Popped in for cava and nibbles , had the hummus, baba ganash , olives and feta , fried halumi , home made focaccia, large portions , everything homemade and so tasty , service excellent , great value ,
We had a meeting of our car club here, in total there was 13 of us. The food took a little while to come out, but when it did come to the table it was both fresh and hot.
The menu had quite an extensive selection on it, which can be a poor sign of fresh quality. Thankfully all the food was of a good quality. The menu had some imaginative dishes alongside the usual pub favourites like bangers and mash or fish and chips. I would be more than happy to make a return visit.
My wife and I found La Madeleine whilst having a wander around Herford. The place is an unassuming bistro on Church Street that served a very pleasant lunch, we went for the homemade quiche that came with salad and herbie potatoes, which proved to be very tasty. The service was polite, efficient and friendly. The establishment has a wonderful courtyard garden. All in all a great place to eat when visiting Hereford.
Not a premium experience, especially considering the price charged .
The dining room itself feels very dated and gives off 1980’s vibes . The Afternoon tea Menu itself had seen better days , slightly sticky and curled at the edges and that really set the tone .
The sandwiches were , well pretty dull and felt like they’d been made some time before . The cakes promised more than they delivered , however the scones were terrific !
When my tea was delivered , the waitress made a point of saying that they used loose leaf tea … fabulous indeed , however the second pot had a cheap Euro style tea bag shoved into the the leaf chamber ! Not premium!
Service was slow and a bit disinterested.
I certainly won’t be returning for Afternoon Tea . I would try the a la carte menu to see how it compares with other fine dining establishments in the area
I'm a big fan of Yum Nua (beef salad) and will travel miles for this dish. The restaurant I regularly used to go to in Nantwich dropped it from their menu (and lost my custom in the process)
I was therefore excited to find it on the menu here and ordered a main course portion rather than a starter. Also without rice as I'm carb-watching.
It was exceptional - best I've had. Very decent portion too.
The steak was beautifully cooked (medium rare). Presentation was stunning.
The Tom Kha Gai (chicken soup) I had before was beautiful as well.
Good, friendly service as well. Khop Khun kha !
I've been coming to Leek for years now and just sorry I hadn't been here before. Very happy to have found my favourite salad again.
I will definitely be back.
Tried Chik Tikka starter Sat Night 1st time here, Tastless in general sauce was like milk ,charged xtra for some tastless chopped onion 1st time i never had free popadom or two most places do.Glad i never spent more
Very cold and unwelcoming, popped in for a quick coffee before my business meeting in the area.
The dark haired lady was very cold and unwelcoming, the coffee shop itself looked quite basic and smelt like a greasy cafe which was a shame, being the only one in the village and surrounding area I would have thought it would be much more warm and welcoming, the coffee is cheap and not the best.
I’m an avid coffee drinker and have coffees daily, I love to support little independent coffee shops wherever I am unfortunately not this one.
Our family recently dined at Undaal, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We ordered a variety of starters and curries including chicken tikka, lamb chops, and keema naan, and everything was served hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was prompt and friendly.
A special mention goes to Mo, who was incredibly attentive towards husband dietary requirements, ensuring we had everything we needed. His hospitality added a personal touch that made our visit even more enjoyable.
Undaal offered a wonderful dining atmosphere, delicious, authentic food, and excellent service. We will definitely will be returning!
Went for a late impromptu Friday night dinner. Service was very good, and helpful. Pie for my wife and the sea bass for myself, both were very good, hot and tasty.
A gorgeous little tucked away cocktail bar. The best cosmopolitan I've ever had. A wonderful and knowledgeable owner and extraordinary cocktails. Highly recommend you go through the black door.
