Superbly crafted food. Great service with a smile.

Managed to get a last minute table here on a Saturday night. Came out for a meal with some friends. This is a very small restaurant so I would always advise to book ahead, as if you turn up on a whim you're taking a risk for it table. The menu is pretty weak for vegetarian options, there are only two and they both contain some form of cheese which is not ideal for vegetarians. The staff are nice, the food was very tasty and filling

Celebrated a 65th birthday. Table booked for 7.30pm wasn't ready till 8pm... A little slow on service hence only 4* Would definitely return.

Booked Engins for my Mum's 80th Birthday. The whole family enjoyed fabulous food and excellent service. Staff went above and beyond to make the evening really special...Thankyou so very much.

Excellent food and wonderful staff

Great food, well cooked and beautifully presented. All the meat was juicy and flavoursome and the sides and dips were lovely. Staff were friendly and relaxed. Very clean.

This place is ridiculous Ridiculously fantastic! Honestly they just care, you can tell through everything they do they just care and because of this you’ll really enjoy it here. It’s tiny, don’t let that put you off, it makes it cosy and intimate like this chap is your personal chef. The food is great, if you stop for a moment and look and even the detail to how it’s laid out and presented on your plate - you can see the quality and care in the end result; flavoursome deliciousness! Anyway, enough rambling: I really like it here and they’re just lovely with a great place and incredible food. It’s the third time we’ve been and the third of many more Well done Engins

I really wanted to like this place but I don’t feel like it lived up to the current rating of 4.8 it has. If it was reasonably priced I would say maybe but for the price of about £18 for a lamb shish that is only 5 chunks? That’s rly badly priced, total mismatch. For that price I’d expect a bigger portion for sure or at least some better sides to go with it. The food was nice but not particularly a level above any of the other Turkish restaurants in the city. I do feel like you can get better quality for money in other places. Very small restaurant which gives it charm but also means that service is unfortunately way too slow. There’s only 1 chef working and he has to get all those orders out, it’s not really doable when the restaurant is full. Our order took around 45 minutes to be served. They also didn’t have what I originally ordered which is a staple at any Turkish restaurant, the Adana. It took them about 25 minutes to let me know that it was no longer available, not ideal. They weren’t very accommodating to the fact I now had to order something I honestly didn’t particularly want but since it had taken them so long to let me know I couldn’t exactly leave either. I do think if they improve their service or portion sizes, work on their menu a little they could be in the 4 stars range.

Fantastic food and brilliant service. A small space, I counted 22 seats, the atmosphere is great and it's means for a very intimate meal. The waitress was very knowledgeable on the different options available. A wide variety, authentically prepared, and cooked. Loved the open plan kitchen and watching the chef. Highly recommended. Prices are decent, i didn't think it was too expensive, and are deserving of the food and service received. Local to the restaurant, we will definitely be back and also look at takeaway options too.

Amazing little place. Food is fantastic.

We were staying overnight at the Travelodge nearby and looking for somewhere to eat. This didn’t seem a likely spot but we were drawn in by other reviews and were not disappointed. Smallish menu of meze but all were good and tasty. Mains are very meat based, not a lot for vegetarians, but, since meze came with loads of bread, filling up on starters was not a problem. Superb Turkish delight finished off a lovely meal. This is a real gem in this area and worth travelling out of the city centre for too.

Service from waitress was lovely young girl with dark hair, however food was overpriced and disgusting can tell staff are treat poorly.

Terrible management, treat staff poorly. Would never put money into this business again and would recommend that others don't either.

My first visit here with family for a birthday celebration, Staff were very friendly and helpful.. On arrival at the grill, the smell of the food hits you and makes you hungry to start. As it's an open grill, you can see and watch your food being prepared for cooking.. It's also quite a small restaurant, but that adds to its charm. The food was delicious and prepared traditional Turkish style. We all had a variety from the menu and it was all very good. Its not cheap but I wouldn't say overpriced either given the quality of food & service.. My only 3 star for atmosphere was due to the main door not shutting properly and it was cold inside, so we all mainly had our coats over our legs shoulders to keep warm..

Fabulous take away with so many tasty elements and attention to detail. A real treat!

We've been here a few times in the past, and tonight was just as good. It's a lovely cosy little restaurant, with a very pleasant atmosphere. There's never any rushing about here, very calm and relaxed. The food is amazing, we shared a meze for starters, which is huge (the bread is gorgeous) my husband had the mixed grill, and I had chicken wings, they don't skimp on portions! We were too full to even ask for the dessert menu, maybe next time. Can't wait to return 🙂

Visted for my wifes birthday with family after a recommendation, the aromas as you walk in remind you of holidays in Turkey. Compact restaurant with a nice touch and feel with an open kitchen where you can see the food being prepared, you are made to feel welcome and the service is very good. We had a selection of different dishes including vegetarian all were excellent, we would highly recommend a visit.

I would honestly say that this is the best Turkish cuisine place so far all around the UK! I'm the one who travel lots and a literally explorer vast amount of Turkish restaurants around the North Europe&UK...This place is relatively tiny,just few seat to welcome true food lovers but has a great impact to demonstrate real Turkish cuisene.The place has a oriental spirit that you can feel its vibe just after first step into...Quality of the foods are incredible smashing.Never hesitate to pop in and order any food whichever you consider.You'll never be regret. Best of best.

Engin's is a cosy independent Turkish restaurant where I have visited a couple of times and I can highly recommend. Their food is freshly prepared and good size portions. Everything delicious and the owners Engin and Gonul are great hosts too!

Really delicious Mezze and a lovely atmosphere! We tried most of the small plates and everything tasted so fresh & authentic, the stand out dish for me was the Mushroom one, loved the cheese and really different to anything I’ve tried before Our hosts were lovely and welcoming and it feels like such a cosy place with lots of warmth and love!

Disappointed. We arrived at the restaurant just before 7 and during our meal the 3 of us were cold. The food itself offers no value for money. The garlic mushroom starters were more like a cheese soup. Tasted really bland and didn’t seem to be any garlic in at all. The halloumi was 3 small pieces of cheese for £4.90. The cheese bread was low quality at £4.50 The mains was mixed shish at £16.50 and was just a few small pieces of meat with two chicken wings thrown in. It came with bread and rice but no offer of chips. Although it’s small place the restaurant does look quite cosy but it was cold inside with no music and you have to leave the back of the shop to enter the toilet. Wouldn’t return

Food was really nice but the evening was spoilt by the coldness of the restaurant. I had to put my coat on during my meal as did another diner. We asked to be moved away from the window and were moved near the bar but were still very cold. A shame as I'm sure if it had been warmer we would have enjoyed it more. Won't be returning in the winter.

Nice little spot on Handsworth Road. The food was excellent as was the service. Even the side salad is worth eating which is more than you can say for a lot of places. You can see it all being made. It's definitely a locals favourite.

This place never fails to impress. Small cosy venue with a big heart....from the wonderful staff to the amazing food.. I have recently visited twice once for family 80th celebration where we had the venue to ourselves and everyone had a fantastic meal . Then last night just rwo of us were treated to the fantastic mixed grill. From the first bite we were impressed by the taste, tenderness of the meal. The takouts are a favorite. A joy and I'll be back

The food In this place is amazing and the service was spot on. The only reason I have rated it four instead of five is where you're eating is very cold to relax and enjoy your meal. This is the only reason it would stop me going back.

This restaurant, ticks all the boxes, amazing food, friendly staff, nothing is too much for them. We celebrated a family party here, this venue made it extra special. Thank you. Definitely recommend.

This is a really understated restaurant. Food was excellent, wonderful Mediterranean flavours and all beautiful cooked and presented. Staff were lovely and friendly, service was excellent. Really good value and highly recommended

Enjoyed a delicious meal for two in lovely cosy modern restaurant last night. Engin and Lidia most welcoming and attentive. Enjoyed hummus, halloumi, lemon chicken and slow cooked lamb (sorry can't remember name but last thing on menu under main courses) served with bulgar wheat, delicious Turkish bread the best ever, and dressed salad. Really enjoyed it. Will definitely go again when next in Sheffield. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Booked a table and they claimed they called us to let us know they closed even tho they’ve closed more than 2 hours earlier. Had to change restaurants last minute

We live in the area and always see this place very full so had to try it. The food was incredible. The chef put effort into every individual dish, no one was let down in the slightest. I had the sea bass which was so creamy, fresh and flakey. The sides accompanied it perfectly. The atmosphere was great too, nice and small felt very authentic. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you for a great night.

We came here last night for the first time and it certainly won't be the last. The food was excellent, the best kebab I've ever had. All our meals were fantastic the chicken wings for starters were delicious as were the lamb ribs and humous. We had chicken kebabs and my son had a lamb kebab. The meat was succulent and tender, perfectly cooked. The meat and other ingredients you can tell are fresh, they are all cooked to order. The young lady who served us was lovely, efficient, polite and friendly as was the chef. I would highly recommend Engins to everyone, you won't get better Turkish food in Sheffield than this.

Great food but terribly small portion sizes. Compared to, say Zeguma (excellent Turkish) and other similar restaurants. It is very nice food, but very expensive and you get very little food. 4 pieces of chicken with a 20-quid mixed grill is not acceptable! Sort it out guys

Highly Reccommed this Little Place . Only seats around 24 but its worth it. The food was to die for Reasonable priced Serve Red Hot. The side Salad is Amazing . We didnt have pudding No room after a large Main Meal. We Nipped in while Passing But Id Recommend Maybe booking .

The charcoal kebab tastes great! The mixed grill almost brought me to Istanbul. The pide is also good, crispy and thin, although not in a boat shape. The only minus is that their place is so small, so you have to book in advance and pay cash. And again, £25 per person is nuts.

First time I’ve ever had Turkish food…. I rarely give anywhere 5 stars as it really takes a lot for me to be wowed (I’m nothing special, I just love food). This place really is great! And the chap that cooks all the food, what an absolute inspiration of a hard working, creative person who’s clearly passionate about his incredible Turkish flavours. From the cosy warm, rustic decor (which I love!) to the service of the girl who served us and of course the food…. Engins, you’ve really really impressed us and I thank you for your amazing food and just everything that went with it

Amazing, authentic food. Never fails to deliver. The Mixed Grill is unreal and I would recommend this to anyone, the meat is extremely fresh and tasty. Also the Mixed Meze is amazing, particularly the Chicken Wings, they are the best I have ever tasted! Definitely a regular visit for us to Engins!

We love Engin's 💕 This is the old Envers location but the chef is still the same chef with the most amazing food. It's nice to see Engin has now taken over this restaurant and made it his own. Fabulous, small restaurant with an intimate...

Portion size rather small for the price, but that aside, food lacks seasoning, chicken is a bit rubbery, and, in all honesty, its all very average. Mavi Ruya, for comparison, is in another league. And regular cheap kebab not much worse.

2nd visit tonight, food was outstanding lemon chicken was our favourite however the chicken wings oh my gosh. Friendly and very welcoming, looking forward to another visit.

We've eaten in at Envers previously but we had a takeaway at the weekend. Mixed kebab, 2 x chicken and one vegetable kebab. We also tried the pide bread. Excellent. Tasty. Fresh. The pide bread was amazing. I'd recommend it If you haven't tried Envers 👍

Family of 5 we all enjoyed our meals all ordered different options. No fault, lovely To say its run on two staff they really work hard and professional well done. Will revisit.
