? Maybe this was just our experience on the off chance as it seems you have plenty of good reviews but still disappointing.

We timed it well, just before the Easter close down and found seats at the back after a warm greeting from the staff. Everyone was very busy ahead of their holidays but this didn't impact on the brilliant service. We spent some time looking at the new art and plants before choosing sweet treats and drinks. There wasn't enough batch brew left unfortunately but I was kindly given what was left just so I could try it. Drinks and cakes all gone and puppy enjoyed her biscuit so we all ventured back into Hyde Park to enjoy the sunshine.
