Amazing food as always! Wow the Shoulder of Lamb starter was tender, tasty, just fantastic. Roast Port divine, so was the Chicken. Staff attentive and friendly, atmosphere chilled and inviting. The Old Wharf Inn you are the best! Food you send out is always top class.

Brilliant. Everyone agreed. Only drawback the parking. The canal people don't like you parking, even though there was totally loads of room. I'm a boat owner myself but they're just mardy. Notwithstanding I'm a blue badge owner, another is 82 and heavily dependent on a stick and the other was wrestling two children under 3 into back seat childs seat. Shame on you. They leafleted us and said they were taking down out details. Lovely. Must remember to go back for a boat ride, noooot Again, everything about the Old Wharf once again splendid. Old Wharf first class.

Excellent service. Excellent quality food. Always like that they try to use local suppliers. Went for breakfast. Great variety of options. Lovely atmosphere. Coffee is always very good although don’t like drinking out of a glass. Tea. comes with a big teapot.

Went for Breakfast the past Saturday. Despite me not booking when I thought I had, like a fool, the staff were very helpful and found us seats regardless. The breakfast was the best I have had in the area, very much so looking forward to going back for lunch or dinner.

Fabulous Sunday lunch. The chicken was moist & delicious, cauliflower cheese really rich & great roast potatoes. Definitely one of the best Sunday lunches locally. Would highly recommend

Been wanting to try the food here for a long time. Have been here for drinks and love the vibe. Great music and a good mix of people. We do not have big appetites so decided to try the small plates only. Also I wanted to leave room for the great desserts! Needless to say they were more than big enough as a main for me. I had the mushrooms on brioche (the best I’ve ever had. Don’t tell the Mrs) and she had the Prawns on toast and we shared the burrata. The food is such great quality. Minimal ingredients, maximum flavour. The desserts were lovely too. I had the bread and butter pudding (smaller than expected but in a good way as I was already full). With the are being overrun with chain pubs and bar and grill style places we have been looking for an upmarket pub and this delivers on every level. I would eat here once a week if I could and change it up between breakfast, lunch dinner and Sunday roast which I’m sure would be equally as good. Can’t wait to return! Credit to the chef and team.

service and atmosphere was excellent. Food a bit of a let down for me with being such a high price. I had the pork which to me hadn't much taste, you would of expected it to had crackling, no joy it was a bit chewy. Also wasn't that impressed with the gravy, it seemed to take the taste away from everthing else on the plate which I had to put a lot of salt on to get some taste back. My wife had the beef which after tasting it I wish I had. Top marks for the dessert with having the honey pie with spicy crumble plus ice cream, I could of easily had another portion.

Been for a few meals and never been disappointed, top food, top ingredients, excellent service.

Food is average & overpriced for what you get. Much nicer brunch spots around. I’ve really wanted to like this place but I find the staff so miserable all the time. There is one woman that’s been there for a few years & she’s the least pleasant waitress I’ve ever encountered. Coffee is also not nice sadly.

Food and service was excellent. Limited menu but all we had was good. Staff very helpful. Just one gripe 10% service charge on foot of the bill it is discretionary but something to look out for. We always and did tip if we have good service. However not £25!

Service was amazing, very helpful with assisting with a member who had allergys. Food was full of flavour, hot, and left us wanting more. As a foodie, I am happy to recommend the 'The old wharf inn' to anyone who enjoys quality food at a lovely place.

First time we’ve been and wow. A busy Saturday night, bar staff and waitresses were attentive and polite. A good set of choices for starters mains and desserts but OMG the taste was delicious full of flavour. Be back soon!

Went for the best Sunday lunch, the meal was exceptional the roast. Beef was perfect and the horseradish sauce was home made. We had to book in advance as the demand was so high. The food is always fresh and the menu changes frequently. Staff are always friendly..

Lovely local pub run but friendly people.

Second time I have been and both times the meal has been delicious. Staff are efficient and friendly. It's a lovely little pub which serves beautiful food which has obviously been freshly cooked by someone who knows what they are doing.

You'll get the same beer a lot cheaper in other pubs in town. Premium price due to the location. The beer garden is nice but can be quite shaded by surrounding buildings.

Came here with my friend and has a fantastic experience. The staff were welcoming and very attentive. I had the cod with orzo, absolutely delicious and great portion size. My friend was catered for being a vegan and enjoyed it. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

It was quite a limited menu I did struggle to order - I eventually asked for a couple of changes to the chicken dish which they were happy to accommodate. The bench seats are very narrow and not comfortable to sit on. It was ok I was expecting more reading all the reviews. The staff were very friendly. Toilets smell very damp

We went for birthday lunch for 6 ( including 2veggies and 2 GF ) and without exception everyone was super impressed with the quality of our meals . Amazing flavours and presentation! We all came away full and satisfied!

Night out with the girls. Was really busy (Thursday). Glad we booked a table. Waiting staff were all attentive and helpful. Food was delicious!!! I had mussels... had to ask for a spoon so I could finish the amazing sauce! Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Definitely going back.

Great food, inital server was wonderful but when we got our food we were harassed 4 times if we'd finished. This was after being sat on a Wednesday evening at 8pm, not exactly crammed. Ruined the whole atmosphere of the evening. If I wanted fast food I'd have gone to spoons

Group of six for dinner. Great food and service. Busy place with atmosphere and not too loud. The Gressingham duck was my choice and very happy with the portion size and it was cooked perfectly for me.

Sunday lunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Nice setting, fabulous Sunday lunch with plenty of veg, tasty meat and gravy. Desserts not so great. Poached pear and bread and butter pudding a bit disappointing so need refining in terms of flavours and quality. Perhaps offer a smaller range of better quality desserts? There were at least half a dozen plus dessert options. I had pre warned the pub via email that one of our party was celiac (gluten free) however I was disappointed to find that the waitress was not aware of gluten free options, neither were they marked on the menu. This needs to be addressed please, otherwise a great meal and we would return.

We were in Stourbridge for a gig and forgot a coat so walking into town from the Premier inn to buy a new one we decided to get something to eat and called in to the Old Wharf Inn. I got the butchers faggots and Emma the Beef cheek and I don't think we could fault the food it was excellent and the surroundings and staff were all top quality. I would definitely recommend. A real gem

Our table was booked until 8pm The waitress asked us if we would like another drink then asked us to leave 5 minutes after serving us or drink feel pushed out even tho the food and staff were great feel like we were we were pushed out why ask if we want another drink only to be told we have to go

Visited for a works christmas meal ,the food was excellent and service and atmosphere was very good .Will definitely be visiting again as it's only down the road from where I live ,don't know why I havnt visited sooner.

Been to The Old Wharf many times both for breakfast and lunch. Never been disappointed food is excellent and staff really friendly and helpful. The Sunday lunch is superb.

From the welcome at the bar and the chat about real ale with the bar person. To the exit and thank you my wife and i had a great experience. The Ravioli starter was out of this world, as was the Pork main dish with a yorkshire pudding kindly added.

Such a beautiful setting, perfect for families and couples, it has a great warm atmosphere. I was lucky enough to come here for breakfast in October with friends. I could not stop talking about how incredible this place was so came again on Sunday for breakfast with my daughters. They instantly fell in love with this place too. The food, we had breakfast and it was delicious, so much choice and we all loved what we had. Halloumi breakfast milk bun, banana bread with peanut butter. All that could be seen was empty plates and we cannot wait to come back for lunch and dinner. The staff are so friendly. This place is perfect.

Everything about this experience was good - well received, very friendly staff, excellent 3 course meal with the best combination of flavours I have tasted in a long time, all beautifully cooked and presented. Will definitely put it high on my list of keepers and all wrapped in a busy warm environment. Well done

Our first visit here and the staff were fantastic. The food was excellent, well presented, and tasted wonderful! However, the atmosphere wasn't what I expected. I booked a date night for my husband expecting a romantic atmosphere, but we were sat by the bar. The volume from people talking was extremely loud, and we struggled to talk. It was no fault of the staff, and it was great to see it so busy, but next time, I would request a different area to sit in.

Booked a table with some friends for lunch, a birthday treat. Nice table by the fire, all four of us enjoyed the meals, each one having a different meal. Poached pear for pud 😋 our first time there, would definitely book up again. 👍

The staff at the bar and out in the pub serving food were excellent, a real pleasure to see, the food was good, we'd be happy to eat here again.

The squash and pumpkin gnocchi is 20/10. Delicious!

First time eating here and definitely impressed, four of us all had different meals. The sea trout was excellent, as was the cod and also prawns on sourdough. Steak and ale pie with very good gravy. Food was cooked beautifully and great service, thank you!

We had an evening meal, the food was something else, not a chip in sight. Restaurant style food in a pub with good ales and drinks. The staff were lovely and friendly, well worth a visit.

We wanted a Sunday lunch with a couple of friends who were staying and we were visiting the Glass Museum (highly recommended!) and Katie Fitzgeralds. The Old Wharf was recommended by a friend and so we decided to have lunch there although it wasn't the cheapest. But it was the best! Great atmosphere and service and the food was excellent. It's not our nearest (it's about 30 minutes from home) but well worth the journey so we'll definitely be back.

If you are looking for a pub with a lively atmosphere, this is the place to go. If you are looking for a quiet place for a meal, then this is not. The food was not bad, but it wasn't great either - I think the vampires will stay away for about 3 weeks after eating the very garlicky gnocchi.

Been meaning to write a review for ages, every time I go to the Old Wharf the service and food is spot on. Staff are helpful and welcoming and work hard, the atmosphere is always lovely whether it’s a lazy mid week lunch or busy Friday/Saturday night. Portions are always a good size whether you go for a small plate or main course …. Can’t wait for my next visit ☺️

Wow!! What a fantastic place to eat. The menus are interesting and varied and what comes out of the kitchen is stunning, delicious and so much more high end than the usual pizzas and burger options you get in most pub / restaurants. They must have some top notch chefs in there. The special of mussels in cream, garlic and lemon was one of the best dishes we'd ever eaten. The service was spot on too, especially considering it was busy. Have already booked again.

Very nice breakfast here and good value for money. Breakfast to suit all appetites. Can also sit overlooking the canal during nice weather. Friendly staff who are attentive to diners needs.

Was up from London for the in-laws birthday and wasn’t expecting much as normally the food up there is a bit hit and miss. We had the roast dinner and it was probably the best I’ve had in a restaurant. Meat was great, starters were big and trimmings were thought through, they had touches that made them not just sides but great extras. A nice relaxed atmosphere .

I travelled from the Lake District to the Midlands and visited the Wharf, the location just adds to the quality of food. I had mussels with cider and tarragon and it was perfection, topped off with a glass of Sauvignon which was also lovely. I'll definitely be making another journey, just to sample all the items off the menu!

Our Sunday lunch/birthday meal with our family was excellent. My photos do not do it justice. It is busy for a reason, great friendly staff, an excellent menu and a friendly atmosphere with the option of outside seating.

We’ve been to The Old Wharf a few times, most recently on Saturday evening. Each visit we’ve had brilliant service and delicious food. The atmosphere is great, though it can get busy (and warm!) on a Saturday evening. We were catching up with friends, and it was a bit loud to have a conversation BUT the lovely Sophie was able to move us to an outside table, even though it was very busy. Food was spot-on as usual - recommend the mackerel pate, mussels, lamb pie and the amazing Greek salad from the specials. Sophie was our main server and she was knowledgable, friendly, helpful and quick. We also got great additional service from Catherine. We’ll be back (in fact, we’ve already got another two bookings!)

Doesn't look much from the front but inside it's deceptively big and modern, with a huge outside beer garden round the back by the canal, great selection of bar snacks including sausage rolls, pork pies... all lovely and fresh Food is amazing, the Sunday roast is fantastic friendly staff, dog friendly too

Excellent menu with really good home cooked food - the cauliflower cheese and parsnip purée were my highlights! The meat was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were plentiful, the roast carrot, cauliflower cheese and parsnip puree extremely good, followed by treacle tart with clotted cream which was the best I’ve ever tasted

The atmosphere is lovely. The staff are brilliant, very professional. The food is excellent. The best Sunday dinner I have eaten out(pork). The HPA is the best in Stourbridge. Brilliant for families.

Fabulous as ever. New summer menu and the trout dish is lovely. We love this pub from a scotch egg snack to the best Sunday lunch for miles. Staff are great, brilliant atmosphere and great selection of drinks!

Arriving as a visitor via canal, looking forward to a meal in this highly recommended Inn only to be turned away as not taking food orders @ about 7.30 pm. Very disappointed particularly when others arrived after us, probably locals were served Told by staff to go to the high street to find another venue.

Popped in for a drink, but definitely going back for food. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and customers! 😁 Food looks amazing so booking a table next week! So, did have a meal last night. Quality of the food was superb, wine great and service really good. The atmosphere in the bar area was buzzing. Can't recommend enough.

We love the Old Wharf. Our experience was fantastic, as always. My wife and I (accompanied by our three week old daughter) were given a quiet table to allow us some peace and respite whilst we ate. The food was immaculate in both presentation and taste, and was served quickly with excellent service from all of the staff in the pub. I enjoyed the chicken schnitzel with capers, mash and purple headed broccoli, whilst my wife enjoyed the the spinach and ricotta ravioli. We finished with an affogato and salted honey tart, both of which perfectly complemented our lunch. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, even though the pub was busy! In a few months time, well looked forward to dining in the brilliant garden in the sunshine with a slightly older child! Thank you to all of the lovely staff, who really could not do any more for us to make our experience so enjoyable.

Great beer garden. We had a fab table at the end overlooking the canal. Lovely soft blankets provided on each table for those chilly moments.

Really good quality breakfast. Well priced and great service. Great to get all this in somewhere dog friendly so we could walk our breakfast off after!

The only downside was we asked for the restaurant side and got the bar. Luckily it was a hot day and most of the customers were outside, so it was quite. Food excellent and service excellent 👌

Lovely place but the lamb and cous cous dish I ordered was very bland. Wouldn’t return sadly.

Food was delicious and service was great. Dessert was particularly good. Only let down were the cocktails which were canned.
