Dog friendly which is handy for when you want that cheeky pint.... friendly atmosphere and staff will definitely visit again

Lovely pub. Nearby the Glass Museum and Cone, but off the main Bridgnorth road.We popped in after a walk and thought it would be dead quiet. It was full of people, very warm and friendly with a great range of beers and also cobs. What's better than a pint of real ale and a cheese and onion cob in a friendly pub after a walk ? Nothing.

What a beautiful little gem of a proper black country pub. Bar, lounge and big beer garden. Holdens bitter on tap (best beer in the world) and a warm friendly environment. Definitely gonna go back for a proper sesh. Lovely place. 😊👍

We called in whilst visiting friends they recommended it good pub but had to sit outside due to friends having a dog up the steps as under cover was very smokey.

First time ever in this pub. Visited after going round Glass Museum on a Sunday afternoon. What a great littlr pub! Nearest place for something to eat and drink. Great beer selection and good, honest cobs! Bostin! Great relaxed, friendly feeling in the pub. Will certainly go back!

Very much a good old fashioned boozer. It was good really. Clean lines. Cheap. Had a lot of regulars which always tells you everything you need to know.

Superb little place and superb staff also, I tried the tiny rebel Battenberg ale, so good! They even gave me a takeaway carton so I could take it home! Would totally recommend going! You won’t be disappointed

Always a pleasure to visit. All staff are frendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is fantastic it's a proper pub. Plenty of choice in beers, cobs are superb. Well worth a visit.

2nd time I've been in , so friendly everyone who walked pasted said hello even though we didn't know them ,really recommend a good night out with outdoor covering and heating plus a outdoor bar

My boyfriend & I went to this pub first time ever today & it's only 15 min walk from our 🏠. The bar staff are friendly & they seem to attract a good crowd, not rowdy youngsters! Mixed ages all really comfortable atmosphere too. We discovered they stocked my favourite Robinson's cider here so I will definitely be back! Gud pub, old quaint, nice beer 🍻 garden out back & local to in my area.

It's no surprise to see that The Bird has won Camra West Mids pub of the year. We come here a lot nowadays, despite it being a bit further away from Stourbridge. The staff are very friendly, and the beer selection is brilliant. The inside of the pub is traditional, and there is a nice outdoors part with plenty of seating. The fact that the pub sits in a row of houses makes it interesting too. The beer is very reasonably priced, which is sure to encourage you back. 3 constant beers, and 3 changing guests whenever I've been. The Bird is a force to be reckoned with amongst the Stourbridge pub selection.

Warm friendly pub good atmosphere

Visited The Bird in Hand at Wordsley for the first time on 08 March 2022 after seeing interesting posts on their Facebook Site about the variety of interesting real ales. The Bird in Hand is very close to the glass 'cone' in Wordsley situated on a street corner of terraced houses. There is no car park but on street car parking is available close by. The Bird in Hand has a door at the front leading into 2 rooms left and right with the bar serving into both rooms. A door at the rear of each room leads to a corridor to the toilets and rear beer garden. We sat in the lounge bar on the right handside and had a well kept half of dark real ale - Northern Whisper Beltie Stout ( 4.8% / £3.20) . The Bird in Hand has rightly earned its place in the Camra Good Beer Guide . The staff were friendly and although busy the Bird in Hand was not packed . We highly recommend the Bird in Hand and I am looking forward to more visits in future.

I had been buying beer from here during one of the previous lockdowns as a take away but finally managed to cross the threshold today. A true proper pub as it should be. Excellent friendly service. Exceptional clean fresh tasting beer and a great atmosphere simply a must.

Bar far the best pub in wordsley

The most friendliest local with a great selection of real ale . The landlady has worked wonders during covid and she and all the staff work really hard to look after customers safely. Perfect if you are walking along the canal and want to stop off for a drink and a cob. Really really worth a visit if you haven't been before
