Fantastic restaurant with amazing food. Perfect visit, and there was nothing I would change. Garlic mushrooms and then chicken parmigiana with mini canoli to finish for me and mussels followed by duck and tiramisu for my partner. Very generous portions, especially the mussels. Saw a calzone being delivered to a nearby table and it was huge..

Delicious Italian food, in a busy, bustling friendly atmosphere. The food is first class, lots of choice and always delicious. A very good idea to book as it is deservedly very popular.

On top of this, the restaurant has a very good range of gluten free dishes, including some of the best gluten free pizza bases I've ever come across. If you are coeliac (like me) and are looking for somewhere to eat in Scarborough, look no further. Highly recommended. I can't wait to go back.

Everything was okay but paying 3.30 for a 50 cl hayat bottle of water is scandalous

I recently had a fantastic dining experience at Pomodoro. The cozy and friendly atmosphere instantly made me feel welcome. The Italian iced tea was a refreshing start to the meal. The bruschetta was perfectly toasted with a burst of flavors. The ricola, prosciutto & parmigiano pizza was a delightful combination of ingredients, and the agnello al vino rosso was cooked to perfection. The staff were attentive and made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend Pomodoro for anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a cozy setting.

We went to celebrate my birthday, a first visit for us all. The service was superb and matched by the standard of the food. The owner cordially went around the tables to ensure all was ok. Can't ask for any more. Varied Italian menu at a reasonable price.

We had a great night here with the kids. Food was lovely and we actually felt like we could have been in Italy! Highly recommend.

I’ve been hearing of this restaurant for s real years on how good it was, (lots of Italian restaurants in Scarborough) well tonight we had the chance of going after being invited by friends. My experience tonight was far from good, the restaurant is very hot over crowded and set up like a cafe. Cutlery on the table half missing. The drinks order took 15 mins after sitting down to be taken, and a further 20 minutes before food order taken. So from sitting to order being taken 35 mins. The serving staff were very poor at customer service in fact the main waiter looked like he had just been dragged off the street, casual dress was an overstatement. We were going to have starters but skipped that due to waiting. £40 loss to the restaurant same for more drinks. The food was okay nothing special. Waited another 15 mins for plates to be cleared and ended up asking at the counter for bill. Will I return… I doubt it. As an owner of several holiday let’s it won’t be on my recommendation list..

100 % recommend. The man that served us (possibly owner) very happy and Brilliant with my children joking and interacting with them. Food was delicious Parking was easy after 6 free on the road side just 30 seconds walk. Very reasonable priced. Can't wait to go back

We popped in for lunch with our granddaughter. The pizza was one of the best I’ve had outside of Italy. Service was perfect. Don’t be deceived it looks very simple from outside but the food l ate and what I saw come out of the kitchen looked spot on.

Closes at 9pm (maybe out of season hours) but felt a little rushed so book early & do reserve as they get lots of walk ins. Traditional italian food, ordered the garlic mushrooms/bruschetta, belly pork special/pizza, pistachio cheesecake/tiramisu & coffee. All the food was delicious, the vegetables were cooked to perfection and service was excellent. Spent £92 for two three course meals, two beers and two wines and certainly worth it.

Delicious food, a bit pricy but worth it. A great place for people who seek gluten free and vegan/dairy free food (at the same time). The gluten free pizza base is delicious, much better than in other places. The Staff was very friendly. I’ve eaten there twice and both times felt well. We will be back :)

Fabulous value, authentic taste, great service

We came here for our evening meal. We were seated next to the counter. There are two seating areas in the restaurant and the bit we were sat in felt more like were sat in the takeaway seating areas rather than in an actual restaurant. The food was very nice, I had the caneloni and it was very sloppy. I do not mean this in a bad way, this is how I like it. Sometimes when you get canneloni it can be very dry, but this was lovely and saucy. The only main gripe I have is that we asked for a glass of tap water for our daughter and they brought us a small bottle of still water. I probabily should have queried it but I just assumed they didn't serve tap water. We weren't informed of this when she took our order, so she really should have said. When the bill came we'd been charged £3.50 for a 500ml bottle of water (I didn't know the price as we'd not looked at the price of bottled water on the menu since thats not what we ordered)! Absolutely ridiculously expensive, especially when we didn't order it in the first place. Had we known we wouldn't be getting the tap water we'd just have ordered a fruit shoot or something instead, especially now knowing that a fruit shoot was half the price of the water! £3.50 for a bottle of 500ml bottle of water is criminal. It wasn't even a branded one, it had the name of a catering wholesaler on it.

This authentic Alba Italian restaurant has the best Melanzana (Parmigiana) and Mediterranean salad amongst many other dishes like the marinades salmon starter and Lobster Ravioli that are so delicious and perfectly freshly made, it's understated casual surroundings make it perfect for lunches and dinner, fantastic homemade meringues , great wine and host- it's fantastic😊

One of the better Italian restaurants in Scarborough. We were a family of eight people and everyone enjoyed their meals. Not the cheapest Italian restaurant in Scarborough but the food and service was excellent.

The food is fresh and beautiful, I think we all try something new everytime we visit and we do that a lot. The staff are fantastic and friendly, the specials are great and I can really recommend the Italian hot chocolate and the meringue, we were so full and the food was so good we needed doggy bags. Atmosphere is friendly, we are quite often a group of 6-8 and have never had a problem with booking or food. Great restaurant and well recommended.

Had the margarita and a portion of wedges while my partner had the tropical with a portion of wedges. The food was stunning, the staff were friendly, smiley and amazing & the atmosphere was so peaceful and calm. Even when it was busy, the staff didn't seem rushed and it resonated in the restaurant. Much better than Florios, definitely would go again, 100% recommend!

I have not been here in a long time and made the mistake of passing it whilst hungry. I soon parked up and returned. Greeted and seated by staff in a prompt and friendly manner. I had an espresso, a large glass of red and a meat feast pizza. Came to just under 20. Very reasonable house red and tasty pizza with great crust. At lunch they shut at 2 but there were still quite a few diners present at this time and they certainly seemed in no rush to get people out.

From the moment we arrived it was just fantastic. The most friendly welcome, excellent service and great with the children. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food which was excellent traditional Italian. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

I went in on my own in the early evening and they could not have been more helpful - they didn't mind serving one single diner at all. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and thoughtful. If I am in Scarborough again I will go back without hesitation.

Amazing food as always! Pomodoro has been our favourite restaurant in Scarborough for years & honestly does not ever disappoint. The 3 of us had pizzas as usual, as they're just so good! We shared wedges & bread & olives this time which we all enjoyed. Sadly we're always too full for dessert tho our 12 year old managed 2 cannoli that he loved! The food is excellent & the service friendly & efficient. I think it's very good value for money too. Highly recommended. We'll be back on our next visit to Scarborough
