The Princess in Leeds

Great pub, I have lived near to the Princess for years and only recently discovered it. The atmosphere and the staff are both fantastic . Highly recommend.

Called in for a quick pint at the near end of a local walk . They have done a really great job of their refurbishment. It still smells of paint at the moment but when this goes the menu for food and wine looks very appealing for all . Will have to give it a go . Ps the pint was lovely

Absolutely fantastic Sunday roast. Great service and a lovely atmosphere. The veg was cooked to perfection and the meat was delicious.

This is a super pub near Rawdon roundabout and serves excellent food in a very friendly atmosphere. We have also been for Sunday Lunch which was first class and very reasonable. Well recommended.

Visited yesterday, I had the beef sandwich with fries and Mrs got fish butty, both absolutely brilliant and so fresh and tasty, good beer and the guy serving was very polite and cheerful, we will be back many thanks

Had an amazing and tasty roast lunch at The Princess in Rawdon yesterday. Gluten free Yorkshire puds and the nicest gravy I've tasted in a long while. Plate was absolutely full, three lots of veg and mashed potatoes as well as gloriously crispy roast potatoes. There was also a dish of roasted veg on the side! This will be our regular on a Sunday from now on 😋 Staff were extremely attentive and so nice. Excellent value for money. Cannot fault it.

We went for lunch and what a delightful experience. Super food and very pleasant Staff. So enjoyed it we went again for Sunday Lunch and not disappointed. Amazing value and so much food we could not finish it. Also a very pleasant decor and a traditional pub.

Sunday lunch not enough quiet poor value for money not enough meat on the plate also people on next table said there was not enough sorry to say personally won't be returning which is a shame also was not hot food

We were pleasantly surprised at the very attentive service from the bar staff. Nice surroundings and good atmosphere.

Just had a drink here but a lovely, friendly pub with friendly staff and a great variety of drinks served very well. I highly recommend the Guinness

Best pub in the locality , the manager is so accommodating and all the staff are so polite and professional. The food is incredible the atmosphere is fantastic , but also don’t come here because if we can’t get a table we will be annoyed !!! 😂

It's year's since we have eaten here,and a friend recommended to try again.We booked Sunday lunch on Easter Sunday and went for dinner.The interiors have changed but to me it's the same old design I love. The only reason I did not give the food a five,is the amount of meat on our plate could have been more.We ordered the beef and felt could have been more.Apart from this it was lovely. Especially the roast potatoes and homemade Yorkshire puddings.It will not put us off returning.

Came for husbands birthday and very Disappointed. We've been here twice before some time back and loved it but now it feels like standard's of slipped. Asked about non alcoholic drinks and was offered no selection. Ordered steak and ale pie. Meat was very grissly and the pastry which I believe was short crust but was harder than a stale Biscuit, when I mentioned this to the staff was informed been told this before but believe this is how it comes. Which I didn't accept but no apology or resolve or an offer at another product. Sad to say I won't be back.

This is no longer a traditional, English pub: it does not serve traditional bitter and offers mainly pale , lager , light beers dispensed by gas with no hand pumps. These are aimed at the younger generation and masquerade as real ale! On the rare occasions it is used it is noisy , lacking in atmosphere and it is to easy to hold a reasonable conversation. Some customers tend to shout. Not a cosy experience or one I can recommend.

Came here with the family for Mother’s Day. We all had a different meal and not one of us could fault it. Food was delicious, cooked fresh and served hot. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Luke and his team are fabulous. Well worth a visit and we will definitely be back

So lucky to be able to call this pub our local. Just had a wonderful Sunday lunch. Luke and his team are so enthusiastic and cheerful. Great atmosphere now, good background music and no complaints about the the food. Be sure to book as this place is becoming very popular.

Gorgeous food, great service. The chef even came out to check that we were happy with our food. Recommend the Chinese salt and pepper chips. Very nice.

This place has been through the mill over the last year or so but is now fully back to its very best . The revitalised team of old are back in place and their youth , service and overall professionalism is a pleasure to see. The food is also back to top notch , my brother and I had the steak pie and Princess burger a couple of weeks ago which were both excellent and well priced. We now have a repeat Sunday lunchtime booking !! Long May this little gem last and go from strength to strength 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻

We booked dinner at 8pm and enjoyed having drinks at the bar which was enjoyable in a really friendly environment. My wife and myself regularly have a drink in The Princess and decided to book dinner. This was a mistake as the food was awful and the service completely shambolic. Our nachos starter arrived after the main course was served. The manager then tried to justify the situation rather than simply apologise. The Princess is great for meeting for a drink but I would recommend not eating in this establishment.

Food ok. Had a problem with drunk loud people sitting next to us so did not finish food because of their behaviour. (Apparently regulars) Spoke to manager about the situation and she was very apologetic but we still paid for all our food and drinks despite having a dreadful experience. I understand that the management can't control these situations but I dont think it's acceptable to end up paying the full bill when we did not enjoy our experience. Will not be going back.

I don’t often leave reviews but this place deserves one ,great menu and the steak and ale pie was amazing along with the Haddock ,the staff where polite and chatty also the Princess as a great atmosphere,we had a great meal thank you ,we will be calling back ,

Excellent Christmas menu. This was truly amazing. Having attending many Christmas meals over many (ahem) years and so many disappointing ones. The princess truly excelled and provided a beautiful turkey dinner. I think it was definitely the best I’ve ever had. Lots of turkey including a Yorkshire pudding and so many vegetables. Red cabbage and carrot mash were my favourites. And the cabbage and cauliflower and broccoli. My work colleagues all thoroughly enjoyed their choices too. Very substantial sticky toffee pudding too. Lots of cleared plates. And the lady who served us was so friendly and welcoming. Well done team princess you really did us (and yourselves) proud

Since new owners took over this local bub with Luke appointed manager and new chef this is back to the standard it was 8 years and i found the standard of food excellent at a sensible price. Excellent selection of beers sprits and wine.

Called in for a quick meal, please we did. The staff were very welcoming & friendly. I had the Parmigiano which came with fries and a lovely side salad, I would highly recommend this if you like chicken & cheese. Daughter had 3 tasty sausages with mash & mushy peas which she loved. Great Food at reasonable prices, we will be returning

Good food and excellent service

Delicious roast beef with Yorkshire pudding Sunday dinner and fish and chips that we had yesterday. The portions were very good and the sticky toffee pudding with custard was also lovely. We’ll definitely be back.

Out dated prices on online menu, menu dirty.The cheese cake base needed a chisel to eat it but Sunday dinner was nice.

Had our first Sunday Lunch here! I had Garlic Thyme Mushrooms to start, these never disappoint! Steve had the Salt and Pepper chicken goujons, he loves them! Then the Nut Roast which came with Mashed and Roast Potatoes, Yorkshire and plenty of vegetables! Steve had beef, again he loved it. Oh and gravy! No room for pudding, I was stuffed! Thank you to the lady who kindly let us move to a different table, it was appreciated. And Bobby loved the attention too!

Great food, great atmosphere. A really good, friendly local pub. The food is always good quality. Nothing fancy, just what you want from a pub lunch or tea. You can't be on a diet here, so just enjoy and don't think about it. I did once ask for a salad which wasn't on the menu, but they made me anyway. It was lovely, but the chips are too good to miss out.

As a group of 4 ,we had Sunday lunch and we all agreed it was a really good standard,very enjoyable,great service and very happy overall. Would definitely recommend and will go again.

A lovely meal of really good food. Staff really care about the meals they are serving you. Small car park opposite the pub. Very dog friendly, with about 6 friendly dogs the night we were there, and not a woof spoken.

Called in for Sunday Lunch today as have not yet tried under new ownership and live locally. Was very impressed. It’s obvious that everything is cooked fresh and with generous portions too. The meat was ample (I had belly pork, husband Beef), great Yorkshires, roasties, stuffing and veggies. We ordered extra roasties because obvs. Roasties!! We were utterly stuffed so didn’t manage any other courses but the rest of the non-Sunday menu looks quite extensive and tasty. And it looks like they serve Sunday dinner until 7pm just in case you want it did your tea instead! Friendly staff too. Would very much recommend!

Called in here new years day, staff very friendly, had a nachos sharer which was very nice, would highly recommend eating here.

Disappointing visit for afternoon tea, menu states 2 sandwiches yet you only get 1 which was 1 ciabatta roll which had been cut in half. Tiny scones with tinned squirty cream which had disappeared into liquid by the time we came to eat them. Afternoon tea should be served with clotted or at least fresh cream. Frozen proffiteroles with bottled chocolate sauce thrown over them. Poor quality and quantity for £30 and left still hungry. Waited 45 minutes for cup of tea on arrival and over an hour for food. Did raise with manager Lee who basically said owners passed on their apologies.

The gentleman who was on service is always amazing. So friendly and helpful, even when it's busy. The food is always lovely and the we love the atmosphere and great you can bring your dog.

Great Sunday dinner all round! All 6 of us happy, we ordered beef, chicken and veggie sausages. Will definitely come again to try some things off the menu.

Stopped for a lunchtime snack and had the best burger I've ever had !!! American burger , 8oz pure beef with pulled pork 😋 it was huge and fantastic with the chunky chips

Nice atmospheric pub. Looks like there is no car park but thete is. Opposite side of the road, next to the garage. Had a piripiri burger which was very nice. They have Neck Oil too, one of my favourite beers 🙂

Turned up with the other half slightly worse for wear...super friendly staff..clean draft Guinness...starters were really fresh and tasty...burgers and steak pie insanely good...go here if you want a full tummy great ale and a very warm atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent service by the young barman, polite, Helpful & nothing too much trouble. The food unfortunately seemed to be straight from freezer to fryer & was therefore pretty average hence only 3 stars. Nice friendly pub, clean & good beer garden. I will go back, just not to eat.

Really nice little pub. A nice selection of beers with a couple of craft options. Nice staff. Sunday roast was really good, really nice taste, the meat was well done I’d generally like it more rare but was still really tasty. The 2 courses for £16 is decent value and more than enough food. Have upped to 5 stars after visiting again, the place is so welcoming and the staff really attentive. Lunch was great with the dog.

Haven’t eaten here for a long while and doubt I’ll return. Books table for two to eat and was shown to a table with comfy lounge chairs not suitable for eating. My wife ordered chicken which she enjoyed and I ordered the steak n ale pie. What a disappointment don’t get me wrong everything tasted fine the shortcrust pastry lid was beautiful but I only had 3 small pieces of steak in the pie .we finished went to pay and the bar staff asked me if all was good . I said to be honest what we ate was great but I only had 3 pieces of steak in the pie which his reply was “oh I’m sorry buts that’s the rub of the green .I’ll tell the chef” For £15 I’d expect more than an ale n pastry pie .

Called today for Sunday lunch, we didn’t have a reservation but the staff were very accommodating and sorted a table. We ordered our food and it arrived a short time after. Creamy garlic mushrooms to start and roast beef dinner, both piping hot and delicious, can highly recommend! Will definitely be back.

I ordered the duo meat (beef & pork) Sunday roast today, it came out - looked pretty good and pork tasted nice, greens & veg were overcooked and bland, but when i lifted up the yorkshire pudding to see where the beef was - there was no beef. I called over the young waitress, she went off to the chef and he sent her back saying he 100% put the beef on - I sent her back again showing her the same plate with just pork on and I commented to her, I'm not lying here. Off she went again and came back with the same retort. .I repeated, I don't like being called a liar. We decided to send the food back and leave and they still had the cheek to charge us which we paid because we didn't want to cause a scene.. What an utter disgrace. Out of common courtesy - keeping the customer happy is usually the main objectiveThis place needs to up their game on: Young staff no people skills, food quality questionable, get a new chef.

Well where to start? 1. Doggy friendly, water bowl provided! 2. Food delivered in hot plates (seldom get this in other pubs!) 3. Food hot, tasty and lots of it! Homemade too! 4. Lovely surroundings and warm as it’s cold outside! 5. Not last but friendly welcome from the young lady on duty! We will be back and can’t understand why it’s so quiet!
