Popped in for a coffee. Coffee was made nice, and they were using Dark Woods Coffee Roast which is a popular local roaster. The only thing I wasn’t so keen on was the help your self blocks of sugar, these take so long to melt and stir into your drink. Other than that great.

Dropped in for corree and a mid norning bite to eat. Blown away by the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. If I lived in Leeds this would be a regular haunt. Tucked away on the canalside it is not immediatrly obvious to the passer by .... Good things come in small packages, as my gran used to say. Dog friendly and popular. They even gave my mutt a bowl of water unbidden. Lovely atmosphere. A great if accidental find!

Love it here! They make thee best coffees!! Smoothies are sooo nice too, it makes it hard to decide what to order! Go for the tropical one if its a rough hangover Sunday ;) even the iced coffees are amazing! the staff are so lovely and friendly! The brownies and blondies are the best I’ve had! Infact all the sweet treats are good. Not so keen on the toasties here, the bread was slapped together and not enough cheese to make it stick so was pretty much a poorly made sandwich. Maybe that was an off-day! Overall a nice little spot for coffee.

Out Of The Woods is a lovely little independent coffee shop. It is a little more expensive than other coffee shops in the area but the flavour of the coffee more than makes up for it. (It’s also in the centre of Leeds so prices are justified.) A regular latte is £3.00 - 50p for a large I believe. I think you’re missing a trick by not having branded takeaway cups. I know this would increase cost but thought it would be worth mentioning! Thanks for an amazing coffee! A solid 5/5 star. ⭐️

The only thing that isn't perfect about this place is that they don't stay open enough. Everything else is fantastic. The food is of an excellent quality and the staff are knowledgeable and caring about their raw ingredients. They are also creative and very positive. The coffee is fantastic. Why on earth aren't they open on sundays? So weird. Apart from that - oh yeah one other thing, no coat hooks anywhere, but you know, it says a lot about the place that you have to scrape that low to find a negative- I love it. Its pricey in a way, but you don't care because its worth it.

I quite liked it here, first visit. We were the only ones and felt a tad conscious of that with it being so small. We had cycled from Saltaire to Leeds along the Leeds Liverpool canal. I'd called into this cafe a number of years ago and thought it'd be good to return. We arrived at 2pm on a Saturday - we ordered 2 lattes and 2 pieces of cake. The staff asked if we wanted our coffees in takeaway cups because they were closing in 30 minutes at 2.30pm. The staff wasn't short or rude with us it was asked in a genuine way - they didn't want to rush our break. The coffees were lovely - the strength of coffee could be tasted easily (almost strong for a latte which we like). The cakes were vry good too. I would recommend using the cafe it is clean, modern and tables & chairs inside and out make it suitable for all weather's. The prices were ok too. If anything the early closing time is disappointing.

I was keen and excited about trying this new place. I checked their website and was looking forward on tying their menu. I arrived at 2:30 on friday afternoon. It is advertised on the website that they close at 4. As soon as we were getting comfortable, we were told they were closing down. Then were told we could only have one of the already made sandwiches that were wrapped in the stand. In a very impolite way, we were also told that they could 'maybe' still make drinks if we wanted. I asked at what time they were closing down, since I knew they were meant to close at 4, and was told they were closing just after 3. We left very disappointed of course. An example of false advertising.

I've walked passed this place so many times on the way to work but not had the chance to pop in. Anyway, at last, here I am! I've just got a cup of tea and sat doing some paperwork. The girl who works here is having a chat with a customer and is really pleasant and welcoming. She's also been making the sandwiches for the day for the shop to sell. I think that's great! She was telling one customer that some of the cakes are made by one of the staff who studies or studied at a culinary school. There is a chocolate log shaped like a salami. Very cool! (the Granary Wharf) I had tweeted them before as my son is picky so I wanted to ensure they could cater. Arrived to a warm welcome and they asked if it was me from Twitter that morning & said hello to my son. They were very friendly. We had a tuna, cracked pepper & lemon sandwich, a cheese toastie, packet of Yorkshire crisps & a coffee, it came to just over £7 which for Leeds, I really don't think is bad. It was very fresh. There's only a couple of tables inside but bar style seating round the edge and a couple of tables outside which is nice and there's a nice view of the canal. Would definitely go back!

There is a great range of cupcakes as well, with loads of differnet flavours. They are great value especially as they do deals for people wanting soup and a sandwich or a smoothie and a sandwich. I am a personal fan of their freshly made smoothies. It never gets boring either as they try different things recently stocking sushi and always have different gifts, all local to Leeds. I love the little cards they sell, a seed is enclosed to grow a flower, giving a bit of a different twist on a birthday card.I would recommend it to anyone who works/lives in the area or are just visiting as the staff are more than welcoming and if you aren't sure what to have they are great at recommending something or making something just for you.

What a lovely place Out of the Woods is. Not very old, and positioned just outside of the city centre, nestled amongst some of the more impressive buildings of Leeds' rich industrial past, this place is a right treat.Expect freshly prepared door-stop sandwiches, salads and hearty, warming soups here. It's a feeding ground for the local architects and design agencies. They also have a huge selection of fruity brews as well as spot on coffee. Go for a morning wake-up, a lunch time gobble or a mid-afternoon pick-me-up.The staff are all super smiley and friendly, in a genuine way. This is not a Starbucks. I eat at 'Out of the Woods' most week days. It's a great little cafe and smootie bar where you can eat in or takeaway. They have a vast choice of smoothies, sandwiches, salads, soups and sushi and other things that don't just start with an 's'! The best thing is that the food they use is generally all locally sourced, and they are happy to make you a sandwich that's not on the menu within reason.
