We eat here every week food is spot on staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble, prices are very reasonable. Booking for s weekend is advisable as everyone wants to come back.

Tasty curry, but only a few mouthfuls in the smallest of side dishes. Staff were unattentative and frankly rude especially when challenged about this. Vegetarians be warned - you will need to order two ‘main’ courses they are so small. Only time I have ever left a curry house still hungry!

Thought we try this place but never got the chance, waited over 30 minutes and never even got served wasn’t even half full, the staff are are a waste of time not attentive at all like we wasn’t even there, they must not need the money and they certainly won’t be getting any of mine in the future as won’t be coming back or recommending to any one, need to learn a few customer service skills and how to run a restaurant when there’s a few people in

Just ordered £50 worth of food. Waited an hour and half for delivery. We ordered 3 starters that state it comes with salad. No salad. Ordered two curries and got one smashed up poppadom with it. When spending £50 you expect a little more then this. I would rather spend it else where now.

Little gem of a curry house! This is an unlicensed establishment with great service! Bring your own alcohol. Service is great and the food is incredibly tasty! Highly recommend booking on a weekend as it gets very busy.

We went there 2 weeks ago and had Master Imran with a bit of naga chilli, a tandoori chicken pathia and some other dishes. We rated the food 10/10! Just had a delivery of those 2 dishes and they were just as delicious. I cannot fault this restaurant, simply brilliant 👌 😋 😀

This is a very good restaurant, for a family night-out with the kids. The staff were excellent with the kids and were very polite when we ordered. Also, the food was bursting with flavour and was perfect for the price. It was also brought very quickly from the waiters. I would definitely go again with the kids and would recommend to friends and family.

Plenty of curry houses in the midlands but this is one of my faves. A little pricey but its got nice decor and good food

We visited undaal as a family of 4 for the first time since lockdown rules had been lifted, food and service was excellent. Portion sizes were of great value. The tandoori mix grill platter is a must every time we go! Fish pakoras are also amazing.Overall a good experience. Highly recommend x

We are dedicated customers and have been using Undaal for years. I ordered at 6.30pm for 9pm which gave plenty of notice. By 9.20ish my food had not arrived. I called and was told it would be with us any minute. 15 mins later still no delivery. I called again to be told that we would 'just have to wait' in a very rude tone. It's a shame that I was spoken to so rudely as we will not be using Undaal again. Customer service after all these years was dreadful. When the food arrived an item was missing but didn't bother to call as the person had been rude. You lost a valued customer tonight.

This place was recommended to me so I thought I would try it out. Restaurant was very clean with a good atmosphere and nice staff. Food however had little flavour and one of the meals I ordered did not come out. Instead they replaced it with something different. It was okay but I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return based on the food.

A great little unlicensed restaurant that has been doing and excellent job for many years. I would be very surprised if you could find any fault with the sorroundings, food or service. On our last visit it seemed to have raised the bar even higher. Well worth checking out.

Visited here with family. Not really busy except for takeaways. After 45 minutes of waiting I had to get up and ask a waiter if he could take our order. When we were given our bill I said how long we had to wait to order but all that was said to us was people who prefer takeaways are willing to wait 2 hours. Not our problem. Takeaways obviously their priority not seated guests !!!

We visited on Tuesday as part of the Eat out scheme. It was very Covid safe. Food was amazing as usual, each meal tastes very different. The service was great and they even rang me to say there was an earlier table as someone had cancelled. Would definitely recommend!

Overcrowded and no social distancing After months of being unable to visit the restaurant due to rating issues, we had a spur of a moment decision to visit undaal today. On arrival we signed in and we were asked to check our temperature which was safe. The entire tables were full of customers crammed with very little walking space which was worrying, we felt uncomfortable, congested and uneasy. Overall the food and service was satisfactory. Unfortunately the government guidelines need to be followed by management to ensure the staff and customers are all safe and protected from harm.

First time back after lockdown and it was great food was up to usual standard service great and social distance kept up this is great place for family meal or just wanted a Takaway never a poor meal

This time I went with my brother and father, and my dad is VERY PICKY as likes his food served piping hot on hot plates, plus it has to be tasty, so Fortunately he was able to enjoy the meal as all his criteria for a decent restaurant were met. The staff are always so warm and welcoming and the portions particular large for the main courses. Thoroughly recommend.

i ordered a delivery ,when it arrived some of the sauces id ordered and paid for were missing, i politly phoned the restraunt within 2 mins of it arrivng and was told by a very rude man i would have to go and collect it ,the food was poor at best ,hardly any chicken in the curry chicken tikka tough ,BEWARE ,BEWARE ,BEWARE

I’ve been using the Undaal since it opened - it’s no Lasan or Praza but for the price range it is very good food. But here’s the problem- my last 3 takeaways haven’t just been late, they have been very late. Tonight’s was the last straw - when I called to order I was told it would be 1hr 20mins as they were busy. Not great but fair enough. But then after a further call after 1hr 35 mins and the food (which was excellent) turning up,after 1 hr 55 mins, I have finally decided not to eat either in the restaurant or have a takeaway again.I’m sure they won’t be bothered - after all they have plenty of other customers, but guys you cannot run such a poor takeaway service as this ! If you are too busy then tell your customers who can then go elsewhere ! And on delivery, no apologies, couldn’t care less.Poor service .....

I walk into undaal to find that the WHOLE restaurant has been renovated. so I ordered the chicken sizzler with a cheese naan and it was absolutely fabulously delicious loved every bit of it, it was fantastic and the decor is excellent. Been past a few time's and thought we'd give it a go, it's under refurbishment and should be amazing when finished, there was a power problem while we were there, which affected some of the lights, and we were given a candle, a nice touch, we were disappointed when the lights came back on. The food was good, with good portion sizes, but a little too spicy for us, next time we'll have to ask them to calm it down a little. We didn't have a problem with parking, took our own drinks in, and payed by credit card.

Had a fabulous tasty meal here, the chicken Tikka Bhuna was absolutely mouth-watering, it is the best I have tasted so far. The service and waiters are second to none and its a place I will definitely be coming back too.

We’ve always loved coming here and food has always been great however we can’t say the same for our recent few visits due to the poor service. Tonight we visited and after waiting 1 hour 45 minutes for our mains, when arrived no apology and no check back was done. The waiter was blunt and miserable. Found a hair in our food but there was no one even around to talk to. We won’t be returning.

Me and my family went for a meal here (last minute mind), however I must admit the food was delicious! The staff are very friendly, bargain prices and the customer service was second to none. I will definitely be coming here again. 100% recommend this place!

I dined in on Saturday with a group of 4 after receiving a menu. The restaurant was fairly busy, although it seemed a little shortage of staff the two waiters were attentive and the food was average.

Visited this restaurant for a birthday celebration on a Saturday evening as it had been recommended by friends. We had booked a table and on arrival it was ready . We were impressed with the decore and the place was busy with a great atmosphere. After been shown to our table we settled in and waited to be attended to, wich took quite a while. When we finally got to order our food( it isn't licensed so bring your own wine, beer if you like a drink) the waiter was polite and friendly.

This is our local 'balti' and we are so glad! The food is good - probably the best fish curry around, and the staff are so welcoming. Even give me a little box to rest my feet on!

As we were visiting Dudley we based our meal out entirely on online searching and reviews. We came across Undaal which seemed perfect due to its awards and outstanding menu. However upon reading reviews we ALMOST didn't go. Yes there are some renovation works going on, yes the place has a low food hygiene rating because of this... But I can assure you this doesn't impact on the quality and value of the food served!

Visited here after a very long time. Quite shocked to see recent reviews! In my opinion this restaurant is one of the best around. If you love indian food you'd love Undaal. The food is always fresh, full of flavour and so aromatic. Service is always at a high standard. The waiters are so professional. Definitely worth visiting if your in the area.

The restaurant is well presented, the restaurant layout is very clean. The staff is professional, very friendly and welcoming. Service is brilliant and the food was cooked fresh. The starter was amazing, highly recommend the mixed grill. The portion was decent, a good mix of meats served with onions. All the main courses were good and the naan piping hot and fresh. A very nice evening to remember. This restaurant is dedicated to achieving excellence. Well done.

My husband and I have been dining at Undaal for a very long time and our experience at Undaal has always been positive.

We have just tried to order a delivery but whoever answered the phone was so rude over the phone. You dont expect to hear 'what do want' shouted at you. So we wont be calling them or popping in again! How rude.

I have been eating curry for 30 years and this was possibly the best curry I have ever had. Great poppadums, great starter and superb maim meal, and very well priced. Fantastic!

Been back after a long time only to find the chicken tasted very odd and nothing like chicken at all. The other chicken dish we had was dry as anything. On top of this lamb tough. Nothing like when we last came, very disappointed.

After several months of searching, I think we have finally found a local Indian restaurant that compares to the much-missed Bengal Fusion in Lye, which closed earlier this year. Undaal's food was fantastic: Well spiced, well presented, with good decor and tableware. What particularly delighted me was that the food was not overly sweet, which seems to be a bit of a fashion in Indian restaurants these days. The fact that it was reasonably busy on a Monday evening shows this place has a strong following, and with good reason.

Been going here for over 5 years now and always great food and excellent service. Currently sticking to the more healthy options cooked in one of the 2 tandoori ovens in the kitchen (Chicken Tikka, more spicy Naga Tikka, Chicken Shashlick and Tandoori Mixed Grill) the curry's are all excellent as well though, never had a bad one yet. Kitchens have just been refurbished even had a tour last week and everything was spotless. Restaurant part is also being updated at the moment. Bring you own drinks as its not licensed but shop opposite and one to the left and right both sell alcoholic and soft drinks so don't worry if you forget. Plenty of parking in the high street and behind the building in side street. Thanks to Mo and Bob for all the great meals and great service as always.

I love this place and previously gave it a 5* but due to the number 1 food hygiene rating we no longer go. As soon as it returns to at least a 4 we won’t be back and we miss it loads.

Visited this place with a team of work colleagues while in Dudley, and I am so glad we did. We were greeted with a friendly smile and was well looked after throughout our stay. I had the Tikka Paneer starter and was one of the best Tikka Paneer I have eaten in a while. Also The Naga Tikka was a very good starter dish. Beware if you have the bullet chilli pakora's, these are fiery little numbers. Mains were also tasty I would recommend Balti Chicken Tikka chilli Massala very nice main. Naan breads were also decent and they also made me a Garlic, Chilli Cheese naan. Everyone had a good meal and I will not hesitate to pay this place another visit if I am in the area again.

Very good quality eating experience, service not rushed and menu extensive. Staff are friendly, helpful and informative. The food is very tasty, affordable and the atmosphere really good. The only thing was the very irritating mood lighting, changing colour every few seconds!
