Great little indie restaurant in Leeds. Nice vibe and excellent food. The chorizo in wine is excellent as were the sardines. Give this place a try, won't be disappointed.

We booked La Taberna as the restaurant for our wedding celebration as it is one of our favourite restaurants. Andres, Vivi and the team were super accommodating and did everything we asked for. The food was delicious as always and received several compliments from our guests. Overall they are great value for money and we can't wait to visit again and would recommend La Taberna to anyone.

Our son just moved to Leeds and after a very long day, we've decided to rest and enjoy food in La Taberna. From the 1st moment to the last second we felt like being welcomed by a long missing friend. Food, wow food-feast for your senses and service.....hmm absolutely PERFECT. Our next visit in Leeds will definitely end up in LaTaberna.

The best tapas in Leeds 100%! UNREAL food! Highly recommend the aubergine fritters (life changing), the croquettes, the prawns and the chorizo. Really friendly staff and a great atmosphere. But of a hidden spot but the food is outstanding

After reading reviews on TripAdvisor I chose la Taberna for lunch. My wife had just finished work that morning and after 46 years had finally retired. What a brilliant venue. The staff were superb and the Tapas was fantastic. The Chorizo in red wne and honey was superb. It was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Cannot fault the place and will be going back again. Thank you La Taberna for a memorable lunch

Me and my partner came for my birthday meal. As soon as we stepped in we were greeted by the warm, welcoming staff who helped us decide on what to eat and aided to our every need. The food was beautiful! with such generous portions, definitely worth every penny.

Amazing food. We had 6 tapas, a couple of beers and a couple of glasses of wine. Less than £100 👍🏻 It was fairly quiet but the service was fabulous. Highly recommended.

Had an amazing time here at La Taberna last night (7/6/24) for a date night. Excellent service, we were so surprised how quickly the food came out after we ordered it! The highlights for us was the Pan Tumaca, Gambas Al Ajillo and the Sardinas… but every dish served was incredible. Would highly recommend!

Wow. What a find. My wife and i ate here Saturday 1/6/24 the surroundings were great plenty of room not stacked on top of each other. The food was/is out of this world. Front of house staff were so professional and friendly. Would we come again? You bet. We cannot wait.

First time eating here and really enjoyed it. The service was great and relaxed but attentive and the dishes I had were very tasty and fresh. I particularly enjoyed the sardines and the chicken rolls. I will definitely be coming back (if not for the delicious sangria!)

A great pick from so many eateries in Leeds. A short easy walk from the centre. Down the steps and into a lovely welcoming atmosphere. This smallish but intimate venue is superb. Well spaced tables with low noise make a fabulous place to eat, particularly if you are 'into' tapas/Spanish style dining. A good range of very well prepared and presented food. Tasted delicious too. Overall price for food, drink, atmosphere and quality of service is good value. We shall return.

Went here for valentines day two years in a row and is always as expected! lovely staff, quick service and amazing food. I would say the prices are very reasonable for the quality and sangrias were amazing!

Was looking for a meal out for my husbands birthday whilst we were staying in leeds overnight and stumbled across this place. Booked for 4 and every dish was absolutely wonderful. Food came out as it was cooked as you would expect with tapas. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. We also had prosecco and sangria. We were surprised when the bill came at how reasonably priced it was. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will definitely visit this hidden gem on our next visit to leeds!

Got recommended this place and so glad we went. The waiter was lovely and explained everything without over pushing too much food in us. Omg the beef skewers off the special board, the aubergine and the croquettes were amazing. And their homemade creme brulee was gorgeous to finish. Washed it all down with sangria which was perfect. Will definitely be going back here soon.

Lovely staff, food is 10/10 and the value is really good, wouldn’t go anywhere else for tapas! Well seasoned, full of flavour and cooked perfectly our favourites are the octopus (pictured) the Chorizo & patatas bravas (pictured) tried the lamb for the first time and very juicy and flavourful, the aubergine fritters were also a lovely first time try!

We loved our visit to La Taberna! The tapas was delicious, the service quick and friendly, and it was a lovely atmosphere down some steps. We had the aubergine, pulpo, tortilla, and calamari. All winners! Apparently the wine chorizo, and Catalan desert are also amazing. Next time!

Absolutely loved La Taberna in Leeds.. The first time we have visited and we will be back again. The staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The delicious food was delivered at a steady pace, not all at once like some tapas restaurants, which was really appreciated. The portion sizes were spot on. Highly recommended.

First time coming here, I saw Leeds Indulgence (food reviewer on Insta) recommended this place and it was amazing. 4 of us went for my birthday and everyone loved it. We will definitely be going back here, such a hidden gem! The chorizo and the aubergine fritters were stand out dishes for us but it was all amazing! Service was excellent, everyone was very friendly and cheery, lovely music on, great atmosphere!

The food and service was excellent. A real authentic Spanish vibe. It's beautifully decorated and cozy. We had the homemade toast with jam and manchego, patatas, prawns, chorizo, sardines, and aubergine fritters, all of which were delightful and full of flavour. The chorizo in particular was to die for, I've been dreaming about it ever since. The sangria is always a must when eating tapas. I would certainly return. Thank you team Taberna.

Everything was so amazing!! Planning to come back soon!!! We went for my boyfriends mums birthday and everything was perfect. We really wanted a place that can make it feel special and this place did exactly everything! The food the atmosphere and the service was all brilliant. We ordered nearly everything off the menu all to share and everything we found incredible. She was really happy and so was you ! Would recommend this place to anyone especially for a special event. Unfortunately didn't get pictures of the food because we was busy eating it all.

What a fabulous place. Went last night for the first time and will definitely be going back. Food was lovely and tasty. The service was second to none. I was even able to practice my Spanish!! No photos, but we had Gambas, filete, tortilla, chuletas de cordero patata bravas, beef skewers (specials), churros and a bottle of wine!!

Lovely hidden restaurant, great atmosphere and a very welcoming team providing quick service. Food was tasty and fresh, full of flavour, but unfortunately very salty ! I recommend the octopus dish and aubergine fritters. This place is on the pricier side but a great meal out for an occasion. The recommended 5 plates were not quite filling enough for two people. A lovely evening spent here though, I would come back!

Amazing authentical food. Every dish (7 out of 7) was great. Meats were tender and juicy. Patatas crispy and spicy. Aubergine absolutely crazy - sweet, salty and piping hot. Same with chorizo and spot on croquettas. We followed the recommendations of 3 taps per head and that's perfect amount. We spent £75 in total with drink and desert and was absolutely worth it. We'll be back again.

フラッと行ってみたのですが、時間が早めだったのもあり運良く入れました。次々にお客さんがきてあっという間に満席！納得の美味しさでした。一人につき前菜1品タパス3品くらいをおすすめされましたが、日本人4人（男性3女性1）でタパス8品＋前菜2品＋ワイン2本でちょうどピッタリお腹も気持ちも大満足という感じでした。

美味しいタパスのお店。評価が良いのも納得。タパスは20種類くらい。あとはワインなど飲み物、デザート。辛いポテト、お通しのパンに付いてきたトマト味のソースがとても美味しかったです。ひとり3品くらいがいいよと店員さんに言われましたが、2品とお酒でちょうどよかったです。閉店早めなので気をつけてください。 今回は予約無しで入れましたが、人気なので予約したほうが良さそう。半地下で、入口は階段です。

A hidden gem. Great tapas that is served when ready meaning not all your dishes arrive at once and tremendous service. Also nice to dine in a rested in which the tables are nicely spaced out.

Una maravilla! Possibly my new favourite spot in Leeds. The food is outstanding - the flavour of the jamón in the jamón croquetas came through perfectly balanced, and the aubergine was top notch. The service was amazing, so friendly, fast and professional - and great value for money as well. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful! The food the atmosphere the surroundings… had a meal there last night and was not disappointed. With drinks only came to £103 for 2 of us and we ate well! Actually we ordered too much. I loved that they recommended 3 plates per person but we like our food so did 4 😂 I won’t butcher the names but the steak, the chorizo and the chicken rolls were the main event for me. Manchengo cheese was so delicious and the jam!!! Oh em gee! Also first time having sangria in my life and it will continue to be a favourite. Thank you to the staff for a memorable evening. I was so full but will be coming back for the churros as I just couldn’t eat any more. Never thought I’d say that sentence ever! Oh and the sardines!!! I need to try the sardines!!! 😂 Can’t recommend this restaurant enough.

This is the most authentic Spanish tapas place i have found since coming back from Spain, I found the quality to be very satisfactory, beautiful chorizo in wine sauce, tortilla soft with amazing allioli sauce, sizzling gambas pil pil. Just amazing I’ve had very few good tapas in the Uk this is top of my list. It is as other reviews say a hidden gem. They are actually Spanish which does help and it is served in the authentic way tapas should be it comes out a bit at a time. 👍👍👍

First time visit. Plenty of choice and the food tasted delicious. Took advice on the number of dishes to choose, 3 each. Mix of vegetarian, meat and fish options. My only negative comment would be for a reasonable quiet Saturday lunch the music was a little loud. Other than that, a great Tapas restaurant is a stones throw from the train station.

Went with very high expectations but disappointed. Didn’t know where do the rates come from, the food was not bad but for the price I can get better tapas surely at other Spanish restaurants. Service: this must be one of the worst service I’ve ever had in a restaurant, thanks to the servers I had such a bad day.

Iron steak is beautiful and brilliant that you have to try. If you expect crispy bread with tomato on top then you have to lower your expectations here. The bread is truly in British. The garlic prawn is okay, normal range. The glass of red wine is good.
