We always look forward to dining at Home and Saturday night's visit was with friends we hadn't seen for a while, so was eagerly anticipated. We weren't disappointed! The welcome is second to none, and that feeling of being surrounded by friends who go to great lengths to make a memorable experience is exceptional. The food is delightful; from potato bread & truffled lardo butter, scallop ceviche with uzu gel, sweetcorn icecream with a chicken tuile, celeriac steak, sea bass & oyster leaf to seared rib-eye followed by strawberry desserts was mouthwateringly delicious! All were thoughtfully matched by an interesting wine flight & in the blink of an eye, it was time for cofee & a taxi!

We went here yesterday (12th July) and had the most wonderful evening. They were great first of all with accommodating us earlier as one of our party needed to catch a train. The service was impeccable, friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy or intrusive. The food was absolutely delicious, inventive and looked beautiful. Any questions were considered and they’d find out whatever they could (even down to the “where did the chairs come from?” It was a special graduation dinner for my daughter and she loved it. From explaining where the champagne came from and showing us detail we’d never know to naming a “spur of the moment cocktail creation” after my daughter after she asked for “something fruity?” Nothing was too much. It is a high end restaurant with great food but most importantly made you feel really welcome.

Cannot praise this place high enough. My friend and I visited wile our partners attended at concert at Leeds first direct arena. From first contact the staff were friendly, warm and welcoming. We arrived early and were served pre drinks at the very plush and luxurious bar. We were soon seated and again warmly welcomed. Then after little deliberation we chose the 10 course menu. Our minds were blown after every course not just by the service but by the attention to detail. Each course and wine pairing was served by a different member of staff whose knowledge and personality were exceptional. We have particular thanks to give to Daniel who went above and beyond to keep us entertained and informed on both wines included and insight and options to explore others. The atmosphere and decor were beautiful and impeccably clean. The open air viewing stations, so you could watch food being prepared were a pleasure to see and watch them at work. I could go on. Please try this please. How it’s not michelin star I don’t know. It’s a must do. Not a fault from us on this visit. And we will definitely be returning. Thank you.

If you want a brilliant memorable evening Home is the place to go. The staff are fantastic, the food a taste sensation and the ambiance relaxed and fun. Every dish on our 8 course menu was delicious - beautiful to look at and the flavours were sensational. The wines accompanying each course were spot on and explained in knowledgable and loving detail by Emily. She was so attentive and friendly as were all the staff serving us - they all made us feel so welcome and at ease. As for the chef and his team I can’t praise them enough on delivering to us such a faultless menu - special praise to Adam, Rees and Rob. The latter even shared the recipe for their really yummy lemon bread. We all came away feeling so happy and pleased with life - what better praise is there than that.

Absolutely stunning food which is all about the quality and balance of ingredients. This is not for show or theatre, just fantastic flavour. Something some starred restaurants could learn from. Every dish in the tasting menu was a winner. The service was impeccable, it did not feel supercfical or pretentious, just knowledgeable and genuinely engaged in us as customers. We also love the new setting, it is spacious and not cramped, just very relaxing. Can't wait to return.

TL;DR fabulous wine selection & excellent service. Less than average food served at much more than average prices. 2/12 dishes were inspired, measured takes on classics, evoking nostalgia with each bite. Multiple courses wholly inedible, pockets of pure salt interspersed within dishes. There was a reluctance to address/accept this by staff. Objectively someone had gone wild with the salt! There are a cohort of restaurants in Leeds with far better food for a fraction of the price and with a fraction of the salt!

Was not entirely sure what to expect. Appeared in the guide but no star - however as Leeds currently has no stared restaurants Home looked like the best option. The restaurant is dark and minimalist - the service very smooth and precise in all the best ways. We had the signature collection - I am sure the shorter version would have been good but this was a special night and so we sat back and enjoyed it. There was an email the day before inviting us to dine earlier as their bookings were earlier that evening and there may be more atmosphere earlier. This worried me for a moment, it need not have. We were the last table, but the service was impeccable and we did not for a moment feel we overstayed our welcome (even if we did!) So to the main business - the food. We ate from the winter menu 'stuck in the past'. This was a series of winter warming dishes. I opted to begin with the champagne and oysters - an extra £20 for a good glass of champagne and two delicious Lindesfarme oysters with caviar. The menu then takes you nine courses - a potato bread served with two butters. Canapés referencing an English breakfast in taste. Some very clever tastes refined into dishes - cheese and onion and liver, mash and onions. Each dish is clever and highly refined, as you would expect. None was a failure and some really stood out. What was particularly noticeable was the wine pairing - these were often unusual and very clever - they worked in beautiful harmony with the dishes. Not every course came with a glass - but I certainly did not feel it to be mean as I have in some places. I have always viewed wine pairing as a moment to learn - and I have gone away with two grape types and regions top learn more about! We asked for a cheeseboard as an extra which was instantly provided despite not being on the menu. We also asked for an extra drink - and gave a rough idea but asked for them to choose and surprise us. Two excellent choices later, and out far from outrageous prices, showed quality service and judgement. Being from out of town and without the children we asked where to go for a drink on the way home and good advice was offered. So overall - very memorable food doing clever things; superb and interesting wine pairings - fabulous service. You felt special and treated - which is why one goes. A quick note - the last two meals we have gone for have been in the guide but non stared and both have been a cut above many one star places for quality and interest in food - stars are not always worth chasing for quality and interest. Well done the team at Home.

We really enjoyed our experience at Home. The flavours packed into the small dishes were amazing. Home is clearly a destination with a menu designed to provide flavour and experience rather than volume/turnover. Our menu was based on retro dishes which provided a variety of intense flavours, texture and temperatures. My only advice for diners wanting the cheese course is to enquire about the details as it was not was not necessary what I was expecting - not a bad thing, just different. The explanation of the dishes was brief and succinct which is not always the case in such restaurants. The staff were he really a credit to the organisation - particularly Mustafa. The environment was relaxed with no pressured up-selling. Overall a lovely experience with astonishing flavours and great staff.

From the moment you enter the restaurant you are made to feel at ease. The decor is right up my street so I already felt like I was in a gothic yet minimalist paradise, and that was before the champagne started flowing! I won’t add spoilers for those who are going to visit as part of the experience was to be surprised and delighted by all that occurs. What I will say is your preconceptions about some foods will be challenged, and all of it is absolutely amazing. All 4 of us found ourselves speechless so many times throughout the courses, just able to say ‘oh my god’ from time to time. The staff are stellar and deserve every penny of the service charge. I was concerned we might still be peckish at the end knowing how small portions can be on a tasting menu, but not the case. All felt comfortable and satisfied at the end. If you can stretch to it, do opt for the wine pairing. The sommeliers knowledge and discussion of each wine and why it was chosen for each course is a really great addition, plus each wine was just obviously gorgeous. A truly lovely experience. Will save up and do it again!

Great from beginning to end. The restaurant was so helpful prior to our booking. Really went the extra mile. The Sunday lunch is a set tasting menu, which is different every week I believe. We had some wonderful creative dishes. Every one was a winner and would happily grace any Michelin starred restaurant table. We were on our way back from an overnight stay at a Michelin starred restaurant and the food here certainly equalled, or if not, surpassed it. The service was second to none. Even to the point of offering more ice when mine was melted. Very attentive, but from afar. Can't recommend it highly enough

We had an excellent meal this weekend at Home. We went for the 10 course menu with wines and it’s rare to have a paired glass for every course, it was exceptional. The food was creative and memorable and the wines were less obvious choices and small vineyards, some I’d never had anything like before. The staff were just great too, really knowledgeable and fun, it didn’t feel overly stuffy but at the same time we learnt a lot. Standout courses were the crab Kyiv and pork and desert. We dined here on November 10th Feedback was provided the following day. Compared to the last location it felt dark. Not possible to appreciate the interior when dining at 20:00. (A little more light would enhance the dining experience). Truffle was not possible to enjoy due to the way the bread was served it was a challenge to tear the bread away. Had to ask for a knife in addition of the spread knife. I was served Lardo with my scallop despite stating over the phone and upon arrival no pork! Lobster was great Duck fat was not rendered down enough! Desert was not pleasant, had an acrid taste. The seats were uncomfortable, it was cold confirmed by the couple on the next table the lady had to wear her coat throughout her meal. We discussed the selection of wines for the pairings which overall was a disappointment! Must add since the previous visit in November 2019 I can confirm the food is not of the same standard. Another wonderful experience at HOME. This time we tried their Autumnal Menu, another one of their alternative menus from their Signature. Being a lover of mushrooms, this was by far my favourite menu I’ve had at HOME to date. This time we opted for a delicious bottle of Macan Clasico by Rothschild and Vega Sicilia to enjoy alongside. With it being a school night, we decided against the wine pairing, which is always such a delight. We had a double celebratory event coming up in October a 30th Wedding anniversary and a 60th birthday. Given we had decided to do something special Home came up a serious contender for lunch being a party of eight. We had previously been to Home before its move to the current location and had not been disappointed. It also had good reviews and recommendations. To say it was crushingly disappointing is a bit of an understatement. Our table was booked for 13.00 on Saturday 28 October. We had arranged to meet our guests outside the venue for a pre luncheon drink where we could exchange gifts, cards etc in a convivial atmosphere. We arrived at 12.30. The gates to the venue were locked and on checking for alternative entrance there wasn't one. The weather was poor with drizzle and it was indeed very cold. We called the restaurant number to ask if we could go in given the situation. They refused saying that they do not open up until 15 minutes before the first table booking. The website indicated that the restaurant opened at 12noon. We took shelter in Sainsbury’s shopping doorway opposite until we saw them come out and open the gates. Hardly the best way for us to greet our guests or for the restaurant to greet us! Shocking lack of customer service and awareness. They really didn’t give a dam – one can be forgiven for thinking of total arrogance ! When we did go in there was scant apology just a cursory reminder that they do not open 15 minutes before their first table. My husband reminded them that website didn’t say that. They did not offer us a drink but sat us down at the table allocated. Whilst we are aware of tasting menu portions, we felt the portion sizes cynically small and did not compare whatsoever to previous tasting events we have attended before. The food was however well presented and flavorsome but it was not in our view on the meagre side. The staff were knowledgeable and polite and attentive. Would we recommend it ? Certainly not! Did we enjoy it? Not really. We felt utterly let down to say it was a major celebration both by the initial reception and attitude. Lets mention finally the cost. Charging £100 per head deposit whatever the menu you choose is a little steep in my view. Our menu was £80 per head. The final bill was in excess of £1300. They did deduct the cost of one bottle of Prosecco from the bill for the inconvenience we had waiting to enter the restaurant. The place itself is impersonable and has a stark cold feel. Definitely left there feeling angry, almost abused and if they were actually taking the mick!!! I think they are getting a bit lost on the arty farty side of things. Grantley Hall (Shaun Rankin) streets ahead and will go back there next time!

Not good. A poor imitation of 'fine dining'. It's as if the owner has worked out how to create the illusion of fine dining at the lowest possible cost to the owner. But some of us can see through it. You had all the usual things you expect from 'fine dining' - tasting menu, wine pairing, verbal descriptions of each course, attentive service... but look beneath this facade and, well... it was just not very good. I had a view of the 'open kitchen', if you can call it that. They had two young chaps assembling each dish and it was clear that almost everything was pre-prepared. They were just assembling the dishes. There was actually very little cooking going on. Given that most of the courses were cold, and everyone in the restaurant was having the tasting menu, it left me with the impression that what they were doing was not particularly skilled. Each pretentiously tiny morsel was presented poorly, did not look appetising and was not particularly nice to eat. At first, the restaurant itself looked pretty good. But on closer inspection, you can see it was a little shabby. The toilets, for example, had cheap fixtures and fittings and were just not as well maintained as I would expect. The service was good, and the staff all seemed very nice. Home is simply not worth anywhere near the £250 per head we spent. There are far better places to eat in Leeds.

My partner and I first went to HOME in May this year. Due to some personal circumstances and the odd menu, we had a good time but not one that lived up to the price tag charged. When we saw there was a Autumn menu focused on mushrooms and game, we were immediately interested and booked in. A bit hesitant, given Liz Cottam's ultra experimental approach and small portions but excited nonetheless. What a good decision that was. The staff here are as friendly as ever, helping with things you don't need any help with like folding your napkin when you go to the loo or pulling the sofa out for both, men and women! A rarity in places like this. We had a glass of champagne to start and a bottle of red between us. We didn't go for pairings this time after being told they weren't very standout for this particular menu. We greatly enjoyed the champagne and red wine and appreciated them keeping the bottle in the right conditions and only bringing it out for top ups as needed so it didn't warm. The place was about half full and the ambience was lovely. Dark woods, moody lighting and nice artwork scattered about. Now, the food was absolutely exceptional this time. The French morels with the champagne cream were a delight, there was a nice deep nutty flavour and the sauce was really great. We also enjoyed the cured trout with the well balanced compressed cucumber. As for the game, the pigeon was off the charts fantastic, served with a coffee sauce and salsify which really brought it all together. Fantastic. The duck and vension were marvellously cooked and the porcini ice cream was another level (though my partner wasn't keen and I happily ate it all up for her)! This menu was a great way of showing how well HOME can do food. I think if Liz stays away from the pretentious poetry and "strange" menu times, she has a winning restaurant here. We wouldn't hesitate to go again for another themed menu. It was another level and one I'll rave about for a while further.

Fantastic evening and tasting menu at Home tonight. The staff coordination is spotless and knowledge of the dishes & wines well rehearsed. They are still open to feedback & suggestions and reflective on previous iterations of the dish and previous pairings. They go the extra mile to research your interests and personality prior to your arrival to make the evening unique to you without feeling intrusive. The open kitchen is a treat to the eye and a testament to the precision of the dishes. You cannot hear a word or shout, yet everything that comes out is spotless. The tasting menu was close to perfect. The variety of dishes and risk-taking created a dynamic experience but the portion size was spot on. After close to 3 hours in the establishment and 10 courses, not once I felt the pace was wrong or was I full. Small portions yet packed with flavour and hard work = big delights. If you were hesitant, don’t. Book a table and go for the wine pairing that fits your budget. There are 3 different ones but the thought going into the pairing is the same regardless of price point. [Not sponsored - I just had a great time and the whole staff deserves the recognition. I hope you get your first Michelin ⭐️ very soon, that would be well deserved] The price is a bit steep but let’s hope it’s only in anticipation of future milestones, achievements and Michelin stars TL;DR When in Leeds, have dinner at Home

Food poisoning! We emailed and called after visiting to try out the Autumnal menu to say that both myself and my friend had been sick the entire following day. We don’t live together and that evening had met immediately outside the venue and went our separate ways immediately after - so there is absolutely no other reason we’d both have D&V. The email response went on about the standards they uphold and to be honest pretty much said we were lying as nobody else has had the same sickness. No apology or accountability. There were only 5 tables of 2 in the restaurant and the tables either side of us didn’t even have the same menu as us, so I’m not sure what they’re basing this on. I’m usually incredibly reluctant to leave bad reviews having previously owned a restaurant but I find the response from the team here absolutely shocking. We also thought the food was average at best, but perhaps we had bad luck with the autumn menu and the signature may be better. After how we were treated I not be returning to find out! Note: service is only a 3 as the FOH staff were lovely although didn’t once ask if we enjoyed each dish. The 3 stars is mainly the after service.

We've been regulars at Home since shortly after it opened & have always thoroughly enjoyed it. The new September menu "Stuck Somewhere Between" has got to be the most outstanding yet. It was a delight from beginning to end, making it difficult to pick out favourites but here goes: "Stranger Thing" - Langoustine with granny smith, jalapeno granita & yuzu, accompanied with a jalapeno infused vermouth, "Verve" - Artichoke ice cream & crisp with miso and the Passion fruit & ancho chili sorbet with violet crumb were simply stunning. Decided to book HOME after seeing the new tasting menu 'Stuck somewhere' advertised online, as my partner considers herself a 'foodie' and thought it would be nice to try something different. Wasn't sure what to expect as I haven't experienced 'fine dining' before, but I was pleasantly surprised! I expected to leave the tasting menu feeling hungry, out of my depth and like a fish out of water. I couldn't have been more wrong! The staff were so attentive and informative and made us feel so welcome, as if we'd been regulars for years. We opted for the wine flight to accompany the signature menu and were not disappointed! Every element of the food was to die for, and had flavours I'd never experienced. My favourite was the artichoke as I'm not usually a fan but they converted me with the artichoke ice cream! Some dishes came together and it made it really immersive and interesting. Very different from when we go to dinner usually and just wolf it down and get the bill. I would definitely book us both to come again and cant thank the staff enough for a truly memorable evening!

This is my second time here and the experience is always delightful. Went at lunch time and there were a few less dinners than in the evening, but still amazing food and wine.

Disappointing - expensive - soulless. Outstanding front of house staff but other than that and the decent wine paring which at £175 (hugely overpriced) each is to be expected little to recommend it. This is truly an example of emperors new clothes. The food was mediocre at best the most prominent taste in each course was salt. The desert was inedible. It’s such a shame as the original Home with its first class chef at the time was wonderful as was the atmospheric, charming location. Where they are now is cavernous, cold and totally lacking in any atmosphere. It’s telling that on a Saturday night it was not busy. In short this is a great concept gone wrong. The price point similar to Man behind the curtain is crazy, the food is no where near the same standard. The food at V&V - chef Jonno is far better and less the half the price. Won’t be back - greed has clearly become the motivations factor for the people behind this restaurant. Disappointed and cross / Michelin you need to review.

Not novices to the ever expanding bill after you book, we did the WHOLE tasting menu, wine pairing....2 people 800 quid. I can post a photo of the receipt if needed for the nay sayers. Enjoyed the night, staff were on board and we told them to say it again if rushed, They accommodated, Cost of going versus reward of having done it.. maybe why the Mich Star is still missing. The other huge question is, after having tasted your buds to death, drunk a lot of very nice wine, why did my friend suggest we go find somewhere to eat after............i agreed to a Maccy D's to fill up. £800 +15.

Don’t go hungry! My visit to HOME was a disappointment except for the front of house staff whom were lovely. Although, I have to say when we complained on the evening nothing was done to ameliorate the situation which having worked as a front of house manager I believe is unacceptable. Having visited Cora previously and having a wonderful experience of a tasting menu and wine pairing there I had high hopes, but unfortunately left extremely dissatisfied. Firstly, we paid for a 7 course taster menu of which we only received 6 courses. The first course was a single bread roll shared between two people with flavoured butters. The second was a tarragon sponge that was tasteless and a small piece of langoustine. This was the tastiest although tiniest morsel on the menu. Following that we had half a scallop - ceviche which was lacking flavour. Following this was a sweetcorn miso ice cream this was intriguing and a suitable palate cleanser and all in all the best whole dish. The venison course was pitiful, a generous 2 mouthfuls of meat alongside some purées and having looked over previous reviewers images a lot smaller than other serves, making me question if they had run out of venison. We paid extra for a cheese course, what arrived was mushy apple on top of soggy bottomed pastry that was lukewarm with blue cheese on top and a green apple ‘glass’ that was unpleasant to eat, offering no flavour but getting stuck in your teeth. The ice cream for dessert was tasteless and the cake was unmemorable. In addition to this I believe the wine pairing to be extremely stingy as compared with other tasting menus including Cora. I think the restaurant is unfortunately style over substance, all the dishes look amazing although very minimal, but unfortunately not everything delivered on flavour and lacked texture, which should be paramount. To charge £180 and have your guests leaving disappointed, hungry and having to make dinner when they get home is very poor. I wouldn’t recommend visiting HOME, it was a complete waste of money.

Thank you Daniel and team for providing such a wonderful dining experience, the food and wine pairing was a delight, offering such knowledge and creative skill with each course, we have had much debate over our favourite dishes, for my husband it was most certainly the venison and for me it would be "hen of the woods", mushroom with wagyu oil and truffle, once again, thank you for looking after us, we will certainly return and we have no doubt we will be amazed once more.

We discovered Home a week ago and were blown away by the staff and the service. Every single person working there showed real passion making the experience very enjoyable. We were treated to a complimentary fizz on arrival as I had mentionned it was our wedding anniversary. The food was delicious (No Fear our favorite which earned us complimentary seconds) and beautifully presented Loved it !

Why do you want to come here and treat yourself? This place is just a beautiful and delicious amalgamation of gastronomy and art. On arrival you will be received by a very warm and friendly member of the staff. They will guide you to your booked table and the experience starts: the staff will make you feel super comfortable since the moment you arrive. Everything beautifully explain and giving the right amount of information. You will have a big range of wines or if you don't drink alcohol (like me) they have different options too. The taster menu I had was an amalgamation of art and how it reflects on the food served. The chef is definitely very clever coming up with different ideas and taking them to what I called eating art. The shape of the food, the different blends of aromas and textures.. it is wonderful. What I loved about the experience was seing how the staff were orchestrated and how well they worked together to deliver a wonderful time for you! I loved knowing why a plate has a particular name, the story behind the selection of ingredients and to anybody I asked something particular - they knew it! LOVED that I managed to get some 'decent' pictures of some of the plates, but, they do not correspond 100% with reality.

We loved the art concept of the place and the staff was terrific. The food, unfortunately, was not up to par. Although tasty, the dishes were majorly lacking. We have been to well over 50 fine dining restaurants and never had bread or ice cream (in addition to dessert) as one of the five courses. This leaves you with really only two food dishes: a small dish that is the equivalent of one scallop and a plate of lentils. I'm a small woman with a small appetite but, needless to say, I left hungry and had to head to another restaurant directly after to grab a bite to eat. Sad... 60 pounds per person to wind up eating dinner for 10 pounds at a nearby burger joint. I hope Home improves their menu. Otherwise, head to The Man Behind The Curtain which has a similar art concept but a much more robust tasting menu.

Had the 12 course signature MASK tasting menu. Food was very good but only consisted of 10 courses not the advertised 12, apparently some of the courses had been merged but for the price it did feel a bit like being shortchanged. Otherwise great food and attentive service.

My partner and I went to HOME back in 2020 and had a very memorable evening, but sorry to say that if you're paying over £200 a head for a tasting menu and a wine flight, it needs to be close to perfection. Sadly this wasn't. The tempura langoustine starter was the tastiest thing on the menu, but the fish and meat courses just seemed unimaginative. Venison with three smears of purées was crying out for some texture, as was the snapper with pandan and curry salt which promised crispy skin and delivered mealy, flabby fish. Service was inconsistent and lost the magic of the initial venue. Everything felt very style over substance and (I dislike saying this) pretentious. We've paid the same amount for truly memorable meals, but felt pretty ripped off. I won't be returning.
