Bahn Mi 8 in Wakefield

This has become a firm favourite, excellent food and service, would not hesitate to recommend at any time of day.

Been here a couple times for lunch, fast service and fresh food with amazing flavour. I get the lunch meal deal only £5.95 for a baguette, mini baguette, piece of fruit and drink. I got the tofu option as I'm vegetarian but they have other meat options too! Wish I could go every day

Had takeaway lunch here a couple of times and had the pork baguette which is excellent, tasty and spicy. Would recommend this for an alternative lunch. The Baguettes are very good a bit of crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. I suspect if the people of Wakefield don't use it...we'll lose it.

If I lived in Wakefield I'd go here for lunch every day. It's authentic tasting delicious Bahn Mi, absolutely full of flavour. A really nice team too.

A small restaraunt in the town centre serving fresh vietnamese food. Freshly baked baguettes and bowls of pho at very affordable prices. The vietnamese bread is incredible, crispy baguette, yet soft and fluffy inside is so good. The tofu and vegetable pho is a very strong broth with lots of tomato and lemongrass and lots of fresh veggies. Although a small place, theres always somewhere to sit down to eat and they offer a Takeaway service too. Great fresh food for a quick meal in Wakey centre

Can't fault the food and the staff are polite (almost to a fault - relax!). The place is a little cramped but the sarnies are delicious.

Hidden gem in centre of Wakefield. So tasty. I honestly can’t wait to get to city center tomorrow and try something I haven’t done yet. Baguettes, soups, chicken satay etc. etc.

Just had a takeaway from this restaurant and I had to write an immediate review. Oh my goodness what delicious fresh food!! I ordered quite a variety and everything was superb. I have quite a few take aways and I don’t know why as I am usually not happy with the quality and never usually write reviews, but after this food I just HAD to.

Called for the first time today, grabbed the Chicken Stay baguette... Absolutely delicious. I'm a very picky eater and was slightly terrified at the amount of veg they crammed into it, but it was worth it. I'll definitely be going again.

In terms of the bread alone, this is probably the best baguette I've ever tasted!. I had the beef with all the trimmings freshly made which was delicious. The service was really good, very friendly and efficient. This will definitely become a regular spot for me to call when I visit Wakefield. A little gem.

I've been for a few lunchtime baguettes recently (tried chicken satay and pork so far). They have all been delicious and full of flavour and are put together with a great deal of care and passion for food - I'm a very happy customer and will be returning for many more. Can't wait to try the Pho too!

the food is absolutely delicious, I always go for the chicken satay baguette which tastes amazing. I've also tried the Pho which was incredible too. The staff are always really friendly and although you may have to wait a short while for your order, if there's a queue, it's well worth it!

This is my go to place for my lunch time meals, chicken pho being my favourite. I only wish they delivered so I could have this from home. Keep doing what you're doing because everything is amazing!

I stumbled across this small café when wandering around Wakefield in the evening looking for somewhere to eat. It serves lunch from 12 to 2 pm and dinner between 6 and 9pm. It is unlicensed, but you are able to BYO. It also delivers for a small fee (£1 within three miles).

I first visited Banh Mi 8 for lunch probably around a year ago, I asked for a recommendation and had the chicken satay banh mi which was delicious and great value for money. I was dishearted the next time I visited to find that it appeared to have closed down. Today I was on my lunch break from work and as I walked past I realised Banh Mi 8 had reopened which I was thrilled about. I got a meal deal to take away which included the same chicken satay banh mi that I originally had. When I got back to the office my colleagues were really jealous and I couldn't stop talking about how much I had enjoyed my lunch. I'm really pleased that I can now get a satisfying, quick and reasonably priced lunch in Wakefield, and have already recommended Banh Mi 8 to most of my colleagues.

A simple shop serving some classic Vietnamese street food. From the famous Vietnamese Banh Mi (an amazing sandwich filled with meat, vege, and herbs), Pho (noodle soup), and the more familiar fried noodles or rice dishes. At the moment the newly opened shop serves lunch and dinner on weekdays and offers a lunchtime special that is big enough for lunch and an afternoon snack. The food is comparable in flavour and style to what I ate when I was living in Vietnam. The service is friendly, and the restaurant spotless. I would highly recommend this place for a quick takeout working lunch or a dinner on the go if you are looking for something above and beyond the average sandwich experience without breaking the bank.

This simple little Vietnamese cafe is newly opened & serves amazing, authentic Vietnamese street food. We had fried spring rolls & fresh summer rolls to start, which were as good as anything in Hanoi.

Popped in on a cold day for lunch and was treated to a very warm welcome by the owner who was friendly and polite. Nice and clean and very cosy. Had a Vietnamese coffee, hot, which I was told was a blend made by the owner. The coffee was delicious, very smooth and creamy and sweet without the need for milk and sugar. To eat I had a bahn mi while the person I was with had pho. Both were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The food did take a little while to come out but was well worth it, freshly prepared and hot. Will definitely visit again - a real gem and well worth a visit and as a bonus they also do takeouts for those who need to grab a bite and go.

This awesome little restaurant now only seems to be open for lunch on week days but it's well worth a visit. Although service can be a little slow, it's only because the owner makes everything fresh and takes his time over presentation. Food was amazing and we had a mixture of pho and bahn mi. Great for vegetarians. There were some other customers in over lunch who seemed to have chicken satay and rice which looked delicious. Will definitely visit again.
