Hi only live a few doors down & always a queue, very busy & super friendly staff always happy & bubbly, food great & portions great place to grab a chippy tea they cater in every way.....A definite must if your around

It took an over an hour and a half to get my food order. Will not use again

Ordered the most basic thing you can ask for. Chips. You'd expect to get potato in the chips. Are they always this bad? £3 for cardboard. They had pre cooked food just rotting away under the heated lamps too. Wasn't even busy. How about just offering good quality food and cooking everything fresh to order. Couldn't eat these chips. Greasy. Weird taste. Awful. -- In response to the owner. Bad food and poor products being sold are a problem to a business. Not the reviews. Your mindset is totally incorrect and ignorant of any problems. You can't blame customers for leaving bad reviews. When someone leaves a bad review because the chips had barely anything inside of them and tasted weird and greasy. They probably aren't going to waste more time calling or being a return customer. The fact you haven't acknowledged a problem backs this point up. You also haven't seen the amazing reviews I have given to some of the best establishments that exist. Your food also made me ill and I threw up the day after. Is that still my fault? Should I leave a 5 star review for food that made me poorly?

Good quality fish, quick and easy

Here on holiday so thought we'd sample the local chippy. Delicious fish and chips and the dog gave the sausage 5 stars to.

I used to be a good customer at pats, just went in for some fish and chips and a kebab for my daughter, waited my turn in the busy que and shop was very warm inside, finally got to my turn to order, as the girl looked at me for my order the shop phone rang for an order, the female member of staff ignored me and took the phone order, HOW RUDE, I won't visit pats again sorry.

I finished working around 7ish and asked someone to recommend my a good chippy he said Pats so I tried Saturday gone the fish and chips were excellent and would recommend going there the lady at the counter was friendly and very accommodating

I love plaice and haven't had any from fish and chips shops in Stourport for around 7 years, mainly because of the reason I'm now living in my own. It just took my fancy and wanted to relive my Saturday nights after a loss in the family. Because of not many outlets serving plaice for some reason anymore I was recommended to Pats fish bar which is the best piece of advice I've received for years .I cant thank Pats enough except for saying. delicious, outstanding and succulent meal, delivered to the pub where I was enjoying a pre meal pint. What better service can you expect? Thanks to owner ,staff and delivery driver. Absolutely gorgeous.

Used to be a really good chippy with people queuing out of the door , I went there on a Friday at peak time and was surprised to find it was empty I believe it has recently had new owner , So anyway I ordered a large chips at £4.90 but for that price the portion was pathetic , and also they were poor quality will not go there again.

Clean environment, deserve 5* rating

Been a while since had fish and chips. Therefore surprised by what they cost nowadays. Large piece of fish and plenty of chips. Cooked well with nice batter and chips were not greasy. Staff all friendly.

We’ve had fish and chips the last two Fridays and can’t fault it. Very very good.

I do not recommend. I ordered a portion of fries and two large code fish. No salt or vinaigrette added. While packing, the employee accidentally added salt to the fish. I was not replaced with new salt, but the lady decided to rinse the salt off it in hot oil. She packed it for me, dripping with oil. You can only imagine what this fish looked like. Additionally, she did not use protective gloves. I didn't have the strength to go back there and show what I had packed for over 18 pounds. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE :(

I was in Southport visiting a friend and I decided to get a small portion of chips for £2.40 ,the assistant asked if I want salt and vinegar ,I said yes please and could I have some ketchup on the chips ,i got my £2.40 on the counter and was told its actually £3.90 because i have had a squirt of Ketchup ,i wont be using this chip shop again ,we will be charged for salt and vinegar soon .

Went in last week to order food for my family gathering, all 10 of us! We all ordered large cod box meals. WOW!! what can i say? Absolutely amazing food, the quality was insane and it was so fresh. Brilliant service, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were lovely and friendly! Amy and Lee in particular couldn’t have been more accommodating! I will 100% be retuning. Thanks again team, see you all again soon for our Friday night fish supper.😍🐟🍟

Ordered food online. Called me back to say they couldn’t complete the order so cancelled the order expecting an immediate refund. A week later had to go into the shop to get the refund. Obviously hoping I had forgot!! Shall not use again.

We moved to stourport a few weeks ago and saw Pats Fish Bar. We both had fish and chips and we was not disappointed the food was cooked fresh and it was lovely.

100% the best in the area. Recommended UPDATE: Went in recently (first time since ownership change) and the food was beyond disgusting. Fish went straight in the bin as it smelled terrible. Hope they sort things out but at present I'm not going back.

what the heck? I have seen price increases but £3.00 on a pat special. £7.90 for a cod? and fish bites that are smaller than fish fingers really two for £6.90 on a pat special? we are paying for those expensive boards they have put up

Great new owners and the quality of food is execptional

Lovely friendly staff but food wasn’t as good as it usually was before and the prices have seem to gone up massively.

Massive price hikes - more than next nearest chippy by far, massive menu change, the lovely staff have been replaced, Think this place must have changed hands. Shame. Will be using alternative chip shops in future.

Been a regular at Pat's for over 10 years but came in tonight to find new people had taken over,no problem I thought, but when I got told the price of my food I queried it as it was a lot more than usual and got told "cost of living luv or doesn't that apply to you" nice customer service NOT! Luckily, there are plenty more chippys to choose from, sad, but that is not the way to treat your customers!

Old man (guessing the owner) was rude about asking for prices especially as his ‘menu’ hardly had anything on it, walked off as he couldn’t be arsed to check the system in front of him so he asked one of the younger staff to serve us as again he couldn’t be arsed. Chips were old and all stuck to the paper and the curry sauce looked and tasted like water Would avoid this fish shop one of the worst around Stourport👎

Has to be the one of the best I know

Just been in for the first time, had small cod and chips for £7.10 with a can. Everything was fantastic, proper chippy chips (I like mine a little less crispy than many folks, perfect for me, perfect for chucking in the oven for everyone else! Good batter, well filleted and perfectly cooked fish. Good size portion (it was a big bit of fish, loads of chips), friendly staff. Can't ask for any more than that. I shall be back.

Fab place, best in the town in my opinion.

This was the worst fish and chips we have ever had. We were visiting family that live in Stourport and although we spent £30 on a meal it all went in the bin. The fish was terrible. Chips were all small bits. The kebab had very little salad and sauce and was cold. When we complained they weren’t bothered. Very disappointing. Avoid at all costs.

Wow, we always have fish n chips when we are on holiday, we have them at home but not that often. Finding good fish n chips isn’t easy these days due to the belief that everything has to be cooked to order. When I was a lad the chip shop had stuff cooked and ready to serve all the time. Having fish in the warmer allows the batter to dry out so it’s nice and crisp and lovely. Pat your fish n chips are of a quality so good you deserve a knighthood. The price will take some beating also.

Very disappointed- a friend had advised pats were offering gluten free on a Wednesday. So we asked yesterday - to be advised - yes they were - although the staff member did have to check….and they were open until 9. We returned at 845 and were advised no chips and nothing at all gluten free. As I said very disappointing.

Very fair pricing. And a Good deal after 8_45 in the evening. Sometimes I get two peices of fish and a sprinkle of chips for 3_50. Keeps the weight down?

When i ordered got an assistant who did not really seem to care. Chips were OK but the batter on the fish was not crispy (fish itself was fine) but soft and stuck to paper it was wrapped in.

Pat's fish and chip bar never disappoints. They do their utmost to provide different ways of delivering food to you if you cannot visit their shop. They are also aware of their responsibilities towards those with exemptions, too. They put many other service providers to shame. Oh! I nearly forgot, their food tastes great too.

Good fish and chips plus a selection of burgers, kebabs etc... always a queue at weekends which is a good sign, efficient service though 👍

After expressing our opinion online for a review because food was late, cold and items missing, tried to reorder giving them another chance and they stated that we were banned because of our review. I was disgusted. It speaks for itself really.

Having recently bought a caravan in stourport we have tried a few takeaways but this chip shop is definitely our go to place, the food is always fresh and the kebabs are the best I’ve had outside of Turkey and Greece and the staff are friendly and patient even when the wife can’t decide what to have

Tried to call an order through but they had turned their phone off because they were busy meaning I had to wait in a huge line to get in then wait while they cooked the order. Total of 1 hour which meant my Chinese was cold but my husband's food was hot. Not happy at all.

I have been using Pats since I came to Stourport over 17 years ago. It’s a special treat about once a month and I have never found the food less than exceptional and the service excellent. I’m surprised to see negative reviews for Pats but let’s face it most people only leave a review when they have a bad experience and not when it’s great which is most of the time.Just had our tea from Pats, mixed meat kebab with salad for me and a mini fish meal with mushy peas for my missus. All cooked fresh and more than we could eat.Keep up the good work Pats... sick of the moaners on here.
