Initial impressions were good as the food is excellent and we had a lovely selection of dishes. Our waitress was also friendly. However we were presented with the bill half way through the meal which was very disconcerting and spoilt the overall experience. We didn’t even bother asking if they do desserts as we felt they wanted us to leave (it wasn’t particularly late ). Also, other people’s conversations can be a little intrusive as it’s a small restaurant and needs more background music. Shame as the food is very enjoyable and it’s an attractive place to sit.

We were asked “Would you like some prawn crackers” when took our drinks order……we assumed they were free…….THEY ARE NOT £4 added for not very many at all, feeling really ripped off!! Every other restaurant would give them for free…especially when THEY offer them. Why offer them when we didn’t ask for them obviously to be deceptive and sneaky upsell? Then when I questioned the bill the waitress sniggered “no they’re not free”. Bad form! Leaves a bad taste in the mouth

I ordered a take out for 7.30 Did not arrive by then - still not arrived by 7,55 Rang several times Phones unanswered Finally got through - person was very rude (young girl) We are a very busy restaurant - order will be another 20 mins Good was fine and warm but not hot when it arrived Attitude of staff spoiled the experience Sorry

Ordered a takeaway for collection last night from this restaurant. My partner travelled out to pick up the food up and on arriving home and removing the lids we were very disappointed to find that they had given us the wrong order. I rang the restaurant to inform them what had happened however received no apology for this. We then had to ask for the correct order to be delivered instead of us having to travel out again as this was their error. With a lot of reluctance they agreed. When the driver arrived to our house he turned up empty handed and wanted the incorrect order back which had already been in our home, which really makes me question their hygiene given the current covid-19 pandemic. The driver was very ignorant and unhelpful. When I called back to the restaurant they said it was a different driver that had to bring our correct order back to us which we then had to wait a further 25 minutes for and on arriving the food was cold and had to be microwaved. It was also the same driver. After all this I had to ask on the phone for some form of compensation after what had happened, I would have like to think they would have offered it to us considering this was their error. Overall negative experience, will go else where in future.
