Menu looks good, reviews look good.I visited around 11.30 am on Wednesday 15th January after reading the menu outside. The entrance to the Restaurant is through the Fish n Chip shop.It wasn't busy, perhaps half a dozen people sitting.It wasn't clear wether I should order in the Chip shop or take a seat.There appeared to be three staff on duty but none of them acknowledged my presence,so I stood awhile feeling awkward before approaching the counter, where I was ignored by all three staff who were having a conversation with their back to me,so once again I went to the chip shop where everyone was busy cooking.Once again I waited in the restaurant but no-one engaged,so I left and headed for Wetherspoons

Beautiful old building. Staff very welcoming and friendly. We ordered bread and oils for the table ,I think it had been fried it was quite strange . Main course, pasta with prawns, garlic and parsley was delicious was but slightly oily. They had a good wine and beer selection.

Arived at 13.15 today only to be told no Sunday roast left, hard to understand this at sush a early time . So went to Miitre Oak , very disappointed with De beers , need to try harder with current financial situation you lost a customer today .

New owners food shocking prices gone up again should have had beans on toast would have tasted better

The was pretty nasty … I’m not a big takeaway guy but to me there was way too much MSG. It made me feel sick. It was all like jelly. Food took 1h 1/4 … we were told 45 mins which wasn’t the best but I think he was struggling. At least there was comedy with a woman having a breakdown because her food was also late 😆 Ermm I’ll stick to healthy food or a mc Donald’s. Cheers

We called in for lunch. Absolutely amazing. The food was really lovely and customer service was great too! Beautiful situation right by the river and the food is the best I’ve had at lunchtime along the river. We will definitely go back again and thoroughly recommend

Why haven’t I been here before !! Excellent service - I order an incorrect meal and it was rectified instantly x lovely customer service - none of that well you ordered it ! Honestly Sydney was attentive and sorted it immediately. Great atmosphere and felt welcomed great place - food was excellent ! You will not be disappointed x try it x

Very poor take away. Waited in the restaurant for a take away on Saturday 19th April and the restaurant was very busy, not that that should make any difference to the quality of the food..but it did. I had eaten at the Vhujon several times previously and always left a glowing review but on this occasion it wasn’t possible. After the initial long wait I was suprised by the size of the Naan..very small by restaurant standards however it was no where near freshly cooked as it was stone cold and was hard in places as if it had been put in the microwave to refresh it..unedible so straight in the bin that went. We ordered 2 mains and a side of Saag Aloo which was okay. My main was King Prawn Sagwala which was probably 6/10..nothing really special and lacking in flavour but I ate it none the less. My husband had Prawn Jalfrezi which was completely diabolical. The prawns were tasteless and seemed like they had just covered them in spices..the sauce was nonexistent just a watery red tasteless fluid which he struggled to eat and said it tasted like no Jalfrezi he had had before ☹️ .He ate half but couldn’t stomach the rest so again in the bin. What a waste of money that was and if this is the rubbish the Vhujon is now serving up we certainly won’t be bothering again. There is a new Indian being refurbished..it certainly won’t have much competition from here.

Visiting a place close to the hotel. I think it was very peaceful and quite considering how much traffic and people were out side of the building. Only thing is the tv is very very small and for £120 for one night is very poor . I can see better on my phone if it was to be next to it. When arrive the main door constantly opened when people passing, so never locked from second door until it got past 8.oclock. So there were lots of youths in the halls sat charging their phones and lying on the floor. It’s a good job my kids weren’t here as it’s very intimating to a young child or elderly person when there making lots of noise. Jade and Shaun I think it was, the pair in reception and kitchen did amazing! Considering when pressure was on them they stayed so calm running round to every ones needs. Jade is on a walking stick and was still going round collecting plates ect. I take my hat of to her as I know how it feels to try be independent and make things “normal” shall I say! Shaun I think it was did grate helping us out. I really don’t think 2 people should be on maybe 4 just to take the weight of there shoulders. Amazing costumer service!

Nice coffee shop, tried it as trying to buy from more UK places rather than American owned coffee shops like Costa. I preferred the coffee here, it was nicer.
