Rim Nam in Calderdale

Lovely clean restaurant backed by helpful and efficient staff. It had an extensive Early Bird Menu and food was superb freshly made and authentic. We will be back thank you.

We booked a table here on Easter Sunday whilst staying over in Hebden Bridge. We were shown to our table but the booking was never checked so I think we were just shown to a vacant table. It was busy at 8pm. We ordered the set meal for two which seemed great value at £56. This included a mixed starter, 3 dishes from the main menu and two rices or one rice and one chips. We ordered the weeping tiger, Chicken jungle curry and a chicken pad prik. All of the food was really good. Quite long waits to order drinks initially and in between courses and to pay the bill but we were not in a rush so not really an issue. We were charged for two drinks we didn’t have but this was rectified without any fuss. The drink prices are more than reasonable. My partner had a large glass of Merlot at £6.50 a glass and a mini Prosecco bottle was £7.50. Our bill came to £70 and no service charge is added. The restaurant isn’t overly flashy and is quite basic but the staff were friendly and the food speaks for itself.

The food here is always excellent. Great flavours and plenty of choice on menu. On this visit however, we were let down by the service. They seemed to have very little staff on but the restaurant was incredibly busy. I asked for a drink and it still hadn’t turned up after 40 minutes despite asking twice. I gave up in the end and asked for the bill…remarkably this turned up straight away!! I could see a lot of other diners getting increasingly impatient with long waits for food and drink. I won’t let this visit put me off visiting again, hopefully they will have more staff on next time.

What a lovely meal. Restaurant was full but the service was exceptional. My wife and I can only say a worthwhile experience .

Lovely dinner in a very nice setting. Good choice of menu particularly the mango sticky rice (if available) for dessert.

Quite literally the best Thai we’ve ever had. The satay mushrooms were cooked to perfection - meaty almost and Smokey. The sweetcorn cakes were the best I’ve had and I am the biggest fan!! The mains were also amazing - massaman and panang curries. Coconut rice 10/10. Honestly incredible! Thank you to all the lovely waitresses who were so friendly and helpful!

Lovely food. Called in on the off chance and was pleantly surprised by the quality of both the food and the service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a meal on a Friday night and were blown away by this place! The staff were lovely and the mains were 10/10, so flavourful! Our red curry and pad prik were absolutely delicious. The fried starters were a little greasy but other than that everything was perfect. We look forward to coming back! Prices were very reasonable and lots of great choices for different diets.

Genuinely the best Thai restaurant around. Been going here for around 10 years and never had a bad experience. After moving city I now drive over an hour to visit this restaurant as it’s that good! Very good quality, very reasonable and very friendly.

Booked in advance for 7 pm. Our Table un available not even ready .Queuing on arrival. Informed staff and asked how long await even though we had booked. Oblivious and unhelpful. If u book a table it should be available. Communication poor said it's not acceptable and said if it was them booking a table they also wouldn't be happy. No excuse whether Xmas markets are on or not unacceptable service. Very disappointed.

Fantastic food, great service - recommend!

Previous orders have been lovely. This time had a massaman curry, three small pieces of pita tape, no onions and two cashews. Lots of prawns though. Rice and spring rolls but too greasy. Overpriced for what it was had nicer and cheaper.

Stumbled upon this restaurant whilst walking around Hebden bridge and decided to stop for dinner. What a lovely find! The food was delicious and reasonably priced and the staff was excellent. I recommend booking during peak times as it seems like a popular spot!

Saturday night take away. Staff were very pleasant, we had drinks whilst we waited for one tofu and one duck dish with rice. Small burst of ginger and soy sauce flavoured the vegetables and fried tofu. Pot of sauce for the duck dish. Bit disappointing

We had a lovely meal last night, the staff were really lovely and polite. The food was exceptional! I am dairy free and the staff were very helpful making sure I chose the right dish. We will definitely be recommending it and returning soon

The food was very good, but be prepared to wait an excessive amount of time for your food to arrive. We ordered noodle dishes that took an hour and twenty minutes to arrive. A couple that sat down after us eventually complained to the staff, and their food was rushed out before ours. That was a bummer.

Thia experience second to none, just a pity I don't live around here. Surroundings, both inside and out, are fantastic. Staff friendly, and actually look the part. The food is excellent, and the wine just as good, even though it seems relatively cheap to me (recommend the Zinfandel and Chenin). If you've thought about going here, do it, you won't be disappointed.

Very busy restaurant, extremely noisy when we visited on a Saturday night, we ordered a set meal for 2 the starters were ok but we didn’t enjoy the mains at all & very small portions. The Staff were very pleasant considering they seemed to be rushed off their feet. It wasn’t an enjoyable experience at all unfortunately, so we wouldn’t recommend.

Visited following a recommendation. Great service. Food tasted v authentic. Nice spacious restaurant overlooking the canal. Hebden bridge is a great place to visit and if you like oriental cuisine then this is a great place to dine. Will definitely return in the future!

Just love this place. Been loads of times, not sure why I’ve not put a review. The best customer service, always with warm smiles. The food is absolutely delicious, so lucky to have this tasty Thai food on our doorstep. Every time we go, they deliver spectacularly. It’s a very busy place, the service and food is quick. Rim Nam is one of my favourite restaurants and I've been visiting for twenty years. The owner is lovely, the staff are friendly, the tempura veg and vegan massaman are utterly delicious, and the setting on the canal is lovely. The early bird is great value.

Build in a bit of waiting time! While the team know what they’re doing in the kitchen, expect to wait for your food, especially when they’re busy. 30 minutes for takeaway is more like an hour in reality. Great, authentic and dependable food, and a great range, they just need to get their system down to cope with bottlenecks.

Delivered within the time frame on the app and the food was delicious. Generous portion sizes and very good quality. Spring rolls were particularly good and everything was to a very high standard.

Food not ready on time for collection

I believe there was fish sause in the curry (due to taste), so not vegetarian. Not enough tofu in the dishes and overall it feel like a poor quality fast food version of Thai food. Disappointing.

Fabulous food. We had 2 starters and 2 mains with rice. Excellent. Opens at 5:00pm- great for us walkers.

Lovely place staff helpful. We didn't book our first time here, just called in to see if we could get a seat they accommodate my partner and I. We squeezed outside weather was good so no problem. Thank you Rim Nam

We’ve been here a few times in the past and last night we were very disappointed. Coconut rice was like stodge! Salt and pepper ribs tiny portions 3 very small ribs for £8, satay chicken skewers 4 slithers of chicken again very small portions! We arrived about 9:15 maybe the kitchen had lost passion at that time?

We popped in for a drink and to check out the menu. We decided to order a takeaway to collect later on. Before we left we paid for our meal then realised they hadn’t charged for the drinks. We spoke to the waitress and she bought the drinks bill which paid. Steve went to collect our order at the selected time. He came back and we plated up the starter. The three remaining cartons I wrapped back up. The starter and accompaniments were very tasty. We then went to dish the main I had a prawn pad Thai which was definitely the best I’d had Steve had a seafood curry and sticky rice well that’s what he ordered. In the third container was satay stick no rice. He checked the recipes and we had ordered the rice so we switched the oven on and he walked back. There was no apology just said we are busy. Even though the food was good I’m disappointed with the attitude especially when we were so honest with regards our drinks bill. So basically before you leave with a takeaway check your containers.

Little pricey but really good food and delivered quickly

The BEST Thai food I've ever had, wish I'd come here sooner. We ordered 2 vegan green curries, salt and pepper chips, yellow noodles and coconut rice. Everything was excellent. Can't wait to go back.

When we visited Hebden Bridge, locals told us to go, and wow! Probably the best green curry we've ever had! So good we returned the very next night and ordered it again! Great all around: the food, the delightful staff, and the big windows right on the Rochdale Canal.

Super friendly staff and yummy food!

The delivery was 15 mins late beyond the maximum delivery time so 1 hour 40 mins since i placed the order. This meant the food was cold - paying £28 for cold food is very poor.

It's been a while since visited and went on the spur of the moment. They managed to fit us in before it got really busy, there was a bit of a wait for the food due to the volume of guests that night but it didn't detract from the meal. Food was really nice and would definitely visit again.

The food was fantastic we tried a selection of starters and a few mains the duck was perfect and tender the pork curry was also very good can't recommend enough Also they make a mean margarita

I booked a table on Wednesday for Sat 5.30pm for 6 and a toddler. We chose that time so our Grandson could join us. They took all my details It was for my Husband's b/day. When we arrived they didn'thave our booking. They did accommodate us and looked after us, the food was lovely as always we all enjoyed it. Before we left They were really busy and it was a little slower than normal but not seen it as busy and didn't spoil our evening. We had taken a cake with us but decided they were to busy to ask so brought it home to have. We have taken a cake before and are always happy to help. It is one of our favourite Restruants to go to Thank You

Very busy and noisy with constant chatter. Waited far too long for our meal. Not as nice as normal, portions are down especially rice.

This restaurant has always been a favourite of mine since I was a kid, it may have been a busy night tonight so I was waiting for a bit, but everyone was kind and lovely until I left.

Stunning food! We have just had a really lovely evening here. Too quality food and service. It was really busy but still the service was excellent.

The rice tastes like a microwave uncle Ben's. The ribs we had were tough and mainly grissle. The chicken was poorly deep fat fried and oil overflowed when bitten into. Everything had a bad flavour to it, and somehow it was also so bland. Will not be ordering from here again

Really poor serve and would not recommend, sorry. We visited as a group of 5 for a Christmas catch up. Dined here based upon recommendations from family and friends. We booked and arrived at 6:30pm. Order taken at 7:10pm and starters around 7:50pm. Main course arrived just before 9pm. Few items missing or wrong. Had to make repeated requests for drinks. No one really seemed to know what was happening. The restaurant was very busy and management clearly had taken too many covers and/or too little staff. Just pure greed. What should have been a relaxing meal ended up being somewhat chaotic. No apology whatsoever. When we finally left we were told it was cash only owing to a card reader fault. I had high hopes but won’t be back.

Very very nice restaurant, I go here frequently on days out and special occasions. The service is good, and the food is impeccable. It's definitely my favourite place to eat in Calderdale. Has a great traditional feel, and I would reccomend to everyone.

Went into the restaurant early on a sunday evening, without a booking and were given a warm welcome. It's a large space but was also a nice busy feeling. There were lots of family groups as well as couples. The food was really tasty and there were plenty of options for vegetarians. Service was excellent and we could have comfortably lingered if we'd wanted to. Loved it.

Ordered on just eat. Cold food. Poor quality. Three pieces of duck in the duck dish. 4 prawns in the prawn dish. Very bland taste. No spice.
