Very nice, used to be bad a few years ago but now it's really nice. The gravy was nice. And staff are friendly and welcoming

You know what to expect with these places but have to say that the staff were especially friendly and gave a great service. Kids food was as expected and came quickly. We had the carvery which was good. Great for the price plus a play area.

Extremely good value for money. We enjoyed 4 carvery meals and a kids combo. Food was warm, with a good selection of veg which was all topped up. Service from start to finish from all of he staff was first class with a good mixture of younger servers and experienced staff. Drinks are not great and quite expensive but that is Greene Kings as a whole for you. Great for family dining but not for adult drinking which is perfect for us as a family of 5

All the staff provide a lovely service. The carvery is 10/10. Couldn’t recommend a better place to eat. Cameron and Joel are both very friendly.

Really tasty carvery, Good choice of meat and vegetables. Roast potatoes and mash, parsnips, stuffing, pigs in blankets, normal and onion gravy, and of course Yorkshire pudding. Plenty of parking.

Have used this restaurant a lot, but today I ordered a takeaway carvery. Absolutely fantastic. Arrived on time, more than plenty of delicious food. Had a slice of their super carrot cake too. Highly recommended.

Awful trying to contact the pub, phone hust rings and rings. £22.16 worth of cakes missing . No reply from any one, wouldnt use again

The car park and whole restaurant being empty at a peak time should have given a idea how bad it would be. We asked the server for a quiet spot, she first tried to put us in a booth that had a dirty table with dirty napkins on it, she tried to put us between 2 big families then gave a attitude when we asked for somewhere else. She told us to 'just go sit wherever' so we found a quiet area ordered food from the bar. I ordered the cheeseburger (on the menu there is no just plain beef burger) I asked for NO CHEESE, no salad and no sauce just completely plain, the barman even repeated back the order so I know I ordered it right. 20 minutes later food comes out and they give me a cheese burger so I quickly point out 'this is supposed to be plain with nothing on it' he takes it away comes back 2 minutes later asking if I still wanted the cheese and so I said I ordered it plain with nothing on it, I have to wait another 20 minutes for my food meanwhile the others I were with have their VERY meager amount of food. The food was mediocre at best, I could understand issues with my order if the place had been packed but this place was deserted with loads of staff just trying to look 'busy' some of the staff should have been cleaning the disgusting bathrooms if they had nothing to do. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone unless you want to be disappointed in the service and want to leave hungry from getting small portions

Had a fabulous afternoon birthday dinner with the family. All ages were there and not one had anything left on the plate. We sat at the Children's End as young ones were with us, so don't expect the quiet like you would at the main end. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Worth a visit, try it for yourself

Wonderful evening enjoyed everything about the experience of dining here. Luke was very attentive in serving us our food and making sure we were looked after. And on leaving everyone at bar thanked us for coming to Larchwood. It's our regular go to pub. Thankyoy to all the staff. We will be back to visit

food delivered was cold missing the dessert and pigs in blankets and Yorkshire puddings not much gravy it looked like just thrown together like a dogs dinner won't have delivery again......

Loved this place , but service has got very slow waited 35 mins for food , lovelly new girl on bar very friendly and helpful celebrated a birthday of a close friend, who travelled down from quarry bank with his family , service was good manager on door was helpful welcoming very considerate of all needs . Again another great time was had by 10 people , who travelled from black country as they like the venue a lot Just had lunch , table cleaners slow but good food, new restaurant manager very professional. Staff all smiling and friendly , helpful .

Had a carvery on Sunday, visited this place a few time now, always enjoyed the food, but I have only one criticism is that there isnt a very big selection of vegetables and also it would be nice to have roast pork once in a while but other than that it's a nice place to eat,and the staff are lovely.

Food just how I like it! Cheesy cauliflower cheese, tender meats and veggies

A simple chain pub serving generous portion sizes at a reasonable price. I opted to try the carvery and had no complaints with the food.

The food was very poor fish tasted like water there was so much what ever liquid on the child's salad it soaked in to the buns and 6 cm bit of burger if you can call it that very very tasteless, never had a problem with food in store but for home delivery what a waste of £50

The gravy was spilt everywhere. Had to make more gravy before we could eat it.

Have used this restaurant many times and always had an excellent carvery but today was dreadful. Changed packaging so meal arrived cold. No gravy sent. Just one boiled potato and few overcooked roast ones. Veg were broccoli, carrots and cauliflower, all stone cold. Only good thing was tender turkey which I will use for sandwich as rest is unappetising.

Excellent pub food and drink. Carvery is spot on. The main menu meal choice is plentiful. One of us had hunters chicken and it was the first time there was plenty of BBQ sauce as it came in a gravy boat as well as on the chicken so no need to ask for more sauce. The carvery gave plenty of meat on the plate with a choice of veggies to add yourself. Honestly, it is delicious food here at a good price. The atmosphere is relaxed, even with our 3 young boys playing in the play area facilities. We had full sight of them at all times whilst still being able to chill out. There was hardly a wait for the main meal food to come and then the others went up for their carvery so we all ate together. Dean, the waiter, provided excellent service and I could see how hard he worked. There is also lots of choice for dessert with a cake and ice cream counter by the bar. Delicious. Thanks guys

We had halloumi fries & garlic breaded mushrooms for starters, which came out very quickly and were luscious! Then a dirty hunters burger & chicken combo for mains. Highly satisfied 😊

Went here a few weeks ago and got food poisoning, food tasted and looked ok but was very ill resulting in hospital visit a day after eating here. EDIT: I have emailed you. And no reply, definitely care about customers

The food is not fresh and came cold. The broccoli and roast potatoes were dry. The turkey is nice but that is the only positive.

Nice big bright pub with plenty of space. Food was very well presented, nice and hot and very tasty. The dessert options where amazing.

Roast half the size as normal missing all the extras we paid for tried calling but no answer really disappointed for 50 pounds ended up with 1 roast

Delivery was excellent and on time. My carvery today was the worst one I've ever had. The Beef was very tough, like chewing leather. And the Turkey wasn't sliced, it was all in bits. Not the quality I usually receive.

Had a meal off the menu, not the carvary, was really quick, lovely meal.. can recommend the carvary aswell. Good value for money.

Missing items again. We're missing a sticky toffee pudding, custard and coleslaw that's supposed to come with the burgers. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time we've been missing items, and we never receive any phone calls to say that items are unavailable either. The delivery of the order was quick.

We had a table for 3 at 4.45 but arrived at 4.30 - they managed to seat us straight away which was great. We used the app to order our carvery and drinks at 4.37. The drinks came pretty quickly which was also great. On our table there was a sign to say that someone would come and tell us when it was our time to go up to the carvery so we sat waiting, all the while a massive queue was building up for the carvery...there was lots of annoyed customers sat around us too. We kept looking at the staff walking round to see if they'd call us up but all the staff seemed to be avoiding giving us eye contact. After 45 minutes of waiting (at which point the queue had doubled) we spoke to one of the staff who said to just go up as no one is taking notice of the waiting system and mentioned that every Sunday is the same - he advised us it was best to go in the week day. We then joined the queue to be stood waiting for another 30 minutes and only managed to get 1/4 of the way down the queue before we had enough of waiting and went and asked for a refund. Would not recommend going on a Sunday unless you want to be waiting forever!

This establishment has really upped its game.carvery was piping hot,fresh and tasteful. No complaints at all. Special mention to Luke who was so helpful in getting us seated,explaing the ordering process and generally ensuring we had all we needed.

I have often enjoyed the carvery in this restaurant both delivered and sitting in but tonight I was very disappointed . Food was very little , cold and I wasn’t impressed at all.
