Have visited a few times in the last couple of years and it's always fab. If only I lived nearer! Such a lovely cafe in a beautiful spot. This year's holiday treats included the best ever cinnamon bun anywhere ever, the best lemon drizzle cake we've ever had in a cafe (my mum makes a mean lemon drizzle cake and is a tough customer!), Guinness ginger cake....and of course plenty of coffee and hot chocolate. Did I mention the cinnamon buns???!!! I would do the 130 mile round trip just for those alone.

We were a group of 6 for a late lunch and chose the cafe as they cover vegetarian and vegan requirements. Really disappointed with the vegetarian sandwich which was meant to be in ciabatta roll. With no explanation it came in terrible small slices of dry, crumbly bread which we think was gluten free . If you haven’t got something why not speak to your customers.

Extremely rude lack of service from the man running the cafe - allowing other customers to push infront of a gentleman with hearing difficulties, and then refusing to serve him when he attempted to explain he was next in the queue. Would recommend avoiding.

This cafe was the icing on the cake of our day trip to Burnsall yesterday. I couldn’t wait to try the posh bacon sandwich for breakfast, and then the beautiful courgette cake when we returned from our walk. They actually exceeded the high expectations which had been set by reading the other reviews on here! My daughter had a bacon sandwich and lemon drizzle cake, and our friends had the posh vegan sandwich - all excellent. The only disappointed members of our group were the dogs, because the bacon was just too delicious to share! I wish I had taken photos of the food but I was in too much of a hurry to taste everything. I can’t wait to return (to try everything else!)

We only discovered this place yesterday but we’d already had our morning coffee so we made the decision to call back again today to sample the delights… the look of the home-made cakes and the promise of posh breakfast sandwiches sounded too good to resist! And they were (too good to resist)! Great coffee, beautifully served, and the most scrumptious breakfast sandwiches ever- one bacon, one veggie. And the courgette cake….mmmmmmmm! The place is stunning- a modern structure, styled with skill and love, to take in the views of one of the prettiest-little-villages-by a-river-with-a-bridge ever! All this and a lovely friendly welcome to boot! Thank you. We hope to return tomorrow…

I had a chicken and avocado foccacia and Lu had the vegetarian option , an asparagus romesco ? They were both absolutely delicious ! Really generously sized, homemade bread , (the best foccacia I've ever tasted) fresh and you could tell they were made from quality ingredients . Soooo impressed . My wife and I ( plus four dogs) called in today for coffee and snack on our walk. Although busy, we found a friendly welcome and fabulous food. I know a bacon sandwich sounds a simple thing but try Rachel's posh one, with avocado, salsa (I think) and rocket in warm sourdough...just magic. Can't recommend the place highly enough. Everything is freshly made daily on the premises. You won't be disappointed.

What a good find! A non traditional cafe in the heart of Wharfedale. A great place to finish off a good walk with coffee & cake. Lovely coffee & excellent cake to compliment the views of the river

I cycled to Burnsall in zero degrees last Friday and dropped in to the Riverbank, for the first time. Warmed up with a lovely coffee next to the woodburner. Lovely cakes on offer, beautifully designed venue, with oven and funky tiling in the far wall, and friendly hosts. Saw a kingfisher fly upriver from my seat in the French windows. Enjoyed the visit so much I repeated the trip on Sunday. Will be back time and time again.

I think we came on an off day, or maybe a just getting warmed up day. I had high expectations after reading all the rave reviews. The only "food" available was sausage rolls or bacon buttie. Cakes were fruit scone, lemon drizzle cake or flapjack. What we had was nice though. The woodburning stove helps to warm the place up. It was great that it was dog friendly and Hector the resident lab greeted us at the door. The views of the bridge are lovely.

Chance visit this week and what a find! It doesn't matter if it's raining and cold because first of all the welcome from the owner warms you right up and then, once you have chosen your food from the array of wonderful home baking, the log burner in the seating area takes over. We understand that there have been many changes in the last year and the picture storyboard shows just how many.

Recently had a brilliant stay at Crina Bottom B&B at the foot of Ingleborough (one of the 3 peaks). It is entirely off-grid but the owners have done a terrific job in making the property comfortable, clean and very attractive. The bedrooms have been furbished to a high standard and you are guaranteed a sound sleep. The en-suites are large and are like those found in a good 5 star hotel. The chef produces great breakfasts which are substantial enough to set you up for the day ahead. I would thoroughly recommend this superb B&B

This place is in a beautiful location. After a hard day cycling, we we had run out of water and food. Although the tea-room was closed we asked if our water bottles could be topped up. The lady who owns the place was busy but she could not have been more kind and helpful. She brought us delicious home-made chocolate cake and filter coffee and stayed for a chat. Absolutely amazing customer service and saved us that day! Thank you!

First stop on the way out of Hubberholme when walking. 3 of us had the cream tea; wonderful home made scones with home made jam & lashings of cream- scrumptious Scar House Tea Garden highly recommended.

Any time this place is open, do take the chance to pop in for a drink, snack or meal....a very friendly place with a good choice (including vegetarian) on the menu; the family team are happy to speedily prepare and serve just what you order in a quirky, well presented small cafe. Excellent value, quality food!

What a lovely quirky cafe. The owners were super friendly and welcoming. We had hot chocolate and scones with jam and cream and both the drink and scones were delicious. Best hot chocolate drink we have tasted and in a nice large cup too. There was lots of cakes to choose from and they all looked delicious. We will definitely return for lunch as the menu was very appetising.
