Efes Bar and Grill in Harrogate

We waited 55 minutes for our food despite the restaurant not being that busy and having no warning about any delay. The food itself (when it eventually arrived) was tasty but the service was really bad, with no one interested in taking our order or checking on us at any point. This was topped off by a bizarre interaction with the waiter when I ordered a bottle of Peroni, who tried to make me change my order to an Efes. I get it, it's a Turkish beer and a nice one, I just happen to prefer Peroni. It then arrived pre-poured in a half-pint glass and there was no sign of the rest of my 330ml bottle, which we were charged for in full. Luckily, I was spared the embarrassment a second time because no one ever came back to offer me another drink when I finished it. We could have just come on a bad day, other reviews are largely positive, but we didn't get more than a cursory apology or even a thank you and goodbye when we left. Overall, this was some of the worst service I've ever had eating out.

We went to Efe’s for a late supper (around 9pm) on a Saturday night after a long day of travel. There were four of us and all the tables were filled. The food was delicious. We had Efes Special Mixed Grill and the Haloumi starter. We loved it. The food was served hot and seasoned to perfection. For wine, we had the house red and it tasted great as well. We liked Efes so much that we decided to book a table for the next night as well. If you’re in Harrogate, don’t skip Efes Bar and Grill! Best to make a reservation though as we were just lucky to get in.

I came up from Leicester and heard very good things about this restaurant. We was greeted straight away at the door by Hakan with a smile and a friendly attitude. We was kindly seated and offered menus not rushed and we had the halloumi to start and chicken marmaris for main. The service was brilliant and you could tell the food was freshly prepared and made with care and attention. The vibes were brilliant and i couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thank you Efes

We we're seated on the terrace as it was a warm summer's evening. Ordered the 3 course set meal, everything cooked was fresh & tasty, the meats were so tender & juicy. The staff were very polite & attentive. Great value for money..will be back ASAP ( their baklava has my name on it)😋
