I was disappointed with this visit as highly rated, I went for afternoon lunch - the service was ok although quite slow on the food and missed a dish order. The food itself all felt quite cheap, and wasn’t anything special considering the cost - disappointing

Had a fantastic dinner at La Taberna! Ordered Sardinas, it was perfectly cooked, the Spanish omelette was spot on, and the croquettes were crispy. Gambas, steak, and churros made it a perfect meal!

I had found this wonderful place on Trip Advisor as was meeting a friend for lunch in the city. What a lovely warm welcome, great food and a wonderful atmosphere (loved the Spanish black pudding)!

We enjoyed a lovely meal here recently. The restaurant is intimate and definitely has an authentic Spanish vibe. The menu had all the classic tapas dishes plus more. We tried 6 between two of us and we struggled to finish them. The dishes are on the pricier side, but well worth it as they are cooked fresh, and are delicious. Would definitely recommend the chorizo and the prawns as they were our favourite dishes. The staff were really attentive and helpful with explaining the menu etc. A great place for a date night or to bring friends and family, just make sure you book!

Tapas isn't something I generally go for, but my wife has always wanted to give it a go, and we were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the restaurant is great. It's nice and small, and does feel overly crowded. We especially enjoyed the croquettes, patatas bravas, and the toast with cheese and jam.

Me and my husband ate here on Saturday, this is honestly the best Tapas restaurant I have ever been to!! The food is so tasty, the service was excellent and the authentic atmosphere of the place really make it a must restaurant to visit.

Delicious tapas - some of the best i’ve had in the UK. Would highly recommend the Pintxo la casa , the croquettes and the Chorizo al vino. Really top level service - perfect balance between being friendly and giving you space to talk and eat . Very atmospheric and quaint place, perfect for a date night .

Staff are really friendly. The food 😋 so flavoursome. Each dish was stunning. My favourite was the lamb chops and the Spanish sausage.

Hands down the best tapas I've ever eaten. La Taberna quickly became one of my favorite restaurants after visiting recently. Every dish was of a super high quality and made of the freshest ingredients. This place is miles ahead of a lot of tapas restaurants in surrounding areas. The sangria was crisp and refreshing, staff were attentive and friendly. Just an all around faultless experience and I look forward to visiting in the future.

Had a lovely lunch here, it’s a small menu plus a few specials, what we had was really good I particularly liked the black pudding and also the fried aubergine with dark honey and cinnamon we shared 6 plates and a bottle of white Rioja all for £87 including tip. Will definitely return to try out some of the other dishes!

La Taberna lived up to it's reputation. The staff are excellent and really devoted to ensuring you enjoy your meal. The food is delicious. Very fairly priced. Owner is really proud of his business and works hard to maintain his excellent reputation.

Excellent meal with a great choice of tapas. Some dishes that I've had before, albondigas, patatas braves but some different dishes, aubergines, lamb chops. Staff were very friendly. ¡Spanish wines, beers, and sangria! Shared churros con chocolate to finish. Good atmosphere in the basement restaurant.

Our first time in Leeds for the weekend and found this gem through reviews. Really lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk in, busy but with well spaced tables feels very comfortable. Welcoming staff who were helpful with the menu and haven’t hood suggestions. Small plates l, we shared 9 between 3 of us. All excellent! Would highly recommend!’

Everything was amazing, from the moment me and my family walked in the waiters were lovely and the food was 100/10. The waiting time isn't even long, and WOW. I'm so impressed at the chefs, all the food was on point, and we congratulated the team as we fortunately were some of the last to come out of the restaurant. It's literally a hidden gem in Leeds and I am DEFINITELY going back. By the way, the tapas by themselves are quite big, so roughly three is enough to fill you up :)

Meatballs were average, no taste Calamari were OK, I asked to some more alioli and was charged for it! The saviour was the steak, not a huge portion but was good quality meat and cooked as we had requested. The atmosphere felt authentic of a small back street tapas in Spain. Hence the 3 stars. We would not return or recommend on the basis or the quality of the ingredients used.

Amazing Tapas, great value for money we had 6 separate dishes with a glass of sangria for less than £100, the atmosphere here is relaxed and cosy you almost forget you’re in the city centre.

The best of the best!! My favourite restaurante in the whole country. So authentic. I am so glad this “local” has been given the recognition it deserves. I have been coming to this little taste of heaven for many years now and it gets better every time. The food speaks for itself. They have specials each time which are insanely good. The chorizo dish is the best chorizo al vino I have ever had in my life, considering I lived in Spain for a time. Nothing compares. The people are wonderful, greeting you with a smile and always checking in. The Latin music in the background creates a wonderful atmosphere. And to top it off the sangria both white and red are so delicious. The perfect place for a family gathering, date or catch up. Mi novio dijo “la comida aquí alimenta el alma” y es verdad.

Service was excellent. The decor is good, minimalist and uncluttered. The place feels warm. We visited during lunch time on Tuesday and it was quiet. Menu is not extensive. They have some unusual items in the tapas menu. I found some of the dishes a bit sweet.

A very amazing and quiet spot for people who want to enjoy tapas. Decor was really spot on and made you feel like you were in local Spain. The staff greeted us with a smile and a great attitude. The food is fantastic and you can really tell the chef puts so much effort into each meal. We enjoyed that much we didn't want to leave, would definitely come back again and recommend for anyone who would love a quiet date night.

Great food, lovely little venue and the most helpful and polite staff you could expect to come across.

We booked La Taberna as the restaurant for our wedding celebration as it is one of our favourite restaurants. Andres, Vivi and the team were super accommodating and did everything we asked for. The food was delicious as always and received several compliments from our guests. Overall they are great value for money and we can't wait to visit again and would recommend La Taberna to anyone.

Our son just moved to Leeds and after a very long day, we've decided to rest and enjoy food in La Taberna. From the 1st moment to the last second we felt like being welcomed by a long missing friend. Food, wow food-feast for your senses and service.....hmm absolutely PERFECT. Our next visit in Leeds will definitely end up in LaTaberna.

After reading reviews on TripAdvisor I chose la Taberna for lunch. My wife had just finished work that morning and after 46 years had finally retired. What a brilliant venue. The staff were superb and the Tapas was fantastic. The Chorizo in red wne and honey was superb. It was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Cannot fault the place and will be going back again. Thank you La Taberna for a memorable lunch

Me and my partner came for my birthday meal. As soon as we stepped in we were greeted by the warm, welcoming staff who helped us decide on what to eat and aided to our every need. The food was beautiful! with such generous portions, definitely worth every penny.

Had an amazing time here at La Taberna last night (7/6/24) for a date night. Excellent service, we were so surprised how quickly the food came out after we ordered it! The highlights for us was the Pan Tumaca, Gambas Al Ajillo and the Sardinas… but every dish served was incredible. Would highly recommend!

Wow. What a find. My wife and i ate here Saturday 1/6/24 the surroundings were great plenty of room not stacked on top of each other. The food was/is out of this world. Front of house staff were so professional and friendly. Would we come again? You bet. We cannot wait.

First time eating here and really enjoyed it. The service was great and relaxed but attentive and the dishes I had were very tasty and fresh. I particularly enjoyed the sardines and the chicken rolls. I will definitely be coming back (if not for the delicious sangria!)
