Great pub to go for a great atmosphere , good food and really friendly staff would definitely recommend

Cenamos carne asada y nuestro marido comió lomo de cerdo asado. Tuve un budín extra de yorkshire porque no soy un amante de la verdura y sus yorkies son para morirse. El personal era muy amable y todos sonrientes y nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos. Recomiendo probar este lugar encantador ya que no te decepcionará. un pequeño asado que es más grande de lo que esperas es solo £ 8. 95 y bien vale la pena.

Intentamos comer aquí hace 2 semanas, pero estaba muy ocupado. Así que esta vez reservamos y ahora sabemos por qué tuvimos que hacerlo. El restaurante es pequeño y lleno de gente, muchos disfrutando del "Especial Senior". Elegimos del menú principal, tuvimos que esperar bastante tiempo, pero la comida era muy buena y claramente cocinado en casa. Yo tenía fish & chips, la esposa tenía gammon. Buenas porciones e ingredientes de calidad. El personal es genial, sirviendo con una sonrisa! Muy recomendable! Buena idea reservar.

We had the most fantastic meal here. My daughter is coeliac..75% of the menu is available gluten free. Gluten free garlic bread was beautiful. Gluten free hot chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. Gluten free burger with bacon, onion rings and chips. Starter,main ,dessert and coffee all gorgeous. Would highly recommend. Very well priced menu and excellent customer service. Very friendly. Well worth a visit .

Absolutely brilliant. The service and food fantastic. The price was exceedingly good. A gem in Yorkshire. My only feeble irritation, was the fact that the food was in a great volume 😏. Score 10/10

Had a great lunch in a wonderful atmosphere and pleasant pub. The haddock battered coujons and salad were delicious the best I have ever had. My daughter loved her shepherd's pie too. My husband had the three course seniors special and enjoyed his choice of yorkshire pudding..fish cake and chips..sticky toffee pudding. Exceptional value. Great food. Will come again for sure.

4/1/25 , We have just had an excellent night of service and food . We were a party of 14 and the service was quick and efficient and good value . The two girls who looked after our tables Ashley and I think it was Lottie were great. sorry if I have a wrong name but you will know who you are. Thankyou and we shall be back.

I was not a fan, the food is hearty enough, but for me bland and just pub grub. I am sure others would find it nice, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Comemos aquí un par de veces y la comida siempre es deliciosa. Especialmente disfrutar del panang curry. El personal es muy amable también. Los asientos podrían ser más cómodos, es decir, cojines de silla. Tuvimos un par de sillas crujientes en el pasado, pero no nos dejó de visitar de nuevo. Recomendado.

The Spotted Cow offers delicious food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are lovely and make you feel right at home. The only downside is that the beers are a bit on the expensive side. Overall, a great place to visit for a meal and a friendly vibe!

Great little find. Fantastic food. We had the cottage pie, pork chops and beef and ale pie. All the were delicious. Portions were very generous as well. Will definitely be back.

As a visitor, this is a lovely pub, great pint of guinness. But if you're not a regular it's not very welcoming, not by the staff but the customers in it. I felt like iam walking into the pub in An American werewolf in London!!!!

Having just moved to Drighlington the family and I thought we'd try dinner here. The staff were really friendly giving recommendations and 2 of us went for the steak and Guinness pie which was absolutely delicious and very filling. My son went for the burger which he said was one of the best he'd had. Will 💯 be back for more of meals. Also recommend for just drinks with a good range of beers and spirits.

Our local. Great beer, top food and friendly staff. Never had a bad meal there. They do a lot for charity too. Eat there once a fortnight. Love the place.

Had a lovely meal with friends that had come from overseas. We all enjoyed our meals and one of the girls still tells me that in all the places they had eaten on their Europe trip the meal they had here was the best ! Will definitely visit again. They have a great seniors menu which my mum loves.

Had a lovely lunch. Haddock sandwich and pulled pork. Really reasonably priced. Fresh, huge portions and super friendly staff.

Called on Wednesday for lunch. Food was excellent, piping hot every course and fresh and tasty food. The chocolate orange sponge was as light as a feather and tasted great. All staff were friendly and efficient. Very reasonably priced aswell. Will definitely be back and highly recommend to others.

I was on the lookout for a pub with good quality food and I have finally found it! Every time I have visited the food is spot on - I am gluten free and it’s nice to have choice! Also - the cheesecake is SO good! All the staff are super friendly too

Easy to book a table and amazing customer service. Even though it was busy staff could not do enough with the speedy service of food and drinks ! Found out about quiz nights so will be coming back next week for this !

Been trying to get through via phone for 2 days now, 8 tries Monday and 6 tries Tuesday all at different times to book a table. Given up now as I've been told by others that they are lazy and not very customer service. I will never know

Good boozer, good atmosphere but there's only 2 telly's and people love standing in the way when you're trying to watch the game.

Excellent Sunday Dinner ,good value and quality for the money.

Went in for only a drink.. There were live music and atmosphere was quite good. But I sat on the other side of the pub which was quieter so I could have a nice drink and chat with my friend.

We called in around 5 pm on Wednesday 10th July. It was the evening of the semi-final match between England and Nederlands. It was busy!!! We were ushered into the dining room and served promptly by two very organised and lovely waitresses. The locals were having fun and the atmosphere was great. The food arrived and it was delicious. So beautifully cooked and served. All homemade. We have told all our friends how great this place is and are returning with friends in the next couple of weeks. The chef Colin is talented and places like this are hard to find. We just called in for the first time, but it won't be the last!

I had a wonderful meal with my friends. We often meet up for a meal. This was the best place we have been to.

Great stop before watching football stopped with my daughter for tea very welcoming had great meal steak and Guinness pie was top notch great portions but most of all quality and even extra pot of gravy without asked love it , I will definitely call again

The steak and Guinness pie was amazing. Best I've had, ever. Friendly staff who have good advice on meals and portions, rather than trying to sell us more, have advice on how much to order so that we enjoyed the meal, rather than leave a load of leftovers. Quality service. They serve neck oil too, which is always a bonus.

Excellent in terms of GF starters, main and the most important for my coeliac wife..... Pudding. Her choice was Bailey's cheesecake which I am informed was amazing. Staff had good awareness of GF, any doubts were cleared by the chef. Our 9 year old granddaughter is coeliac and adores the chicken goujons. GF peroni available This is our third visit and will not be our last. So pleasing to go to a restaurant and relax safe in the knowledge the family will not be glutened.

Friendly and homely pub with excellent food.

Had a delicious lunch of Cajun chicken, homemade fat chips and salad. The chicken was really moist and had the right amount of spices. Homemade fat chips were scrumptious too. Olivia & Will were very welcoming and served up promptly with both our drinks and food! The menu is varied and all food is homemade too.

We love the spotted cow The staff Lottie and Jess work so hard. We have been again today for lunch. Wednesday 3rd july.They were run off there feet. Kept calm and so polite. Food excellent as usual. The only thing I observed was the young manageress who came in rather being a jobs worth instead of leaving the staff to get on with what they do best.... Other customers noticed. Sorry young lady. Not needed.

Had a fantastic meal tonight, and had amazing service, specifically by Lotty. This is the first time i’ve eaten here but will definitely be returning! Proper home cooked food for a great price. Dog friendly too which is amazing.

We try to call on a Sunday when we have time .without a doubt the Best Sunday lunch in Leeds. The two main ladies that run it all are so friendly and welcoming. Sorry I don't have their names.one is tall with dark hair and the other is shorter with blonde hair 100% lovely people. Highly recommend you will not be disappointed 👌

Just had a meal with friends. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food was all home cooked and very tasty. Our waitress was Lotty and she was fab! Helpful, always on hand but not intrusive. Overall a lovely evening in a great atmosphere

Waited 70 minutes for food. People who followed us in were served food before us and complaining didn't help. Some of the food was cold and we were about to leave when it eventually hit the table. Wish we had left never ever been treated like that anywhere could not believe it.

Friendly staff, most of the food was nice but avoid the tiny, orange, dried up peppercorn chicken - can’t believe the cook let it leave the kitchen.

We travelled up from the isle of wight for a family party on Friday night and on Saturday had the pleasure of eating at this fantastic pub,all 8 meals were absolutely brilliant the pie was amazing, atmosphere lovely and staff so friendly, special thank you to Lotty,excellent service we will definitely be back thank you for a fantastic evening.

Traditional small pub with a small restaurant. But really performs like a big hitter! Some larger pubs can be noisy and impersonal,not this one though. No music making everyone talk louder to be heard, so the noise level was perfect. As for the food..traditional pub favourites, huge portions, totally tasty and served beautifully. Price? Two courses cost us £20 per head..so great value for money. Finally, the staff were very friendly and even had some banter. Will be coming back!

Arrived as a walk in booking in hope they'd have availability for my partner and myself, and they did. We've driven past the Spotted Cow on numerous occasions and we've both said we need to try it. Home cooked grub (the pie was filled to the brim with meat) friendly, attentive staff and quick service. Dog friendly in the bar area as well.

Can't recommend this place enough. Really accommodating even though we didn't have a booking and the endless gluten free options meant my daughter could have chicken goujons in a restaurant for the first time since being diagnosed coeliac. This place is brilliant. The waiter last night was on form, good banter, recommended dishes and was so helpful. Second time we've been, brought another friend this time. The steak pie is gorgeous. I was so full so couldn't manage a pudding 😫. Will keep coming back again and again .

Have been here before a long time ago & think it used to be better. The chips were terrible, soggy & very very greasy. Peas must have been cheapest you can buy. Will definitely not be returning as there are many places which charge the same & food is much better quality

Best pub grub Ive ever had . The beef baguette was beautiful with gravy and the most amazing homemade chunky chips . It was a large party of 20 of us from South Wales boxing club and we were all very happy with the food and the staff were patient and accommodating. See u next year 😋😋😋

Top notch pub grub.. only negs are, no steak offering and the restaurant side is a bit small but the food is amazing! Service is great too. Young lad there is brilliant..

Delicious food at reasonable prices and friendly staff. Been a few times and will return. Just one occasion when we were left waiting to be seated and ignored really. Would have only taken a second to acknowledge us but think they were short staffed that day.

Went for Sunday lunch got the large pork dinner. Came with pork loin large Yorkshire mash and roasties and gravy. Veg came out in a small dish to share tbh I love my veg and this could have been bigger. Food was lovely even though one of my roasties was hard. But overall well worth a visit. Great service very busy.

I can't believe I've slept on this place for so long. Came for lunch with my grandma and cousin, on my grandma's recommendation. Standard pub sort of menu, loads of gluten free/available GF options, massive portions, and of course it was tasty. The two ladies serving us were so kind and friendly, it seems as if they really enjoy their jobs which is wonderful to see. Even though they were busy, they spotted my grandma's limited mobility and helped her take a shortcut to the car park. They made us feel really valued. Will definitely be a regular haunt from us in the future.
