The best restaurants serving Thai food in Yorkshire and The Humber

We were asked “Would you like some prawn crackers” when took our drinks order……we assumed they were free…….THEY ARE NOT £4 added for not very many at all, feeling really ripped off!! Every other restaurant would give them for free…especially when THEY offer them. Why offer them when we didn’t ask for them obviously to be deceptive and sneaky upsell? Then when I questioned the bill the waitress sniggered “no they’re not free”. Bad form! Leaves a bad taste in the mouth

We had booked a table for the 27th December 2024 to celebrate my Husbands 66 birthday but the company who we booked through did not tell us that the Thia on Aire were only doing take aways and delivery. David who owns the Thia on Aire phoned us to let us know and bent over back wards to make sure we received our meal on time and I must say the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant/ Take away and Thank you again David x

Thai basil is a favourite of ours. They are always accommodating to our bookings. The food is always incredible, and the £12.50 lunch deal is great value for money!

A terrible lunch experience by stages. The decor of the restaurant is horrible, everything looks worn out and tacky. The manager pushed hard for us to have the buffet (we always avoid buffets because there’s no guarantee the food is fresh or safe) but we declined and ordered from a suspiciously long menu. When the food arrived it was substandard Thai and not very warm (possibly from the buffet, who can say?). Feeling ill in the evening I started with 2 days of diarrhoea. Maybe a coincidence but, if I were you, I wouldn’t risk it.

We were visiting Cleethorpes for a weekend away and fancied some Thai food for dinner. We stumbled across this restaurant as we walked into town and were so pleased with it. Friendly service, amazing food, and reasonable prices. Sadly, it was let down by being so cold - I could only see one radiator in the whole restaurant and kept my jacket on throughout.

An appealing, small restaurant in an excellent position near the pier with very good quality food and friendly service. Particularly good Tom soups. We will definitely revisit.

Ordered a takeaway for collection last night from this restaurant. My partner travelled out to pick up the food up and on arriving home and removing the lids we were very disappointed to find that they had given us the wrong order. I rang the restaurant to inform them what had happened however received no apology for this. We then had to ask for the correct order to be delivered instead of us having to travel out again as this was their error. With a lot of reluctance they agreed. When the driver arrived to our house he turned up empty handed and wanted the incorrect order back which had already been in our home, which really makes me question their hygiene given the current covid-19 pandemic. The driver was very ignorant and unhelpful. When I called back to the restaurant they said it was a different driver that had to bring our correct order back to us which we then had to wait a further 25 minutes for and on arriving the food was cold and had to be microwaved. It was also the same driver. After all this I had to ask on the phone for some form of compensation after what had happened, I would have like to think they would have offered it to us considering this was their error. Overall negative experience, will go else where in future.

Fantastic Thai, best in the business! The Pad Thai was great! I’d recommend it to anyone. ……………………..

Called in by chance and what a great find. Authentic dishes served piping hot and great friendly service too. Will definately be calling again. Excellent.

Anteriormente tuvimos comidas para llevar de este restaurante y decidimos visitar y comer temprano en una noche de semana. No habíamos reservado, pero recibimos una agradable bienvenida y nos dirigieron a una mesa vacante en la pequeña zona de la planta baja, donde ya había una serie de otros clientes. El menú tiene una amplia gama de opciones y satisface las necesidades dietéticas. El tamaño de la porción y la calidad de las comidas eran buenas y apoyadas con un servicio amable. Al pagar, la máquina de tarjetas presenta automáticamente una opción para agregar una propina.

Una pequeña joya escondida en Leeds. El personal es tan encantador y la comida es increíble. Recomiendo encarecidamente el martini de lichi que es posiblemente el mejor que he probado. Un montón de lugares tailandeses para elegir en Leeds, pero creo que este ha superado el resto.
