There's nothing bad about this place. The staff, the food, the atmosphere, the premises... the cake 🤩🤩 everything was beyond all expectations. I went with a colleague to handover before heading on mat leave and the staff were beyond amazing... the food was the best I've ever had and they even made me the most amazing smoothy - both me and baby were super happy. Will definately be back!!! My new favorite and will definately get me out of the house more- couldn't have been better if they tried.

What a little gem we found here on our day our wedding dress shopping in Ossett. We stopped in for coffee and ended up staying for lunch. The cafe/ Bistro is fabulous. It is exceptionally clean and modern. The food was amazing but most of all I want to compliment the management on their choice of staff. I have never in all my years of eating out ever come across such polite and attentive staff. They just could not do enough for us. When one of our party of 5 couldn’t finish her meal, the young man waiting on us went out of his way to ensure that her meal had been ok and that she hadn’t eaten it because it was not of a good standard. She reassured him it was because there was too much for her but he again asked was she sure and was it ok. For the high standard of food the prices are very reasonable too. We will definitely be eating there again and will be recommending to all our friends. Well done Cafe Vie for contributing to a fabulous day. And yes!!! She said yes to the dress 😂

Having enjoyed a previous Tapas evening, we booked again for Saturday 27th July. The food came from around the world (Jamaica; USA; China; England; India; Mexico), and consisted of 8 tapas dishes which included the best tiramisu we have tasted. Each dish was unique and the blend of spices was exquisite. My wife enjoyed her Raspberry Limoncellos. The service was led by Roman, but as regular day time visitors, all staff at Cafe Vie are friendly and welcoming and all are lovely. Currently Cafe Vie is primarily a day time cafe which provides occasional specialty evenings. We have enjoyed breakfasts and lunches on many occasions and the food is of a consistent high quality with products locally sourced. Many of the people who visit are repeat customers. We would highly recommend Cafe Vie. A big thank you from Anna and Jonathan.

This was our first visit to Cafe Vie and we are already planning our next. Everything was perfect, from the warm and friendly welcome, gorgeous food, excellent service and lovely, stylish decor. Very impressed.

Excellent as always booked for Mother’s Day afternoon tea. Beautifully presented delicious sandwiches and warm savoury treats. Alongside sweet desserts and delicious scones. Staff from booking to on the day always obliging and welcoming.

Came here for the mothers day treat for my partner and my mother. Me and my partner come for breakfast as well as other occasions, and the service and food has always been excellent, and this event was no different. Even my mother, whom it was her first visit to the cafe, commented on how much she enjoyed the day, and wished there was a place near where she lives like Cafe Vie. Another successful outing for breakfast (Sunday all day breakfast). Food delivered promptly for our table of six. All food tasty and of decent portion size. The full English comes with a ramekin of beans, not a thimble, as one reviewer has reported. (Ok I know the reviewer was trying to make a point). Yes you can get full English cheaper elsewhere but it is the quality of food that you are paying for. Will be back again.

Dropped in for breakfast with my niece whilst in the area. Although my order was simple - scrambled eggs bacon Ossett local sausage, It was genuinely exceptional. Quality local sausage, eggs to perfection. My niece had avocado and eggs on muffin and agreed about hers too. Nice surroundings, well decorated, upstairs is lovely with balcony for better weather. 100% go again

Booked for dinner as the Valentine’s menu was excellent. Meal was lovely, food cooked to order and well presented. Staff, decoration and ambience of the Bistro contributed to a very pleasant dining experience.

We visited this cafe for the first time last Sunday 4th February for a breakfast and we sat upstairs as downstairs it was quite cramped and noisy. We received our drinks in relatively quick time from ordering however our breakfast took 35 minutes to be brought to our table. When it did arrive the food was barely warm, no steam coming off it and the one slice of toast each was hard. I’ve got to be honest, it was completely overpriced. At £11.95 which didn’t include a drink, a latte was £3.25 on top, you got one sausage, one small round hash brown, one small black pudding, 2 bacon, 2 small poached eggs, one half a tomato and a small thimble of baked beans. This included one slice of toast. £15.20 for a small breakfast and coffee is extortionate, I never expected to pay over £30 for 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees in all honesty. Yes we could have left when we saw the prices and I do wish we had, especially after also waiting over half an hour for a cold breakfast. When the waiter cleared our plates he asked if we’d enjoyed the breakfast and we both said honestly no we didn’t and we wouldn’t return either. The waiter asked why and we explained the very long wait, the food was barely warm and it was massively overpriced. As a gesture he did remove the cost of one breakfast which was much appreciated, which we never asked him to do or asked him for anything. I wouldn’t return to this cafe again unfortunately based on this experience.

We chose the Indian Thali evening inspired by India’s Royal heritage. A tray of fragrant and spicy food. A great choice from soup to main courses to dessert. Plenty of different dishes

Brunch was good..I am a regular visitor here and always enjoy wether it be brekky brunch or lunch..or just call in for coffee. The xmas dinner evening menu back in December was the best..excellent food

It’s really refreshing to go to a place with a French twist with the menu, I had the croque Madame it was unbelievably tasty, the coffee was great and the staff very friendly and I was never waiting to order anything. This place is a must try!.

This cafe bistro serves wonderful food, made by experienced chefs. The staff here are so friendly and professional, they make a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble. We went for the monthly authentic Indian meal from a different region each time. This books up very quickly due to the high quality.

I’ve been here a number of times with friends and family and always had a lovely experience. The staff are thoughtful, attentive and always go the extra mile. The coffee and food are exceptional. You can tell a lot of time and effort has gone into making this place special

What a great way to celebrate New Years Eve, we had a welcome drink on arrival, our Indian Thalia meal was delicious every course was so tasty and so authentic. The care & attention to detail is second to none & the staff are lovely and friendly

We visit regularly for breakfast and occasionally for lunch, with our little dog Milo. I can honestly say we’ve never been disappointed by anything we’ve ordered. The menus are varied, the service is friendly and thoughtful, and they give Milo a biscuit or three!
