Had a wonderful family meal and the staff was so helpful at catering for such a large group, food was got and tasty and the desserts finished off our lovely meal

I visited this place with family and found the food and atmosphere very agreeable. The waiters were friendly, funny and efficient, the food very good and prices reasonable. I started with whitebait, because I don't get to eat them often enough and went on to enjoy a tomato-based stew of chicken and smoked sausage whose name escapes me now. Around the table, we more or less covered the entire menu. It went pretty quiet for a while, so I'd say folk were happy. I'd describe the food as homey rather than refined, but refinement is not my first priority. The portions were generous, the flavours good. What else do you expect? Personally, I'd have bunged a few black olives in the stew, but that may well be tantamount to treason in Anatolia. What do I know? For extra details, there is parking at the rear, two of our party are vegetarian and felt well served, but I would phone ahead before arriving with a wheelchair because it was pretty packed when we were there. All in all, a good place to enjoy a cheerful meal with friends and still have change for the ride home.

Food and service is amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The restaurant was really busy but the service was still very good, we did not have to wait long to be served. The staff is super friendly too!

This is a warm, welcoming and friendly restaurant. It offers real consistency in terms of high quality service and food. There is a god choice of starter and main courses; always delivered to a high standard. We have been here many times and never been disappointed. It offers value for money, when many restaurants are becoming unaffordable. We highly recommend this local restaurant.

After previous visit to this restaurant we were looking forward to dining again for a special birthday meal What a dissapointing evening OK it was busy but has been before with no problems Waited 20 mins before even asked for a drinks order then even longer to take our order 30 mins for starters to arrive Then unbelievable 1.30 hours after for mains to arrive absolute disaster When food arrived looked like it just been thrown onto plates and very tasteless Apologies given chef on holiday new girl getting orders wrong till not working properly Absolute rubbish people who came in well after us being served Unfortunately after nice meals here would really have to think about going back 2hrs waiting for food ridiculous

Went for a birthday celebration with the family. Lovely venue, friendly and helpful staff and excellent food. Portions were a little small but the quality was very good. We will definitely return!

The food is delicious. We had the meze for two including starters and mains, you just can't go wrong with the assortment . The flavours are just perfect. The service was amazing. The waiters were attentive, friendly and very accommodating.The restaurant is clean and modern with an inviting atmosphere.

Would highly recommend this restaurant. Every time I have been there. There has never been anything wrong with the food. The staff are polite and the food is great value.

Called early evening with partner. The restaurant had approximately 8 other guests. The server was helpful and explained the deals and offers available as well as answering questions. Food was excellent and beyond our expectations.

Lamb moussaka was next level...as was the tiramisu!

Enjoyed the starter of spicy liver and main course of moussaka very much. No atmosphere away from our table of diners, but it was lunchtime and no-one else was in apart from us. Shame, as it's a good venue for a lunchtime meal.

As is usual for this time of year – time for our annual visit to the Agora on Christmas Eve to enjoy the wonderful fayre this restaurant has to offer. Warmly welcomed on a cold blustery evening and arriving somewhat windswept, we were shown through to our table which was very nicely positioned in the window next to a lovely warm radiator! As is the norm, we ordered a bottle of Cankaya to be followed by starters of Prawn cocktail and Lamb Keftedes. Mains of choice on this occasion were the seabass feta and Adana. Starters suitably delivered they were well presented and nice and hot. My keftedes were smothered in rich tomato sauce were very tasty. Sue’s prawn cocktail was also very good, lots of plump prawns with flavoursome Marie Rose sauce. The bread that was supplied separately was used to good effect to mop up the excess sauce with all dishes left spotless before being returned to the kitchen. A short while later the mains were delivered. The seabass was very good, two fillets stuffed with feta accompanied with potatoes and vegetables. My Adana was also lovely, nice flavoursome kebab on a bed of rice and small side salad. As always both dishes were enjoyed very much with plates left devoid of all that went before. Another very nice meal at The Agora, really lovely friendly hosts with whom we enjoyed chatting very much supported by tasty well presented food that provides a real taste of the Mediterranean. We had a delicious takeaway Middle Eastern feast for five a couple of weeks - the full range of fresh-flavoured and vibrant hot and cold mezze dishes, enjoyed by toddlers, parent and grandparents alike! Just enough left for a fine set of lunchtime nibbles the next day….. Really friendly place, easy to order, full range of dishes on offer (all our favourites, and Middle Eastern food is probably our absolute favourite cuisine), and food all available promptly to collect. We’ll definitely come back here again - perhaps a bit messy still to eat in with the littlest one, but more takeaways for sure. Thank you, guys, and see you again!

Not only I was disappointed, but I also got stomach issues when I got home, practically I spent the night and the following day in the bathroom. I had babaganush, which was very tasty, but the portion was very small and served with ordinary bread instead of pitta. The main was terrible: six cubes of grilled chicken on top of boiled rice. I think the culprit was the chicken, as it wasn't properly cooked. The prices are very high compared to the amount of food you get. This restaurant won't see me again!

Our go to restaurant for all occasions, we couldn’t recommend the Agora more highly! Incredible food, lovely staff and a welcoming atmosphere.

We tried the Agora on a recommendation from friends - and what a superb choice it turned out to be! From the friendly welcome on arrival to the service throughout our meal to the warm farewells, everything was first rate! And then there was the food - oh, the food! Beautifully cooked, presented and served, it really was beyond delicious: I hope they always keep the Fruity Lamb on the menu! Our excellent bottle of Montepulciano also complemented all our meals delightfully. Sadly, two generous courses had left us with no room for desserts, but those I saw being prepared looked mouthwatering. As a finishing touch, my Turkish coffee was served beautifully in delicate silverware: a feast for all the senses! I cannot recommend this restaurant too highly.

Saw some excellent reviews for here so gave it a try for my birthday meal out Great choice lovely modern place Fairly busy for a Monday Drinks sorted then two calamari and a haloumi for starters very tasty Onto mains two chicken souvlaki and a kleftiko for mains all very good but the kleftiko was amazing After a short rest we went fir dessert two tirramisu which were I am assured were superb and a vanilla cheesecake also excellent Service was good and no rush which we liked All in all a great birthday meal out excellent value as well and will give it another try soon

We went as a party of eight. Had the special offer 2 courses £18.95. My food was great. Spicy sausage starter and asana for mains. My dishes and everyone else's were very well plated up and looked not only delicious but smelled delicious as well. Pleasant and efficient service with some lovely Greek music playing in the background. A nice atmosphere,busy, but not overly so. A lucky find due to complicated circumstances. Glad we discovered the place and will definitely be back. If only for the cleftico the a couple of the others had,which looked superb.

We have been here a lot of times over the years and I thought it about time to review it. The food here is consistently good and of a high quality. The service is always good. Staff are warm & welcoming. It is good value for money. We do repeat visit because everything is reliable here.

We came for our daughters 18th, and mum & dads wedding anniversary. Family of 11. Extremely warm welcome, service was great and very accommodating. The food was from the 2 courses for £19, all beautiful as always. Food and service is consistent, lovely way to celebrate our day, thank you. Highly recommended

Last minute decision to book a Bank Holiday Monday dinner out, very please we got a table as was busy. Chilled relaxed atmosphere, cool and comfy. Attentive staff, with friendly approach. Great wide menu, which was 2 courses for £18.95, even though a bank Holiday. Delicious food, starters grilled halloumi and whitebait which we shared. Sea bream with feta and spinach, with potatoes and rice - really tasty and a large portion. Hubby had lamb stew with rice, also enjoyed it. Enjoyable evening, will be back!

Love this place, the food, the welcoming staff, the drinks - beer for him Cankaya wine for me, mmmmmm. The atmosphere here is always happy, whether 2 in or 20 and the prices charged are just right. We just wish it was closer th home ❤️

We discovered this gorgeous restaurant a few months ago, and what an amazing find it turned out to be! Firstly we were welcomed by the most loveliest owners, this restaurant is so warm and welcoming. We have now been 3 times and the food just gets better and better. The service is spot on too. Cannot praise this lovely restaurant enough. 5 star all the way! Just booked our 4th visit for hubby's birthday. If you want authentic owners and amazing food then i would highly recommend.

My wife and I went here tonight and all I can say is the food was lovely. We often drive past this place and wondered when we’d get the chance to pop in, it’s on a busy road but does have its own car park at the rear. We went at 5.30 and were the first guests in I believe. It’s was naturally quiet due to the time but soon started getting more people coming in. My wife and I had the specials £18.99 for 2 courses, you can pay an extra £3 supplement for certain dishes as we did but I can safely say is definitely worth it. We had the Halloumi and Mücver for starters and for mains the Moussaka and Salmon with King Prawns Will definitely be back here again. Great food, service was good and atmosphere perfect for a quiet dinner. Thanks folks

The best seafood platter I’ve ever had! Absolutely delicious

Met several friends here for lunch , so difficult choosing from the wide menu , everyone's food looked delicious and everyone was delighted with their choices. I do need to mention the garlic mushrooms tho , which were unbelievably delicious - the cream sauce was sublime . Lovely friendly staff too , a wonderful experience , to be highly recommended!

Reasonable food & experience, had an issue with one of the dishes having a funny taste throughout it, thought it my be the dish it was served in. We managed to get the meal taken off the bill but staff and chef were rather defensive about it rather than being able to reason with us about how we were describing the taste, again they did knock the meal off so that was good overall. I wouldnt not go again but its not high on my list.

I visited 3 times. The first 2 visits the food was lovely and customer service was excellent. The last visit we ordered a seafood sharing platter. The mussels tasted like sewage. I thought it was just me until my husband told me the same after we left. We should've fed it back to the restaurant, as they were probably bad, luckily we did not eat them. The parking around the back is very tight.

The staff were helpful, and the food was gorgeous. Will definitely be going back.

Popped In on off-chance, looking for food to take home. They could not have been more accommodating despite full to capacity. We were never rushed & nothing was too much trouble. This alone warrants 5 stars. Imagine my satisfaction arriving home to find the food was ample & delicious. Good vegetarian options, ample proportions, marginally expensive but worth every penny. I will definitely return & gladly recommend

Took my wife for her birthday, we don't go out much due to a disabled daughter.and wanted some us time. The staff, food and atmosphere was amazing. Would highly recommend for beautiful food in a nice chilled environment.

Usually very impressed but at the last visit the restaurant was COLD and some of our ladies were keen to leave to get warm as soon as we had finished. The lamb on my mixed souvlaki was flaversome but tough and had fat. Maybe a bad choice as other guests food seemed ok. Baklava dessert was nice but minimal portion. At £19 for 2 courses no longer 'good value' bearing in mind the above comments

13th at 6pm. Having looked at the agora on the reviews we thought we would push the boat out and have a really nice meal. The restaurant was warm and busy and we were seated promptly.The waiting staff were attentive but not pushy. We orded the cold meze which came with fairly small portions and nice soft bread.It was enjoyable but not superb. I ordered the tomato and aubergine stew which lacked a bit of flavour and came with white rice. My wife ordered vegetarian moussaka as we are both non meat eaters.She tucked in but to our dismay it was lamb so called the floor manager over.I explained we were non meat eaters but my wife did not want to cause embarrassment and said I would be ok as I had eaten half of my food and didnt want to eat sperately.The floor manager said he would replace it and said sorry then offered me the dish so it wouldn't be wasted. Again I explained I was a non meat eater and his attitude seemed to be one of lack of care and understanding. Food came within 10 mins but by this time I had finished my food so sat watching my wife eat her meal for 20 mins. When the bill came I asked for a good will gesture off the bill but was told by the manger it was not policy to do this. I asked if it was policy to serve meat to vegetarians and to let people sit with no food for 25 mins.I said if it was you what would you do,he said just accept it!As an attitude this was really unhelpful and by this time we were late for the theatre,but he said he had apologised so that was that. A free drink was offered but I was driving and late. £4 was taken off the bill which was an insult. So i won't be going back in a hurry which is a shame as the experience we had was poor and costed about £45. Maybe a look at floor manager training in customer expectations would be useful, as this fell far short of our expectations. I would appreciate a reply but difficult to contact the restaurant privately as there is no email address available. You go out for the experience and hope to have a lovely experience but not in this case.

Fabulous food and service. Lovely sunny weather felt like being on holiday in Greece.

My wife and I came for dinner and the atmosphere was great and the staff were helpful and professional. The food came quickly, we had the two course al carte menu. The lamb keftedes starter was okay, a bit bland but the sea bass fillets were delicious and saved the meal for me. My wife thought her Feta and olives were tasty. Would eat here again for the atmosphere and the main courses we had.
