2nd Girlfriend in Sheffield

One of the best meals I've ever had! Lovely atmosphere in restaurant, great service too. The meal was simply amazing. I had the mushrooms and pancetta starter and it was so very tasty. Then my fillet steak was ullnof flavour and was cooked to absolute perfection, along with it's sauce. We shared a lovely bottle of house white, while others in my party enjoyed garlic bread, mozarella, pasta and a beautiful seabass dish. I really couldn't be happier about the food I ate.

Our 5th visit. After the 4th visit we said that we wouldn’t return due to the poor service. We went as it was for a friends birthday meal. It was absolutely abysmal service, shocking! I wish that I could say the food was awful but it was good. Just one of many things……We were told “if you don’t want a dessert, can you finish your drinks at the bar?” We had literally just swallowed our mains (plates still on the table) and just received our bottle of wine that we’d ordered before the meal. There were 13 of us and had arrived on time and been sat for 1 hour 28 mins when we were told this. We asked for a dessert menu and it was shouted back across the table what desserts were on offer. We weren’t allowed to even peruse the menu. We won’t be returning. What a shame. Shocking way to treat customers.

We was booked in for table of 10 at 7pm. we arrived to be told we was not booked in- They did manage to seat us. we waited 50 minutes to order our drinks- The starters arrived, not the best value for money, just chucked onto a plate-no dressing -salad or nice bread rolls. The main meal arrived - £26.00 for peppered steak and chips!! no garnish no presentation and no drinks offered- we had to ask again three times for more drinks. Three people had lasagne- they all left it. Half way through our meal one of our guest was asked to move to allow them to seat another party-how rude! Never again-this was to be a special night out for a birthday-disappointed.

Staff very friendly and helpful, the place isn't very big but it was clean and had a nice atmosphere . The menu had plenty of choice and they have a specials board. Food was served piping hot and was very tasty, could have done with a bit more veg to a portion. Alcohol is available with bottled beers and spirits. We would recommend a visit if you haven't been yet and we will be returning some time soon.

Visited early Friday before a football match. Outside looked a bit dubious with grafting on the wall but it was really good. Excellent service, good choice & very reasonably priced. Everything we had was tasty & hot plates! The monkfish linguine was lovely and the house wine at £18 a bottle was perfect & when we asked about it didn’t get talked into ordering a more expensive one. Complimentary limoncellos always a plus! If we are ever back in Hillsborough would definitely revisit.

Went for my son’s 40th birthday, what a fantastic experience. The food was amazing and the host was absolutely lovely. The chef came out to make sure we all enjoyed our meal. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Beautiful food, beautiful decor and lovely staff. If you haven’t been, please give it a try.

Wanted to try this place for a while & I’m pleased to say, it didn’t disappoint. A little gem on my doorstep. Very welcoming despite being busy, friendly, efficient staff serving delicious food! The steaks were succulent & their accompanying sauces were full of flavour. The starters & pastas were equally as good. We also had a variety of cocktails, which were all spot on & reasonably priced. All in all, a great night out with the family and one we will definitely repeat soon.

Absolutely delicious, freshly prepared authentic food. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Portion sizes are also huge, value for money.

Amazing food and fantastic staff. We went for my 40th birthday and I loved every moment of it. the meals were amazing, I had mussels for starter and I don’t think I’ve ever had any that nice in a long time. The chilli and tomato sauce they were in was perfect with just a hit of spice. Fillet steak in Rossini sauce for my main done medium/rare and it melted like butter in my mouth. To top of the evening the host, Mimo, brought his guitar out to sing me happy birthday! Real authentic Sicilian food that we will be going back for again. Top marks.

Went for dinner 2nd of May, shared a lovely starter of Prawns, then I had a chicken Corriacchio ( I think that’s what it was called) , my husband had the special, Penne with fillet steak , both very tasty, the chef came out to ask if we were enjoying our meal, will definitely visit again

I went there for my birthday party with my friends today and it was an absolute great experience! The staff were very friendly and considerate (in helping my friend preparing my birthday cake surprise!). They played live music to celebrate my birthday which was very nice of them. Sheffield is not short of nice Italian restaurants, but this one is a cut above the Hillsborough/Walkley/Crookes norm. Definitely worth making the trip down the hill - and back up again.
