I recently visited at Volare, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the warm and friendly staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of.
The tapas selection was fantastic, with a great variety of fresh and flavourful dishes. Each plate was beautifully presented, and the flavours were spot on.
Amazing value for the quality of food and service. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable.
The service here is amazing, super helpful and friendly and I can highly recommend the Yorkshire Fatties. We bought some last year on our holiday to Whitby, we have been back this week on holiday and have bought some more. I pre-ordered 8 to bring home too 🙂 I would highly recommend you visit if you are in Whitby.
Oh wow! This place hits the spot in so so many ways! The service is brilliant (all the staff are super friendly, attentive and efficient) and the food is great. You might have to queue to get a table (we didn’t as we arrived fairly early) but the wait is well worth it. I had the avocado on sourdough bread (topped mine with two poached eggs) and it was fabulous-the kids had pancake stacks….light and fluffy with the best ever berries, and the son and his OH had the eggs Royale which they usually have. Luckily we visit often from Whitby and I think this will be a regular thing. Can’t wait to try an evening session…… I have to say I’m glad to have found somewhere in York that does great food at reasonable prices as we have ditched Betty’s for good (overpriced and mediocre) and Robinson’s will be our “go to” place from now on.
Marco never fails to impress. I'm gluten free and he makes the best gluten free pizza that I've ever had. Decent sizes as well. Always a welcoming place! Thank you
we would highly recommend this place, very friendly service, delicious food, beautiful scenery, and a cool retreat from the heat. overall a very lovely and relaxing experience.
We had tea, coffee and scones and everything was excellent.
The owner was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The scones were the best I’ve had away from home, there was a generous amount of tea in the pot and the coffee was nice and hot. I would definitely visit again when next in Ripon.
Well. I'm 62 years old and been eating bacon sandwiches all my life. I have got to say that the Bacon and black pudding sandwich I had at this lovely little cafe was the best I have EVER had!! Ok it was £8 but the home made bread,3 rashers of dry cured back bacon and a nice slice of Doreen's black pudding was marvellous. My wife also had the most amazing gluten free chocolate torte. Staff were also very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be going back very soon .
Probably our 8th visit by now! The pizzas are always lovely, would especially recommend the spicy spinata, good selection of drinks including different flavoured lemonades, cocktails and beer on tap. Do miss the garlic bread though!
Went for lunch yesterday and first class experience. Staff are exemplary, efficient, friendly and professional service. Spotlessly clean and well maintained pub and the food just spot on.
As well as really good starters, we both had their famous scampi mains. If there is better scampi anywhere I would like to know! None of your frozen breadcrumbed stuff here just the real McCoy!
Have previously had other mains which are just as good.
Theakston’s draught Best Bitter really good too and at a very fair price too, unlike so many other gastro pubs.
A real gem on all counts.
There was a limited selection of drinks (no hot chocolate or bloody marys) and the food was not at its best but the chips were exceptional so i gave it 4 stars , the staff were kind and the countryside was beautiful. Thank you for the towels!
Afternoon tea here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Best afternoon tea we have had any where ! You get 2 hot meals , vegetarian option available, and a selection of Siritas wonderful cakes.
Their selection of loose leaf teas is unbeatable, with top ups available. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, the staff are wonderful! Afternoon tea is a must for any celebration or just treat yourself.
We visit here quite often from our home in co Durham, it's well worth the drive. Our favourite please to eat out.
We had Sunday lunch today and it was delicious, very tasty, the staff and environment are 1st class. I had beef and my husband had lamb, they also do vegetarian. I have been several times and it’s never let us down. Masham is a lovely place to visit and the station cake is the icing on the cake 👍 recommend 100%
Always a good stop. New owners have an excellent menu, beautifully prepared food including the infamous home made chips & local pies etc. our waitress was friendly & efficient. A lovely lunch, we will be back. Tina, Michael & Millie the Schnauzer
