The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Fabulous tasty food, service was amazing even though it was very busy, always someone there to check when we wanted more food/drink, all waiters were happy which was nice to see!

We called in for a late lunch and were lucky enough to get a table straight away. There was a warm welcoming atmosphere and staff were friendly and efficient. We ordered a selection of tapas which were all excellent and portion sizes were just right. Good value for money and would highly recommend.

We went to Efe’s for a late supper (around 9pm) on a Saturday night after a long day of travel. There were four of us and all the tables were filled. The food was delicious. We had Efes Special Mixed Grill and the Haloumi starter. We loved it. The food was served hot and seasoned to perfection. For wine, we had the house red and it tasted great as well. We liked Efes so much that we decided to book a table for the next night as well. If you’re in Harrogate, don’t skip Efes Bar and Grill! Best to make a reservation though as we were just lucky to get in.

I recently visited at Volare, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the warm and friendly staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The tapas selection was fantastic, with a great variety of fresh and flavourful dishes. Each plate was beautifully presented, and the flavours were spot on. Amazing value for the quality of food and service. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable.

We received a warm welcome and enjoyable Turkish cuisine here. There's plenty to choose from, including a good vegetarian range and wine from Turkey itself. Leave room for baklava, if you love a proper dessert! We'd love to return

We have been for cocktails after film matinees at the nearby Ritz cinema. The longest cocktail menu I have ever seen and many are unknown to us but equally delicious. Have eaten dinner once and that was good as there are choices to suit everyone. Staff are also lovely. We will continue to go.

Tuve que comprobarlo después de escuchar buenos informes. Tuvimos una comida fantástica aquí. Muy abundante, carne fresca a la parrilla. El Pide fue increíble y la primera vez para nosotros. Lo recomendaría.

Have walked past The Great Cyrus many times as it’s in my neighbourhood, thought we’d try it as a January treat. The service and food were excellent; great hummus and amazing king prawn kebab, also delicious Turkish coffee. Good wine list. If you like Darvish on Roundhay Road, you’ll love this!

Both of us had Mediterranean Salad, shared Sweet Potato Fries. Really nice, healthy lunch, great tastes and good sized portions. Inexpensive too. Will definitely return.

La comida Square ofrece una solución ideal para aquellos que buscan una alternativa de almuerzo y comida barata como la Plaza ofrece una fantástica relación calidad-precio. La comida tradicional griega era sabrosa y bien presentada y el dueño era servicial y complaciente. Arriba hay una habitación limpia y cómoda que ha sido abierto para cenar. El menú ofrecía una buena selección y la comida superó nuestras expectativas el servicio era amable y no tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo para la comida. Sin duda volveré y serán interesados a probar el menú de desayuno que está en camino.

Súper sabrosa comida de buena calidad, los postres son deliciosos y diferentes elaborados por el propietario, y además, ¡el café es excelente! Toda la comida es fresca por los propietarios! ¡Remolinos asombrosos también! Lo recomiendo altamente .

Lovely Middle Eastern Mediterranean restaurant. Home made bread and gorgeously seasoned meat! The chicken is organic and everything is home made! Gorgeous mint and green tea offered after our meal also. I would definitely recommend the visit .

This was our first visit to Askims and we went for a birthday celebration. The online reservation system is very easy and from the minute you go in, you feel really welcome. Lots of staff around, all very friendly and smiley. It was very busy all the time we were there and the service was still faultless. I had chicken shish, my husband had mixed kebabs and my son had the vegetable imam bayildi - all the food was beautiful. Not sure how they make the bulgur taste so good (when I do it, it's shocking stuff). The complementary flatbread and dips was a lovely touch. We'll definitely be back - wish we'd gone sooner!

Very disappointing I could of cooked better at home , no atmosphere not as enjoyable as it could of been ,over priced food the nicest thing was the mussels ( no bread served with the mussels)and sea food platter , sorry won’t be returning.
