Absolutely disgusting first visit there today and the food was burnt and greasy after complaining the staff just didn’t seem to care will NEVER return there then Wetherspoons is pretty much next door and better quality food

Amazing value for money, two full (and very hot/fresh) breakfasts with drinks came to half what we were expecting. Wonderful ingredients used, and the staff are super friendly. Very happy, and we will back regularly now. Favourite place near here for food👍🏻

A very long wait. The food took over 40 minutes to arrive. When it did arrive it was just about ok…..the order had clearly been forgotten. Toilets need some attention …..sloppy floor, hand dryer broken and not the cleanest .

Another lovely Sunday roast at JM’s today. Thanks again to all the young ladies working very hard on such a busy, warm day. Just one observation, maybe reservations should not be taken as often many tables sit empty while several customers look for seats. Cafe is so popular first come first served would make much more sense.

Firstly hands down Jimmy Macks is the best Full English around. The food is one area we cannot fault. However, there are now far too many regular 'annoyances' about the location and service that mean we are now looking elsewhere. Whilst i accept some of the below points may be personal to us (and some may think trivial which is a fair comment) they have got to the point where its now ruined our favourite breakfast spot - The place is busy as the foods good. However, the general cleanliness of the place is lacking too much for us and its starting to look 'tired'. - The above point comes from a lack of staff and staff training. - Dirty cutlery/plates regularly sit on tables and are not cleaned up. On our last visit the table next to us has dirty plates/cutlery on it for our entire stay.... staff were just walking past and ignoring it. This is every single visit now. - When staff are asked to clean /wipe the table you've sat at cos its dirty thats just forgotten/ignored. - Why oh why is there a persistence with putting ketchup/brown sauce in those silly little pots?. And when additional pots are asked for its regularly forgotten. As we started with, the breakfasts are great, always well cooked and tasty. However, by not training staff and/or having enough theres just too many issues to not try elsewhere...... which is a real shame.

Really good value and freshly cooked food. They offer various portion sizes of the roast dinners accommodating all appetites. We use this facility regularly and have not had any need to complain. They appear to have taken on some more younger staff recently, who are very polite and efficient.

Good food at great prices. Amazing all day breakfast - meat and vegetarian. Prices, portion size and quality have been the same for years.

Located in the old post office directly opposite Halesowen church. That cafe has a loyal client base and excellent service and menu offering 7 days a week from breakfast to brunch to a full roast dinner plate or just a coffee it's a go to place in Halesowen for sure.

Very bad quality food and terrible service. Our orders came out wrong, when we complained about it we were just told that this is what we’ve ordered, when clearly it was not! We ordered 2 orange juices that never arrived and when we went to ask for them, they told us with bad attitude that our juices have been served, whereas the juices that arrived belonged to our friends who ordered first through a different order! The food quality was bad too, veeeery disappointing experience. We ordered Salmon Eggs and we received a plate with cold bread, scrambled eggs and a tiny bit of salmon, nothing else on it!! Sorry Jimmy, never again!

I contracted Jimmy Macks to deliver a buffet selection for a party for my mother 100th birthday.. They couldn't have been more helpful, delivering a great selection of food that everyone enjoyed.. Especially liked the lemon drizzle cake.. The staff they provided to help at the party were outstanding and helped make it a success.. I would certainly use again and recommend them to anyone needing an event catering..

Just had 2 HORRID Beef dinners. Cold veg. Hardly ANY gravy. An SOOOOOOO BLAND. I COULDN'T EAT IT. YUCK. What a Waste of £17.00. Will NEVER eat here again!!! An I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND this place to ANYONE. Unless you have ZERO taste buds. An want to throw money down the drain!!

The nicest cafe in the area. The food is beautiful, the milkshakes are the best thing ever and the service here is 10/10. Come here weekly on my college break with my friend and this is the best place for food. It is a very calming environment and so kid friendly :))

Orderd two breakfasts, two teas,teas went to wrong table,waited half hour,then saw our breakfasts went to wrong table,were people touched the food ,they said it wasn't there's, so we were asked if it was ours,we didn't wait to see if she was going to give it us ,we got up and asked for refund, and we walked out, jimmy macks is no longer our place to go ,very poor last three times we have gone there.

Take my 85 year old mom here regularly. Home cooked food and decent sized portions. Lovely place to sit and talk , private but social at the same time . Wheelchair accessible dining and toilet So all good .

If you like school dinners from 1955 this is the place for you, otherwise avoid would be my advise. Never been anywhere this bad before. Lunch was inedible. As requested to verify review we ordered 2 beef lunch 2 turkey lunch (although 1 came brown meat nothing like turkey or beef?)1 chilli (had none left )so ordered 1 lasagne ( had none also) so ordered 1 fish. It was Mother’s Day too so completely embarrassing I treated my mother to this!

Bacon n sausage sandwich was ok. But I ordered a ham sandwich, I didn't expect it to come with one slice of the cheapest wafer thin ham, n who ever cut it in half had brown sauce on their knife!!!! Won't be returning.

The food was not as hoped for, but the staff are very welcoming and helpful, ready to resolve any issues. We'll be back 🙂

Lovely staff but after 47 mins of being sat there waiting for 1 dinner that they had run of Yorkshire puddings for anyway I walked out, how can it take so long for already cooked food to be served

Recommended by a lady in the TSB stopped here for an impromptu breakfast. Service with a smile and a gorgeous plentiful breakfast was had and value for money, if I ever revisit Halesowen I will definitely be back - the place is a gem 💎

Been here several times, food is always lovely, maybe could be a little hotter some times but we do like food piping hot so that is partially us. Service seems a little chaotic at time (mainly young staff) but all in all its a great place for food, very well priced and friendly.

Breakfast was good. Service was friendly and polite . I don't think you could go wrong if you were to pop in here. Quite a lot to choose from. 👌

Awful 😖. 45 minutes wait to be served burnt sausages and burnt toast. Had to peel the skin off as my daughter wouldn't eat them. The toast was dry and had little to no butter on it. Also disappointing that when asking for no tomatoes, beans or black pudding, nothing extra was offered instead. Just overall really poor and disappointing. Wish we'd have gone to Wetherspoons.

Popped in for lunch after a shopping trip. Ordered faggots mash and peas and tea. Very nice and obviously freshly cooked. A couple of minor gripes. One is I had to ask 3 times to get cutlery. Second is there was nowhere to dump the used teabag. Other than that no complaints. Decent food at reasonable prices.

Love coming here when we come to Halesowen Food always fresh we always have pork sandwich bowl chips and tea altho may try something different next time thank you 👍

We tried Jimmy Macs twice over the weekend when attending a family event nearby based on it's Google reviews. They weren't wrong, great food and value, we had a variety of different meals both times (family of four), no complaints only compliments. My full English which was double everything, with mushrooms, tomotoes and 4 slices of toast! was outstanding 👌🏼. On my second visit, I had the homemade steak pie, also outstanding. Highly recommended. No fuss, order using your table number and pay at the till, sit down and the awesome food comes to you. Great touch with the free tea, and coffee with the breakfast. Every local town should have a Jimmy Macs 👌🏼.

Lunchtime catch up with an ex colleague. Busy but rapid service. Chose from the 'Over 50s' menu - Cottage Pie with chips - tasty, excellent quality and quantity and comes with a choice of tea, coffee or juice. Excellent value. Clean with pleasant staff and car parking and bus stops nearby. Well recommended and will be back next time in Halesowen.

Just awful, foods awful, I can't even put it into words, young staff serving people, no interaction, not even a smile, food slapped on table, coffee is ok, prices well a little high, and the cheese on toast I had was a joke, I'll go somewhere else, saying that the place is nice, and it's clean, super busy, but perhaps I had a bad meal, but I won't be coming back.

I live in Halesowen and shop regularly in the town but rarely eat there so had never visited Jimmy Macks until today. There were 12 of us there from an art class and we enjoyed afternoon tea. There were sandwiches with a selection of fillings my favourites were the tuna and chicken and mayo. The scones were lovely the cream was thick so all good there. The small cake selection was excellent plenty to go round and to take a few away for our folks at home. Very good value and the service was pleasant nothing too much trouble. Visited with my brother,we both chose the roast dinner,he had beef and I had chicken. My chicken was succulent, served with roast potatoes and mash, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, peas, and carrots. I'm not a fan of peas and although I asked for them to be left off , they weren't. Also no broccoli 😕 The gravy is very tasty but a bit dark for a chicken dinner! Good to see they were doing reasonable business today.

Went to this place for Sunday dinner 🍽 which was excellent followed by desert which also was excellent love this Cafe great staff, catering for all ages but especially the over fifty's. Made our day can well recommend 👌 😀 😊

My partner had sausage and egg sandwich. Bread was broken up AGAIN. It was the same the last time we went there. I had a bacon and brie panni. Bacon was hard, not much brie. Service was slower than slow. We won't be going back.

Have been here before just for a cuppa, but had lunch today, well, a medium breakfast actually. It was lovely! great value. And the music playing in the background was perfect!

Just been in for my annual breakfast. I always come when I drop my car off for its annual service. I had the vegetarian breakfast at £5.50 it is very reasonable. Egg, vege sausage, beans, mushrooms, has brown and toast with tea. There is also normally tomatoes but I don’t like them. Very well cooked, especially the mushrooms which in some places are anemic. And a huge mug of tea. What impressed me the most is the friendly staff, not in your face American style, just happy friendly British style. There was a family with 3 small children close by and she was so attentive and nice to them. A very welcoming place. Really recommend.

Photo got removed off there Facebook page by them selfs deleting post.... This complaint was regarding a simple cheese on toast. I visited on Thursday with mother in law and we asked for cheese on toast. When it came out it looked like this. Only 1 piece of toast had cheese on... it looked like they did the toast buttered it then added cheese to top slice and but it in the microwave. When we asked a young male worker in there how they made it he just said 'I'm not sure' and walked off ....

Two hairs if food staff not wearing appropriate head wear fir serving or cooking food sohairs drop into food ugh ! And a deaf woman was served a burger with bacon blacken one side staff refused yo give her a correct as a gesture of good will for poor service and black bacon so l bought her a coffee so not a good experience on my first visit .

Great place with lots of choice. Went on bank holiday Sunday. 4 of us are in. Two had all day breakfasts I had a regular Sunday roast and 1 had a seabass. All good then desserts of trifle and carrot cake. All was fresh and home cooked. It is clean and has nice decor. This place used to be the Post Office in Halesowen so quite large inside deff worth a visit but does close around 3 to 4pm I think so need to check times to visit.

Food lovely, cooked fresh, so it does take a while but is worth the wait. Have only been there for breakfast, but if it is to go by, i reckon all the main meals will be fab.

Very popular, which is a good sign. Mostly. Although you can get babies/toddlers screaming. Happy with my breakfast. Unhappy that customising your breakfast is so expensive if you don't want the set versions. It's cooked to order, so this seems unnecessary. Food was fine though. Only 45 mins parking outside, so probably need to walk from the multistorey.

Very nice place very friendly staff worth a visit.

Clean, didn’t stink of grease and was quite relaxing. Things that should be improved.. portion size of chips very very small sugar is kept in a open container on each table with no spoon in.. now if your like me and want a deluxe hot chocolate and use your spoon to eat the cream off the top first.. some people might then use that same spoon to get more sugar :/ BLT sandwich was very dry, one small thick tomato on each side of the sandwich, hardly any lettuce (thrown together some might think) Although partner had a cheese and onion tostie that she enjoyed (y) So our order was; Cappuccino 4.5/5 Deluxe hot choc 4/5 Can of Pepsi max N/A Cheese and onion sandwich 3.5/5 BLT 1.5/5 Chips taste 4/5 Chips portion size 1/5 Overall it came to around £18 I will return for one of the Sunday dinners that I think are on every day! Perfect for a older person :) Please change the sugar that’s on the tables for hygiene reasons.

Thank you so much to Jimmy Macks Halesowen! They organised takeaway afternoon tea for us so we could surprise our little girl. This wasn’t even all the cakes! Really, really tasty - the sandwiches were all delicious and the mince pies are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. We go to Jimmy Macks a fair amount anyway and can highly recommend, but I just wanted to leave a review to say a massive thank you for supplying us with this epic feast of an afternoon tea!
