My wife and I found La Madeleine whilst having a wander around Herford. The place is an unassuming bistro on Church Street that served a very pleasant lunch, we went for the homemade quiche that came with salad and herbie potatoes, which proved to be very tasty. The service was polite, efficient and friendly. The establishment has a wonderful courtyard garden. All in all a great place to eat when visiting Hereford.

Sunny day so decided to sit outside in the enclosed garden, very good small menu choice which was most enjoyable with very quick and friendly service from the staff, a winner all day long.

This is an exceptionally consistent restaurant. The quiches are always so good and the specials never fail to impress. The wine selection is good and above all the atmosphere and service are top-notch. The mushrooms on toast are a firm favorite. Can't wait to return
