Fabulous tasty food, service was amazing even though it was very busy, always someone there to check when we wanted more food/drink, all waiters were happy which was nice to see!
Went for a late lunch on Sunday.
I'll keep it short. If there's a better steak to be had in York, I've yet to find it. It's not, of course, the cheapest, you get what you pay for.
Looking for somewhere dog friendly in Masham and found this gem. Fantastic staff and location. From the moment we walked in the door the staff were both attentive and friendly to both us and our two dogs. They were also very knowledgeable and accommodating of my dietary requirements.
Loved the banter with Gaye, Chris and Jo, highly recommended and can't wait to see you in June.

Sunday evening meal for four as part of an impromptu get-together; no firm plans for food but Harvey's was suggested and we were all happy with the choice. Good selection of food and drinks, decent prices, good quality food in good portions (not much left and no-one still hungry, just about right)! Topped off by great cheerful and friendly service from Tilda. Well done Harvey's, we'll be back :-)
What a lovely place , the tearoom staff and the owner are amazing and so friendly. With a vintage eclectic theme and beautiful china this place is like something out of Alice in wonderland meets Diagon Alley with such a cozy vibe. The food is fresh and lovely and the staff came around with tasters of Victoria sponge whilst we enjoyed our food . Will definitely return to this place such a relaxing experience thankyou !
A cold and wet day in Scarborough was brightened by our visit to the lifeboat fish bar, we chose to eat out despite the weather as eating fish and chips out of the paper is the best, staff were chatty and very friendly and polite, the haddock was cooked to order and so was piping hot, the chips cooked to perfection, only fish shop we will ever use in Scarborough because I don’t believe you can get better
I have heard a lot about Corarima and thought it was about time to try it for myself. Warm welcome from the owners and made to feel very comfortable from the start. The restaurant is cosy and spotlessly clean with a minimal feel despite plenty of traditional Ethiopian and Eritrean decorations around the room. It really is very nice.
Having never tried food from this part of the world, we decided to put our trust in the chef and ordered a sharing dish for three with a starter of hummus (made in house), flatbread made from chickpea flour and potato wedges spiced with berbere. All incredibly delicious and the softness of the flatbread was a welcome change from pitta.
The main arrived with some theatre, presented on a slate with a selection of main dishes spooned on top of a large piece of injera, a flatbread made from teff flour - a grain native to Ethiopia and Eritrea. Encouraged to eat using the injera to scoop up the vegetable based dishes in front of us. Everything was beautifully flavoured with numerous spices (in some dishes as many 18).
The meal was completed with a pot of coffee, poured for us from a beautiful jebena into tiny decorated cups. The flavour of the coffee was intense with the beans roasted and ground in house before being flavoured with ginger, cardamom, anise and presumably various other spices. The saltiness of the popcorn, traditionally served with coffee in Ethiopia, really added something to the coffee.
Wonderful restaurant, lovely warm and hospitable hosts and exceptionally flavoursome food. It was a pleasure to be served a meal which came with a little insight into the traditions and culture of what I am sure is a fascinating country.
Looking forward to returning to try more dishes.
Spent a lovely weekend here , room amazing and facilities great .
Breakfast was huge and gorgeous .
Staff friendly and even managed to find a ring and return it to me , I can’t praise this place enough .
It’s an absolute gem .
Stumbled across falafel guys searching for a decent lunch in the area. Really friendly staff and absolutely delicious food, a proper gem and I’ll 100% be back
We called in for a late lunch and were lucky enough to get a table straight away. There was a warm welcoming atmosphere and staff were friendly and efficient. We ordered a selection of tapas which were all excellent and portion sizes were just right. Good value for money and would highly recommend.
The landlady is rude and very obnoxious.
She is obviously in the wrong job.
I've been here twice now and both times the service was non existent and the landlady was rude and sarcastic
If she can talk to customers like this then I dread to think how she treats her poor staff.
No wonder the wonderful chef is leaving.
If the landlady doesnt change her attitude I doubt very much she will have a buisness left by the end of the year..we spent nearly £800 on Christmas day alone and to be treated the way she treat myself and my family is a disgrace.I've noticed since writing my orginal review she has obviously gotten friends to write reviews praising her lol. Well time will tell when other people start reviewing this pub
We wont be returning
