Best real ale pub in Halesowen fantastic staff highly recommend. Also superb sunday lunch with great service anyone who complains about this pub must be out of there tiny minds

Do not go to this pub if you want to be sure you do not take COVID 19 to your home. Customers were walking to and fro with the majority of them not wearing masks. Only one of three staff wore a mask both sides of the counter ! And they do NOT offer contactless payment !! Cash only !! Do the authorities know about this place ?? You have been warned !!

We called into the King Edward for Sunday lunch as its got good reviews and it was close to the friends we were visiting in the area. The staff were lovely and helpful and the bar is very nice with good quality food too. We all went for the roast beef and veg with a dessert to finish off. The prices are very reasonable and good value. The bar has a cash only option on the day we visited so I'm not sure if it's a normal thing or just that they don't have a card option for the place. The bar has a very interesting decor with lots of signs and ordaments around the walls and it's quite quirky to see. Worth a visit if you're in the area and want a decent lunch at a reasonable cost.

If you enjoy traveling regardless of the destination then consider a visit to this pub of yesteryear. On our recent outing we discovered another Black Country gem of a real ale pub. A traditional pub with retro decor and a clientele to match. Some very good real ales and no problem to try before you buy. Ray, the manager is a wonderful host who appears to enjoy his role and seems to have found his vocation in life.

Golly the pubs in Halesowen have sooo improved Clean and tidy and with great landlords. No swearing rules ...and folk are coming back This is a great pub to spend a great evening

my local public house, a friendly establishment courtesy of the two excellent licensees Barbara and Ray. They take a pride in the premises, have a fine range of ales which are well kept. Highly recommended

This pub is lovely lots of choice from beer, ales, cider and lots more it's warm and welcoming the staff are friendly and the people there are really friendly and nice relaxed night out 😊

Good old proper pub with proper beer, ales even a few ciders to throw in the mixer. Friendly staff always clean and tidy Well done guys!

Just how I like my pubs! Nicely furnished, spotlessly clean and a good selection of beers other drinks and food. Highly recommended.

A warm welcome by whoever is on the bar. Always a good sign This place has A good selection of beers to choose from they've got good baps on offer . Good value. And free off road parking.

Nice little friendly local pub, staff and customers are always up for a giggle and make you feel welcome, great selection of ales and cobs and sunday lunchs are the typical home made pub grub worth booking for.

Have visited here on a couple of occassions with good friends that live local,,, very good selection of beers,,ciders,,,wines etc,,, Have passed many times this place when driving but was offered the chance to visit first time on a friends Saturday birthday drinks party and have to say a very good time was had ,,, then friends get together before a visit to a local curry house

Excellent Sunday roast piping hot served within 10 mins Excellent value for money . The only downside is the choice of only 2 meats

Been going in here for months on a Sunday and was dying to try a Sunday lunch !!! And today I got my wish I can say it was well worth the wait ... got to admit one of the best Sunday roasts I had for ages and Shirley who waits on the tables is a lovely lady well pleasant Compliments to all who work in there it's a bostin little pub

Very much a drinks led establishment though their food offerings are decent value. Mine hosts Barbara and Ray keep a tight ship, with a selection of well-kept real ale, Butty Bach is the top seller and quite right too. Regular barman Stu has a strange footballing taste but a more affable guy is hard to find. Catering are large cobs most of the week though homemade Sunday lunch is available. This is quite popular so best to book. Clientele are mainly mature men, particularly during the afternoons. The "No Swearing" policy has a little flexibility but its enforcement is for the general good. This is a seriously fine local.

I have regularly visited this pub. I have found the staff all very pleasant they also serve with a smile. Last night I went in for a couple of drinks before attending a football match and despite the fact they were busy everyone was getting served quickly. Beer was very good and the range of beers is always good! Something to suit all tastes.

People are very Clichy. If you sit in the wrong seat you certainly know about it. There is a sign saying you will be banned if you swear. No swearing in a pub that shows football? I suppose with their clientele they wouldnt get swearing from them its like gods waiting room

Very friendly welcoming pub with a decent selection of ales all well kept. Nice to pop in for one before (or after) watching the Yeltz.

Lovely pleasant clean and friendly staff. Booked an hour before arriving a table for 3 seated in easy reach for the bar as with my elderly grandmother. Lunch came within ten minutes, piping hot and looking lovely with a choice of pork or beef. Always greeted with a smile and pleasant manor.

Was unsure of this place at first but can honestly say the roast dinner was amazing and very good value for money..the staff were so lovely and welcoming and they sell the best ales.would return again

This is a lovely pub. Looks good inside & out, serves beautifully kept real ale and standard pub food. The bar always has Enville Ale and Golden Glow as standards as well as 4 or 5 other ales. A great basket of assorted cobs is always available on the bar and they are very popular with the lunchtime customers. The cooked meals are simple but nicely cooked and presented and very satisfying. Sunday lunch (which I have never tried) is very well spoken of by friends. One of my favourite pubs.
