A long overdue catch up with friends on a very busy Saturday night. Decided to include a surprise early birthday celebration with the help of Nicola and her team. We loved it all the atmosphere, the unobtrusive service but mostly the fantastic Tapas. There is something for everyone on the menu and believe me we tried our fair share of different dishes. Thank you team Volare for making our evening so special

We waited 55 minutes for our food despite the restaurant not being that busy and having no warning about any delay. The food itself (when it eventually arrived) was tasty but the service was really bad, with no one interested in taking our order or checking on us at any point. This was topped off by a bizarre interaction with the waiter when I ordered a bottle of Peroni, who tried to make me change my order to an Efes. I get it, it's a Turkish beer and a nice one, I just happen to prefer Peroni. It then arrived pre-poured in a half-pint glass and there was no sign of the rest of my 330ml bottle, which we were charged for in full. Luckily, I was spared the embarrassment a second time because no one ever came back to offer me another drink when I finished it. We could have just come on a bad day, other reviews are largely positive, but we didn't get more than a cursory apology or even a thank you and goodbye when we left. Overall, this was some of the worst service I've ever had eating out.

We received a warm welcome and enjoyable Turkish cuisine here. There's plenty to choose from, including a good vegetarian range and wine from Turkey itself. Leave room for baklava, if you love a proper dessert! We'd love to return

We have been for cocktails after film matinees at the nearby Ritz cinema. The longest cocktail menu I have ever seen and many are unknown to us but equally delicious. Have eaten dinner once and that was good as there are choices to suit everyone. Staff are also lovely. We will continue to go.

Lovely Middle Eastern Mediterranean restaurant. Home made bread and gorgeously seasoned meat! The chicken is organic and everything is home made! Gorgeous mint and green tea offered after our meal also. I would definitely recommend the visit .

Had to check it out after hearing good reports. Had a fantastic meal here. Very plentiful, fresh grilled meat. The Pide was amazing and a first for us. Would recommend.

Have walked past The Great Cyrus many times as it’s in my neighbourhood, thought we’d try it as a January treat. The service and food were excellent; great hummus and amazing king prawn kebab, also delicious Turkish coffee. Good wine list. If you like Darvish on Roundhay Road, you’ll love this!

Both of us had Mediterranean Salad, shared Sweet Potato Fries. Really nice, healthy lunch, great tastes and good sized portions. Inexpensive too. Will definitely return.

The square meal offers an ideal solution for those looking for an alternative and inexpensive lunch as the Square Meal offers fantastic value for money. The traditional Greek food was tasty and presented well and the owner was both helpful and accommodating. Upstairs is a clean and comfortable room which has recently been opened to dine in. The menu offered a good selection and the food exceeded our expectations The service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for the food to come. I will definitely be returning and will be interested to try the breakfast menu which is on its way.

Superb food, very popular, always busy.

Very kindly slotted the two of us in without a reservation. The six dishes (chicken, meat balls, salad, bread & oils, prawns & another) we chose were just the right amount. And try the lemon meringue to finish & you won't be disappointed. Again, the service was exemplary - there must be something about Richmond.
