One of the best meals I've ever had! Lovely atmosphere in restaurant, great service too. The meal was simply amazing. I had the mushrooms and pancetta starter and it was so very tasty. Then my fillet steak was ullnof flavour and was cooked to absolute perfection, along with it's sauce. We shared a lovely bottle of house white, while others in my party enjoyed garlic bread, mozarella, pasta and a beautiful seabass dish. I really couldn't be happier about the food I ate.

The food at this place is the best Turkish I’ve ever had, I’m ashamed to say this was my first visit to Mardini, but it certainly won’t be the last. The chef was so accommodating when my son in law asked for something wasn’t on the menu, the waitresses were so friendly & polite, I can’t recommend this place high enough, & can’t wait to go back.

Food was good, would say price wise mine was £19.70 for halk chicken and lamb chunks, basically with half rice, half chips was tasty, the big let down was what looked like a bottle of chili sauce but was really to much tomato, i few others said there mains tasted very tomato tasting... overall 6.7

whilst visiting york we past this restaurant and looked at the menu and was very surprised with the amount of meals they could make vegan. there was 4 of us and me being the only vegan so this seemed perfect. I asked them to double check and she seemed unsure to which I made a comment to my friends they dont have a clue about vegan, I ordered looking forward to my meal for the waitress to come back and tell me the pitta bread has milk in it, but only a very little amount, to which I then said then it clearly isn't vegan nor can it be made vegan. I said to my friends to eat their food and I'll sort food for myself after, but they make the stuff cancel the food order and we left. now I feel like this is such a concern this day and age and the lack of understanding of veganism for some yes it's an option for others it's due to dairy allergies etc. which is such a big concern. I really hope they get a bit more training regarding allergies.
