First, and probably last visit. Staff very friendly, starters excellent, but I had a chicken stir fry, which was impossible to eat. Two mouthfuls and my tongue and lips were stinging. It was so hot neither of us could eat it. There was no mention of this on the menu. It as as if I was ting a bowl of crushed chilliest.

We had a lovely meal here, authentically prepared, tasty Thai fish cakes to start as part of mixed starters. Spicy jungle curry for mains and massoman for my wife. Friendly hosts and a definite note for a return visit when we are next in Sowerby Bridge.

been here 6 times the food is excellent well cooked by Thai women In full view of the clients which is what i love a bit like Italian restaurants where they show you their kitchens if asked --nothing to hide. i usually have soup with chicken, prawns noodles and veg in a coconut sauce forgot name but really tasty but you need a bib so you don,t spill !! then weeping tiger sirloin steak grilled to your liking then sliced on mixed veg and sprouts ,wife fish cakes then Thai green curry with rice delicious wine beers never any more than 52.00 ps they do a sweet which is sticky rice with cinnamon and sliced fresh mango that is to die for .You don,t usually have to book and they do early bird also. Do try it it is excellent

We went to this Thai restaurant last weekend - My partner had previously never tried Thai food before, I was a little put off by the general decor and cafe like style of the place, but the food was sublime. We all had starters - mine was king prawn - yum! We all ended up with Thai red curry in various guises - king prawn, chicken, beef etc. Absolutely wonderful

The staff are wonderfully hospitable here and cooked the most authentic and delicious food. I love Thai food and this restaurant did not let me down. I will definitely be going back. My friend and I thought the food choices were excellent. If you are looking for somewhere genuine, atmospheric and yummy food. This is the place.

This place has been on my Sowerby Bridge restaurants to visit list for a while now. I finally called in tonight and what a delight it was. The staff was very attentive and given the huge range on the menu they were very patient waiting for our order. The food was cooked in view, it was fresh succulent, aromatic and fragrant with the south asian regional herbs. The classic singha bottled beer was just the ticket to wash down the meal. My only regret...? I didn't leave room enough to try their dessert menu! I can't wait to go back.

Myself and my partner visited the restaurant for a second time a couple of days ago. We like our Thai meals and we have a new favourite in the Halifax area. We find the price, service, meal portions and fresh taste. They do an early bird menu which is £10 for a starter and main course, often with these deals the portions are reduced but at Panan they still provide decent sized meals. I will be returning very soon.

Our family love it here, the service is friendly and they are always helpful and happy to customise dishes for us (we are veggie and one of my boys in gluten intolerant). It is always really good value and the food is really tasty. I prefer it to the other Thai places in Halifax. They also seem to have a few choices on the menu I haven't seen at other Thai places (as well as the favourites you would expect)Kitchen is open plan so you can see (and smell) the food being made. It's lovely.

We will definitely back to this restaurant. We came on a Saturday eve (not booked) to be greeted by friendly staff. We ordered a seafood platter to share as a starter with Thai fish cakes, dim sum and calamari. The food was fresh and bursting with flavour. Our main courses were a rendang curry and a duck salad served with rice. Both again were beautifully presented, packed with fresh herbs and spices and we didn't want the meal to end. I've heard people in the town mention there are long waiting times. We didn't have to wait a long time at all plus if I came back and I did I wouldn't mind waiting for the delicious food this restaurant produces. Well worth a visit.

We visited on a Friday night around 7.30pm. The restaurant wasn't too busy which is a real shame as the food & service is amazing. We were seated at the end of the restaurant so had views out over the river, it was great to look out at the water & Sowerby Bridge's infamous geese! We had vegetable & duck spring rolls to start which were freshly made, delicious & a generous portion. I had a beef red curry made spicy for the main course which was cooked to perfection and nicely spiced with chillies but not OTT.We also shared a rather nice bottle of Malbec. When the bill arrived we checked it & it all seemed to be in order but as we were paying the server said the bill was wrong, (too much) and reduced it by £25! It just goes to show we thought the original bill was value for money but to have it reduced by so much really shows how reasonably priced and most of all honest the staff are. We had a great time & will definitely be back!

Have been here few times since it opened and already have a favourite dish, although every one I have tried has been spot on! I am vegan so wanted to check that fish sauce was not used in the dishes I ordered, the staff were so helpful and even showed me the bottle of the sauce they would use instead which was really nice of them, and now I don't have to ask as they know :) amazing and every person who I have taken here loves it too, I hope to be a regular! Plus the prices are extremely reasonable too!

This restaurant is tucked away in Sowerby Bridge. The service is friendly, the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. We sat at the back of the restaurant which has windows overlooking the river, however, the kitchen extractor fans run overhead and can be a bit noisy. I am likely to return, as it is probably the best food in Sowerby Bridge, the "Weeping Tiger" sizzling beef was really tender and the thai fish cakes were much nicer than many I have tried elsewhere.

I've been to a lot of thai restaurants, be it local or commercial, which brings me to leaving this little gem a little bit of my time for some feedback. One of my favourite dishes ever since discovering it upon visiting my family in New Orleans is the Pad Thai. I almost always judge every thai restaurant through their pad thai. Panan Thai isn't one to disappoint, they served Pad Thai in a very presentable and traditional way. It was very flavoursome and had a homecooked feel to it which adds to its authenticity. I also ordered some dim sum to go with it and that too was delicious. Whilst waiting, me and my friend were served with their traditional thai prawn crackers which I've always found better than the white chinese prawn crackers but that's my own opinion. The staff were very lovely and polite, checking back on the food and experience when necessary without being obtrusive. Overall, very nice and well cooked authentic thai food they serve, with their very affordable prices.

On our first visit to this restaurant we went with friends who have been before. Before the panan Thai this restaurant was formally known as dandelion and burdock. The staff were very friendly and helpful . The food was prepared fresh and was very flavoursum, Good choice on menu , full wine list, no draught beer, but authentic Thai bottled beers. The price was slightly high, but the food was good. We also received a complimentry desert to share. My only criticism was the poor access to the toilets which are down stairs quite steep and narrow, so no disable access to the toilets. Worth a visit.

We visited as a small group for a celebratory meal. This restaurant is comparatively new and has replaced a vegan restaurant in the same location. It was a Thursday night and very quiet. We were the only guests and as a result the atmosphere of a busy restaurant was lacking. The food was a slightly long time in preparation, indicating that it was freshly prepared. The wait was certainly worthwhile as all agreed that their meals were very delicious.

We were asked “Would you like some prawn crackers” when took our drinks order……we assumed they were free…….THEY ARE NOT £4 added for not very many at all, feeling really ripped off!! Every other restaurant would give them for free…especially when THEY offer them. Why offer them when we didn’t ask for them obviously to be deceptive and sneaky upsell? Then when I questioned the bill the waitress sniggered “no they’re not free”. Bad form! Leaves a bad taste in the mouth

A warm welcome and delicious, freshly-cooked food. Good size portions and very good value for money. We had the mixed starters and actually shared a main course and it was enough. We booked by text and it was very easy. We ate there before a visit to Victoria Theatre, which was very convenient.
