The best bar in Scarborough. We moved to Scarborough in March and visit here most weeks. We have met new friends and love the place. Best negroni cocktails there are. Dog friendly too. Best ice cream. Love the place ❤️

We always visit this place when we stay in Scarborough. It's only small but is very popular due to the great ice cream they make and the 2 guys who run it are really welcoming and friendly. My husband always has the Banana Split where you can choose your own flavours of ice cream and i have a Latte, both are excellent and that is reason we always return. Great little place.

. We found this place a few years ago on our first trip together, and we always make sure we visit when we venture up to Scarborough. We have only ever stopped for coffee and gelato, but it is very authentic and a beautiful place for a break. Run by a couple of Italian friends who are very hospitable and friendly. ‘Best gelato I’ve ever had’ was quoted by my partner when we visited this time. She isn’t wrong, we love visiting the North and we love visiting here when we do.

The ice cream is made on site and is the real deal. Real ice cream in a fantastic range of flavours. The business is owned and run by two wonderfully friendly and hospitable Italians from southern Italy and is far more than an ice cream outlet. The business is also a cafe serving excellent coffee and a range of Italian snacks. There are also imported Italian wines, beers and spirits. The whole place has an atmosphere that makes you feel like you are in Italy in a way I have struggled to find in Italian cafes in our big cities. Visited here by chance at end of August. Wasn't going to go in, until our daughter dragged us in. And what can I say. I like italian food. But this is a cafe, which does the most incredible gilato I have ever had. Safe to say we went back the day after, but I had tomato and brushetta and fantastic coffee.. 5 stars for me! We will be back when in Scarborough.

This is the best ice cream in Scarborough. Lots of delicious flavours to choose from. Great value for money and better quality than the stuff elsewhere. Whilst you are there sample the delicious coffee. We tried the espresso and it was wonderful and perfectly made. Well worth the walk into the town for.

Popped in for an Ice cream Sundae. had googled it, and have eaten Italian, Gelato, in Italy. It is always the best. So we sought it out, we weren't disappointed. Delicious.

We've been coming to Scarborough every summer for several years, and for the past six years, visiting C&C has been one of the highlights. The owners are charming and friendly and somehow manage to remain cheerful despite spending crazily long hours in summer scooping ice cream and pouring coffee non-stop. Speaking of the ice cream, or gelato to be precise, it is amazing in every way. The texture is beautifully soft and flawlessly smooth. No bottles of flavouring, common to lesser establishments, used here. Real ingredients, including fruit and nut purees, painstakingly sourced from Italy in some cases, really make a difference. My favourite is the pistachio but the fruity flavours like cherry and mango deserve a mention as they are zingy and fresh. Real Italian coffee and beer is also available if gelato isn't enough for you. This cafe is a credit to the town!

My family holidayed in Scarborough for the week, and we ended up here three times. The gelato was tasty and the owners are lovely and chatty. Pastries are lovely too especially the chocolate cake.

Three coffee bean blends to choose from, tried two both excellent. The gelato is made on the premises and there is a wide range of flavours. The pistachio and cherry is out of this world. The Italian owner is friendly and loves to chat.

Top notch gelato - a small distance away from the soft whip excuse for ice cream down on the sea front, or the bizarre amount of Welsh ice cream (why? We’re nowhere near Wales) you can get proper ice cream for low prices. Hazelnut Gelato is definitely the one for me but the chocolate orange was also lovely. Do not miss - worth a walk uphill.

After reading all the wonderful reviews of this place I was determined to find it while here on a short break in Scarborough. I found it today and treated myself to a 2 scoop cornet. Absolutely gorgeous! So many flavours to choose from and very reasonable prices. Dog friendly too. Shame I can't fit another one in as I go home tomorrow.

Gelato to die for served with a smile. Kid friendly. I was told the mango is the best but they had run out, so they promised to make some more for me to have the next day. Would definitely recommend.

Been to Scarborough so many times and have only just discovered this amazing place. The Italian ice cream is just the best and is served by real Italians. I will be back !

This is without doubt the best cafe / coffee shop that I have visited in Scarborough. Exceptional coffee & the gelato is to die for, not forgetting the cannoli’s. Exceptional service and both the owners give you a warm welcome. I need to go back for the sharing platter.

We love to call in for a drink. It’s such a cosy, welcoming place, the owners are very friendly and make everyone feel so welcome. I love the coffee, my son loves warm milk or ice cream milkshakes. Whether you want a warm drink, delicious ice cream or a beer it’s a great place to call

You can get more than ice cream. The coffee is excellent, and they also offer cooked meat and cheese plates and delicious fritto misto with a lovely glass of Puglian wine - perfect for a light meal with maybe ice cream for dessert?

We had delicious vegan and ordinary gelato's here today. We also had fantastic coffee. The service was excellent and we loved the atmosphere.We especially loved the backstory of the cafe written on the menu.

On an extremely wet day, we decided to take a trip out to Scarborough after visiting the market across the road. Looking for somewhere to get a drink and a treat for my daughter. We stumbled across this gem just across the road, which had already been recommended by locals within the market. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. It is a cosy place with lots of choice on the menu. The gelato is the best I have tried in the UK, I highly recommend the amarena cherry and the pistachio. The portions are of a great size and are very reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Coffee is also lovely here, we enjoyed a cappuccino and some of their cannolis alongside it...wow! Not one to miss. If we are ever in Scarborough again, we will definitely be making another visit!

Visited Scarborough for the day and we were after ice cream for the kids and hot drinks for us that was not on the beach front. This cafe came up in our search with great reviews and they are justified. I had to get an ice cream as well it looked so good. All 3 of our sundaes were delicious with a great choice of flavours and reasonably priced. My husband said his coffee was great and stole loads of our ice cream. The rhubarb was my favourite flavour. What's also lovely is the owners are there serving and are so friendly with big smiles on their faces. Really friendly place with great ice cream. Thank you

We popped in here for a drink as it was hot outside. Once a plate of bruschetta went past, we looked at each other immediately ordered some. Oh my it did not disappoint! Absolutely beautiful. It was fresh, tasty and moreish. This is a fab little café, which also sells little deli items. Enjoyed it so much I've craved it since. Friendly staff, nicely decorated. Made me feel I was in Sorrento for the time I was in there. I will be back!

On so many times we have visited so called "coffee shops" only to be served something akin to dish water. There no danger of that happening here, these guys serve coffee of the finest quality and there ice cream (available in a wide range of delicious flavours), is simply superb. The food, drinks and ambience are all authentic southern Italy.We visited for the first time today after being strongly recommended it. We weren't disappointed - we both had the lunch aperitivo. Absolutely delicious, I tried the Crodino (a drink I'd not heard of before) and it was spot-on - it tasted a little like an alcohol free negroni.We then stayed for dessert - my wife had a hazelnut ice cream (best she's tasted in England apparently); and I had a couple of mini canolli (a favourite of mine) and they were good too.Thoroughly recommend it

Came here for the 1st time today, the staff is super and friendly. I wasn't sure which flavour to pick because it has lots of chocolate options which I can't eat. However the mango flavour was the BEST ONE I ever had soooo I definitely recommend this place, just sorry I didn’t take a photo because I digged in straight away.

Stumbled upon this excellent Italian cafe on the way down to the harbour. Best ice cream in Scarborough - proper Italian ice cream, not the rubbish overpriced mr whippy stuff found on the sea front. The Tiramisu ice cream was amazing and we will definitely be back. Just like being in Italy.

This place sells the best ice cream I've ever had. The owners are so friendly. All the ice cream is made from fresh ingredients on the premises. We even got to help make some once! It's always a favourite for our family.

We are always visiting here as the gelato is sensational. I had honeycomb and bounty it was delicious as always. They are always so kind, helpful and patient with my youngest son who isn't the most decisive he had bubble gum and fruits of the forest. That was equally as delicious. I always thought the harbour bar was the best but that was before I visited crema e cioccolata. Also the canolli is to die for. If you want to go to a family friendly place in Scarborough with a relaxed vibe and impeccable service this is the place for you.

Absolutely love this place! An absolute gem! Always visit when we are in Scarborough, no matter the weather, you will get a warm and friendly welcome here, the owner is such a lovely man. The BEST ice cream we have both had, I had the Jamaican and it was absolutely gorgeous! My partner couldn't choose, so had 2.. :) The coffee is exceptional and we had a fantastic chat about Italy and the new taster menu with the owner. We will be back in summer for more ice creams and an evening platter/drinks, as the shop now opens later and offers quality and authentic drinks too. BELLISSIMO . x

Fabulous Italian bar and gelato place. Best Gelato we have had for ages. The Jamaican (choc rum and raisin) is the best ice cream flavour I've ever had. Really friendly service. Very definitely Italian. Really good value. Will have to go back.

So happy we stumbled across this absolute gem of a restaurant whilst visiting Scarborough! We were offered a taster style menu of tradition antipasti dishes and each one was truly delicious! It was more of an experience than a meal and my whole party loved it. The two owners are so so friendly and took the time to explain where all the food came from and the method of making the dishes. They also told us the story of how the restaurant came about which was really interesting. I would love to go back in the evening and have a few drinks from the bar. The best bit was saved until last..the homemade gelato... OMG, literally incredible. We have already spread the word to the rest of our family who plan to visit. Thank you for a great experience!

We love this place. Discovered it in summer and have been back to eat-in on a rainy day. Today, we had three, two scoop gelato - chocolate, cherry, Roche (think Ferraro Roche in gelato form) fruits of the forest, Biscoff and Bounty. They were all Delicious! Coffee was fabulous too.

Genuine Italian gelato, proper coffee and cakes - what's not to like. The location on Newborough is just behind the sea front and similarly just down from the main are of the town centre but its so worth walking a bit further to enjoy a friendly Italian welcome.

We came in when there was no chocolate gelato available, and instead of asking us to leave and come back later, or hassling us into ordering things we didn’t want, he kindly let us sit in and wait whilst the ice cream was prepared in a back room then made into a delicious sundae - it was just as delicious as it looked!!

What a find! Real gelato served by a real gentleman. Friendly service, several (about 20, I forgot to count) flavours including dairy free options (fruit flavours). Also serves coffee & cannolis but I didn’t try them as I picked up a kilo of gelato to take away. They are participating in the UK Eat Out to Help Out scheme if you sit inside (M, T, W in August 2020).

We stumbled on this by accident and I'm glad we did. I had the hazelnut flavour and it was amazing. 2 of the kids had mint, choc chip and vanilla and they were equally as good. All homemade too. My sister couldn't decide which flavour so they gave her samples to choose from. Amazing service. Highly recommend. We all ate it too quickly to take a photo.

Excellent Gelato and friendly staff. It was the first time my little daughter tried gelato and it didn’t disappoint, she loved it! We had a two scoop tub and tried Amarena Cherry, strawberry and peach. The cherry was so good we had it twice.

We discovered the wonderful ice cream here last year on a visit to the area and so had to seek it out once again this year. This time around we not only indulged in the ice cream on our first day in Scarborough (when I spotted on the sign that they also sell it in larger quantities) but we went back on our last day in order to bring some home. On that occasion we decided to sit in for a coffee and mini 'cakes' first (which were also delicious) before choosing what we took home.As others have said, it can be tough deciding what flavours to choose but they will always allow you to try something if you are unsure.My husband is a Rum & Raisin fan and can highly recommend that but he has also found both the chocolate and salted caramel to be equally delicious. Personally I would recommend the Amarena Cherry and the Hazlenut.Word of warning, don't take it onto the beach in the South Bay or the seagulls will try (unsuccessfully) to get it - they have obviously heard how good it is!!!

The most delicious handmade ice cream with a massive choice of flavours to choose from. My favourite is Cherry but it is difficult to choose, the lemon is gorgeous too very refreshing! Friendly and welcoming staff, small seating area where we enjoyed a cuppa after our ice cream. Definitely recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed.

This place is amazing! We popped in at the weekend and the ice cream is delicious! Creamy, fresh, variety of amazing flavours and I could of tried them all! The owners are so lovely and make a real effort to chat to you and make you feel welcome. Forget the rubbish ice cream on the sea front and get yourselves here!

Just visited here and it was honestly the nicest Gelato I've probably had, and I've been to Italy twice!Luckily that isn't a bad thing to say as you can tell this is an authentic Italian place and the guy working there was lovely and helpful.Would definitely come again and recommend anyone coming to Scarborough to check it out.Much nicer than the ice cream places on the seafront and very reasonably priced.

Can’t rate this place high enough!! Absolutely the best welcome and outstanding coffee, the owners of this cafe are so friendly and such a lovely atmosphere and they have some fantastic murals on the wall!!! Don’t pass by without trying their coffee, true Italian style! We will be back!!

Despite lousy weather, a thoroughly enjoyable ice cream which improved my entire day. Couldn't see prices on display, which made me a bit nervous, but when it came to the crunch I was asked for a smaller sum of money than I'd dared to hope. Can't wait until I'm in Scarborough again! Why do so many other establishments NOT provide ice cream this good???

Called whilst on holiday and had a coffee and ice cream courtesy of our daughter. My wife went as far as to comment that it was the best she'd ever had and I must admit it's along time since I'd had any as good. The co-owner informed us they make all the ice-cream on the premises. He was also very friendly offering tastes of the available flavours. All our choices were great and I'd be happy to recommend to anyone.

The usual coffee shop that our friends usually visited was closed...so we found this one by accident. What a find! It is now our must go to place for coffee when we visit Scarborough. The coffee was perfectly made - two Americanos and two Lattes...all good strength and perfectly served. The cafe also serve ice cream and other customers were certainly enjoying thiers...and we noted vegan ice cream was also available. The seating area is quite small, so you might want to plan your visit at less busy times.

I had a cone of rum and raisin and vegan peach ice cream--both were delicious. The vegan selection was fantastic and the quality of the gelato was second to none. Chatted to the man behind the counter who was very friendly and telling us about his home life in Napoli.

Outstanding coffee specially imported from Naples! Fabulous pastries and excellent service from the charming owners. Even a guitar propped up against the wall inside which customers can play. This is a real treat when visiting Scarborough - do not miss it!

Went here today and had a chocolate vegan ice cream . The best ice cream I have tasted . Really friendly . There were a 6 flavours to choose from which means a definite return visit whenever we next are here. This is like being in Italy for ice cream and tastes divine.

We normally try to fit in a nice ice cream at this place when we visit Scarborough but today we opted for a coffee and a chill. My husband had a mokka & I had a latte and they were great lovely taste and hot hot hot We also have some complimentary biscuits which added a nice treat. Would we go here again .....most certainly and we would highly recommend them for both ice creams and coffees. The atmospheres is very relaxing and the service is very customer friendly they are so cheery and polite SO when is Scarborough don’t just walk by give them a try you won’t be disappointed that’s for sure.

Just passing and noticed this delicious shop. Plus it does on line orders and delivery. The lady makes some of the chocolate in the shop. You are offered a tasting as soon as you enter. Bought lots of loose hand made chocolates so far they are excellent

After a day spent on Filey beach we fancied some nice ice cream and remembered Crema. They very kindly allowed us to take our dog in as well. Enjoyed a really good latte and a fantastic hot chocolate. Then the main event...two Eton Mess sundaes! SO good!! Very friendly atmosphere and staff. Will be visiting again soon.

Absolutely authentic Italian coffee . Friendly staff and only heard Italian spoken on the quiet morning I visited , from owner and visitors alike. Charming. Off the beaten track . Waiting for a bit of sunshine to try the delicious looking gelati!

My wife loves ice-cream when we are abroad - but seldom enjoys what passes for ice cream in the UK. 'Crema' is an exception. The young man who runs it is passionate and experimental when it comes to ice-cream and his concoctions pass my wife's most exacting standards. Too easy to pass by without noticing, it is a business that thoroughly deserves to prosper.

Been here many times, never disappointed, the owner very helpful. Ice cream exceptional, try before you buy coffe and hot chocolate. Vegan choices Dog friendly. I had the Affogato Al Cioccolato, highly recommended. Reasonable prices and takeaway. icecream.

We wanted a good quality ice cream milk shake and found this place. The family/locals also seemed to be having ice cream in here so that was a good sign. However, it was a really hot day and it was really, really hot inside this cafe/shop. By the time it came-good things take awhile to make....we were boiling. It was a good job we were drinking something cold as I was ready to leave. So my review is that the ice cream quality and selection is excellent but dont go on a hot day and perhaps the manager/owner could buys some fans???
